>>126699Well this is going to go swimmingly, Kim's probably going to try and push for mutual disarmament and that's just not going to fly.
>>126703It is likely that Kim just going to drag it out into nothing. But I really hope Trump and Kim find an agreement and forces the Nobel institute to give Trump and Kim the Peace Prize. It would open so many new saltmines and fun times.
Kim Jong-un cannot be trusted in any manner. He is a snake whose every action is a lie for power and manipulation. This is nothing and nothing will happen until the North collapses; may it happen soon.
>>126699While there is a low chance of anything positive happening, I am optimistic. The Norkies only goal besides unification, is survival. It is within Trump's ability to work on that point to cut a deal and pacify the region.
>>126729The meeting alone would be a positive and an first. Never before have an US president and a leader for NK met.
But I also think there is hope. Mainly because I think Kim would enjoy fucking with the "political establishment" in the US, something Trump isn't part of. Also as you say Best Korea needs an solution or they will perish by themselves.
Maybe this is all "let the fish go a bit before reeling" from NK's part; but analyzing this as a signal represents a good change from the warmongering stance NK had last year.
I hope this results in peace for the Eastern Asia region, particularly South Korea and Japan.
If Hillary was elected instead, I guess we would have had a blazing nuclear war against NK as for now.
>>126729Pacifying NK is like pacifying Hamas. It's like how Hamas offered a 10-year truce with Israel, and Israel (rightly) refused—the truce would only buy Hamas time to recuperate.
Nah, conflict should continue escalating until Japan allows itself to be cemented as a military power due to necessity.
>>126759I do really want to see Japan re-arm in my lifetime.
>>126759The Japanese self defense force is already a power house in the pacific. I think Japan has been talking about declaring full scale re-militarization likened that of the Imperial days of Japan from a headline I read awhile back. It started around the time Trump was talking about pulling US forces out of Japan and giving them a few anti-missle systems, because its expensive to station troops there. So it may happen regardless of what deals NK makes, as long as Trumps pulls through with pulling out of Japan. It would also solve a lot of issues for Japan, such as the conflict over military bases, land, US soldiers raping civs (turns out all the rapists are blacks when they found a cave full of murdered rapists, go figure), etc.
>>126960There's still a part of their constitution that prevents them which is article 9.
>North Korea has not conducted a Missile Test since November 28, 2017 and has promised not to do so through our meetings. I believe they will honor that commitment! -Donald J. Trump
