We should be prepping AND creating close-knit communities. There is not enough information on community formation in prep threads.

Start with a passive defense where neighbors will warn each other about intruders, then work on an active defense where a trained and geared militia can coordinate and defend territory. Then and only then can you consider RWDS's.

I'm planning to do that, doesn't mean you have to. And suburbs are fine if you aren't surrounded by potential enemies. Graduate first and I have no idea about healthcare.

If you are in a city the total amount of your “prepping” should be acquiring firearms and ammo, lots and lost of ammo and good men to use them.
It will not matter how many tons of dehydrated chicken tendies you have in your attic. It will matter how many rounds of ammo you have.
That said ruralfags absolutely should be stockpiling good for winter and or communism.
And we all need better tight knit communities. Go out and learn your neighbors name. No need to sperg about how cool hitler and ponies are, just exposure to you will inevitably lead to red pilling. But you need to meet your neighbors for that to happen.

big cities (in the west in particular )are a marxist mindpoison central and the first places to turn into a slaughterhouse in case of a national or global emergency. that is not to say that anything in the countryside wont turn to shit, but you are probably much better off there than in an urban battleground with tens of thousands of people killing each other over scraps.
