I mean, if you really do love them (Which is the only reason I can even fathom for keeping them) then wouldn't it be better to just put them somewhere where they can actually get fed? Fuck, if they're that much of a financial drain and you can't sell them then just give them to someone else free of charge! Certainly better than starving them to death!
