I've been wondering this for quite some time, but as time has gone by I've noticed the community feels different somehow, or maybe it is just me.

To get a better grasp of the whole thing, I want to know what each of you think about the idea of mlpol. Your concept of what we are so to speak.

I've come up with a series of question guidelines I think would sum up said vision fairly accurately. But if you think there's a better way of expressing such concept be my guest.

-How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.
-Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st
-Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
-Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?

The idea behind this is to create a line between /mlpol/ in the past and /mlpol/ today, and try to predict where it might go in the future. Also, try to see if we're done something wrong along the way.

> How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its
goals, its strengths, etc.

I don't think we have goal, if we do its probably a shared goal with Pol in spreading it's ideology. Maybe you could consider getting back at 4 Chan an old goal we had back when we raided qa. not having a goal is probably our biggest weakness besides userbase. our strength is our unique board culture and anti-reddit powers

> Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st

because it had traffic and people who want to use the mlp or Pol boards had to use mlpol

> Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?

sadly I think we will probably die out in 1 to 2 years if we don't get more traffic.

> Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?

yes we have less people but these people now have board culture different of the two boards from which we came

You know why it was so effective? Because it came of nowhere, no one expected it, all shills and trolls used to easy responses were not ready for the bombardment of pony porn which a lot of people can't stand, all the users didn't expected /mlp/ to get used to it and actually contribute, it was a surprise and no matter how many people you contract or how many autism do you have, you can't beat a shitton of users who oppose you, the shit users were overwhelmed and were not able to fight back. The anti shilling was at the top for that moment.

>How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.
A site for discussion of politics with ponies, or ponies with politics. Goals? a mixture of increased discourse and old fashioned lulz. Also, to recreate the joys of old 4chan. Strengths? /mlpol/ is one of the most efficient ways to produce salt and rage in the world. Right wing politics is still the counter culture, and we can have some fun with autistic leftists. /mlp/ can still after 7 years cause autistic screeching on 4chan, something that not even /pol/ can adequately accomplish. Also, not to make them feel that good about themselves, we have mods that communicate and will interact with the community. Also, Rule 10. Weakness? We are small, divided, and directionless.
>Why do you think it worked so well back in April 1st
We had fun. A trick was played on us, and we did something in return that made them rage with salty, salty, salty tears. We became friends. We had clear enemies with Reddit, the mods, /qa/ and the /jp/sies, which built camaraderie. Also memes.
>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
Realistically? A mixture of raiding, thumbing our noses at 4cucks, and discussing Ponies and politics. There are of course other opportunities, but that depends on community involvement, and time anons are willing to spend.
>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
Lost some numbers, lost some excitement, and am having less fun. We argue amongst ourselves, but not much else. We aren't doing a whole lot. We need to do something.

>How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.
My Little Politics is a community of bronies who embody the right wing politics of /pol/. Because it is an amalgamation its goals are twofold:
firstly, to secure the existence of a future for the white race and for our children;
and second, to ensure that My Little Pony continues to be a model cartoon that all ages can enjoy.
The board's strength is its small size and relative anonymity. Everyone but the most oblivious normies knows about 4Chan and to a lesser extent /pol/, and so that site is closely monitored and often attacked. My Little Politics is unknown even among many bronies and /pol/acks, so it is a reliable safe haven for people of our views like /pol/ was back in the day.
It's weakness is the same. Its small size reduces its capability both to obtain information and exert influence, and in order to grow in size it must necessarily advertise itself.
>Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st
I am a new anon and was not there back in the day, but there is something beautifully paradoxical about mixing politically incorrect right-wing views with a kids' show about ponies. It's a meme like Pepe the Frog is.
>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
4Chan is getting cucked so /pol/acks are more likely to use our board as well as 8CHan. We'll be sort of a backup board and can be invaluable in that regard. We are also in a position to redpill the large brony community and get the more politically based portion of it to frequent our board.
>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
Again, I joined just a few weeks ago so any answer I give would be invalid.

>How would you define /mlpol/
/mlpol/ is a board meant to try and save two communities in which were nearly dead on apirl first. We had accept our old communities as dead and were in acceptance of a decline and soon to be death of what we once loved. /mlpol/ was proof that with the two communities put together we could control the destiny of our board yet again and all the lulz that came from triggering faggots over ponies and politics combined gave us something that no one else ever wanted to touch besides our communities.
>what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.
Its goal overall is just to return to the original state of both our old boards, for /pol/ this is being able to have an honest conversation with anons who actually want to and for /mlp/ this is the good old lulz of pissing people off with ponies while enjoying clop and honest discussion of the show without unreal amounts of shitposting when it comes to babyfags and glimmerniggers.
>Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st
Like I said it brought new life into two dying communities. It gave /mlp/ something to do and new blood outside their containment board which they are banned if they post outside of. It gave /pol/ a day of no shills and no reddit. But overall it gave both the opportunity to mix and mingle with redpills and horsepills.
>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
Depends, as a community we are scattered, this is a great board and I'm happy it exists but a lot of those who love the community don't post here due to lower traffic or just due to not having done a lot of searching after /mlpol/ died I was one of them if it wasn't for one of your fishing trips I would have thought the dream was dead. We will go one of two ways. 1 We get a lot of fresh blood from those who have forgotten which will get discordfags over here because we will actually get above 100posts an hour consistently or 2 we will die off due to low traffic and anons will all leave. Neither one will suddenly happen but both are still very possible.
>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
Yes not only do we have a lower amount of posters but this has played out to be a huge disadvantage to the community overall. We as a board were created by anons who kept the dream alive on discord because its what they had to do. But due to this most of us know each other on discord in some way or another even if we try to avoid using it. That and anons can be called out by their posting habits and unique flags. This is a disadvantage overall because its kill anonymity. Anons will shit on Nigel just due to his posting habits of seeming a bit arrogant because they correlate it with his flip outs. People shit on wifu thief because of what he has done. People will suck up to Vril because he is does high quality posts and makes good threads. We know all the fins here run our 4cc team. If it wasn't for the fact that we had so many burgers this would be a lot bigger of a problem. But as it stands it still is a big problem just because of how small the community is, I'd say the way to safeguard this is by making something like /pol/ has currently with a few optional flags so anons can continue to be anons and we won't have to expect every anon to need to talk to the mods to change it.

