>The resolution was written by Democratic state Rep. John Ray Clemmons. It doesn't name any particular group. It calls on law enforcement to go after white nationalists and Neo-Nazi groups with the same "fervor" as other forms of terrorism.
>"[W]e urge law enforcement to recognize these white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups as terrorist organizations and to pursue the criminal elements of these domestic terrorist organizations in the same manner and with the same fervor used to protect the United States from other manifestations of terrorism."
>But when it came up Wednesday before the House State Government Subcommittee, it died a quick death. How quick? About 36 seconds.

This is the Democrat's strategy to win in Red States. Not trying to do what they did in Pennsylvania to win a seat in a district won by Trump by 20 points - by running a conservative democrat who does not want Nancy Pelosi as the Democrat Leader. No, they do shit like this, decrying alleged right-wing terrorists. I hope that's their midterm election strategy

Is there any chance that the general public will figure out how ridiculous this train of thought is? And, more importantly, do something about it?

It might have been if it had passed because the fallout would have shown them what the bill actually was about. But Democrats are good at Doublespeak and uses 1984 as a handbook. Like CNN and others call this a bill for "Neo-Nazi" and "White Supremacy" , but the bill says "White Nationalist". So people out there will believe that this was the bad Republicans protecting white people who wants to exterminate all other people. And not what the bill targets, namely white people who wants to preserve national borders.

The public did elect Trump and Hillary's "deplorable" shame tactic backfired super hard.

The same with the "Fake News" label. They tried to cement the notion that they were the sole arbiters of truth but they had to not only abandon the attempt but were forced into censorship damage control mode when the public redirected the label and accurately started calling the legacy media liars.

That's indication to me that many normies can see the truth even if they won't speak it aloud.

This. A lot of people just prefer to keep quiet and vote.
