Sweden could be set to ban all religious schools, following a proposal from the leading party ahead of this year's election.
The Social Democratic party, which currently leads a minority government, has pledged to ban all religious free schools to tackle segregation in the country.
Ardalan Shekarabi, Sweden's minister for Public Administration said that 'teachers, not priests and imams should be in charge of schools'.
The proposal is not yet backed by parliament, but several other parties have criticized establishments of more religious free schools following reports of gender separation in classes at existing institutions.
'We have to knock down segregation to keep Sweden together… school segregation must therefore also be broken down,' Ardalan Shekarabi told a news conference in Stockholm.
Mr Shekarabi said his party, which has been losing support to the main opposition party the Moderates in the most recent polls, hopes to gain voters' support on the issue.

No one is allowed to have that, the schools aren't religious to begin with. What the article fails to convey is that this is something pushed by one party for the election later this year. If it comes real all the companies running the schools have to do is rebrand them as the "arabic school" instead of "islamic school" or any other non religious name. Who owns it doesn't matter since it can't change what you teach.

Technically that's possible if someone wants to start one. One of the free schools is "the english school" which is a brittish cultural school. They recently came under fire for their use of school uniforms as those are not allowed in Sweden. The issue with the free schools is mostly bureaucratic imo, someone's getting annoyed by some details and start causing shit for personal reasons. It's really kind of unclear what this whole thing is about, no one is mentioning specifically that they want to close the islamic schools but it's probably what they are thinking of. It's illogical since there's only 10 islamic schools, the other 60 are christian and the social democrat party pushing this themselves have an organization for christian socialists.

It's not politically logical at all, I find it coming out of the air, which makes me wonder what the fuck is going on here. If it really was about schools breaking rules (as is implied), you can just target the specific rule breaking schools, similar to how you'd cancel the permit for restuarants or grocery stores for breaking food security regulations.

I'm not sure about the homeschooling thing, calling it a "ban" isn't a correct description of reality. If someone is working as a child actor or musician/pop idol for example they don't have to follow study plans or attend school.

Pushing propaganda to such a point where its obviously propaganda then forcing people to go to the propaganda sessions. On top of that this bans sandniggers from school and points out how Jews get privileges. This is like dropping THE JQ on everyone. Hell if I wanted to make everyone in a nation pissed at a certain group I'd make a fucking law saying they get to ignore laws that everyone else has to follow. Add that a good amount of sandniggers already hate the kikes and are now forced to be in the same room as the previously blue pilled students and they will not only be redpilled about how fucking gay sandniggers are but they will be redpilled about the kikes.

They're not "religious institutions", they're state funded schools run as private businesses. I've watched the debates and there's been no mention of any jewish school in any way, reading it here is the first time I ever heard of it. There's a vague aim at closing islamist schools and that's about it.
A survey showed 3 out of 4 swedes support the idea of banning religous schools altogether. This just shows how deep into atheism swedes in general are, I didn't think it was this bad. Maybe the image I had was biased because I tend to look at the positive examples. Reality is starting to break through more and more lately, and the image of modern swedes emerging isn't flattering.

But looking at the bigger picture I'm personally against the general education system so closing schools is a good thing overall imo. It's just that the reasoning behind this particular proposition is weak and illogical.
