For starters, "AI" is nowhere near the level required to do this stuff effectively on such a scale, secondly, this method would only work on already dull minded normal people or kids. Lastly, nowhere does he mention where he got this information, as this would be damning and a gross violation of privacy if done without a user's explicit consent.

Shit like this is simple to beat by educating your kids, educating your friends. Knowing is half the battle, read your EULA, stop just clicking accept. Encourage longer attention spans in the people around you, discourage instant gratification and the sidelining of patience. If you fall victim to this, it's your own damn fault.