I hope you're just sleepy or bad at English(in which case you're definitely not white and probably should get deported back to shithole you came from) , or you're not from around these parts, in which case I recommend you to read up on imageboard culture and terms on sites like Encyclopaedia Dramatica and generally lurk. Shit's useful. Anyway, let's get to the point

>How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.

MLP-related discussion plus political meme stuff and things generally related to current happenings + anime, because it's not a true imageboard without some anime.
Goals? What goals? We're doing it for the keks and for our waifus, who we will make real either by memes or by advancing technology enough to make them real.
Strengths? We can reliably deliver anal madness to pretty much anyone, really. And our mods and admins actually communicate AND interact with the community reliably. Even 8chan doesn't do that. Not to the extent this imageboard does. Weaknesses? No lolicon, for example, even though the servers are in Canada and that stuff seems to be allowed over there(or maybe I'm confusing Canada with Commiefornia). Also, we don't seem to be dedicated enough to our goals and we're plain small, too small. I really wish the site was as active as our Discord channel. On the other hand, our small size may be an advantage.
>Why do you think it worked so well back in April 1st?
Why do YOU think it worked so well? It's true that /mlp/ and /pol/ were screeching autistically at first. But when we noticed that we had 0 shills(ZERO SHILLS!!!) amidst our screeching, we quickly became friends. Not only that, but it basically revived both communities, if for a little while.
>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
2 Hell, m8 As someone already said, it depends. Maybe we should try getting and converting Discord fags over here?
>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
Yeah. One was fast and good and active n shieet and the other one is slow, but good, but not really active n shieet.

A bit of both. The mods have been getting worse but its likley because Mook fired a lot and a lot were let go after /mlpol/'s controversy. But before then I'd say it was the election mainly bringing in newfags. I went to my Uni's free speech wall about a year ago now and there were a bunch of "/pol/acks" so either redditors or /b/tards all claiming they were /pol/acks. I asked them how they found /pol/ and those being honest admitted it was the election while browsing r/t_d while those being less honest would say shit like "I've been browsing since 2010 mang" which was still bs otherwise they would have said since it was /new/. They were also all talking about their favorite E-celbs like Sargon and the lot of them claiming to all be classical liberals and civic nationalists. It was right after the election as well so I left a bit more disillusioned in /pol/.

It wasn't just the (((mods))) either, there appears to have been a large contingent from reddit and elsewhere that put all kinds of pressure on the mods, and its alleged that several mods were sent packing surrounding it. Too much of 4chan's userbase tacitly accepted the decision, while others stayed on Discord. Mlpol.net very well can return to what it was, if more anons were/are willing to participate. Part of the problem is that 4chan now perma-bans Mlpol.net fishing, and another part of the problem is that many anons STILL don't know about it.

4mod kikery is well established, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
I'd say the biggest weakness to Mlpol.net is not the size of the user base, but rather impatience and misinterpretation. 4chan became as successful as it did because it ground-breaking, but now there's lots of chan sites and spin-offs. Mlpol.net will need to innovate rather than duplicate in order to grow, and it will take time and commitment, which tbh is somewhat antithetical to chan culture.
Tl;dr Mlpol is fighting the last war, rather than figuring out how to win the current one.

It is not easy for me to make a post like this, perhaps i am too blind to see the shortcomings of the machine i am engrossed in, but i will give it a try.

>How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.

I made a somewhat similar thread recently about the self defined purpose a number of posters associate with the site and the community. The response that seemed most rational to me was that we are kind of what the original idea of /New/ wa ssuppoed to be on 4chan.

MLPOL is overall a good site and argueably maybe the singular best board/site I have ever used since I am on the internet. That is by no means to say it is perfect, but its efficient and competent, for the most part.

My gripe is, we have generally to slow of a site now. that is not to say i want a speed as back as 4mlpol, but id like to mix up the front page of the main board at least once or twice per day to completion.

A disscussion and thought exchange group group with elements of activism, philsophy, spiritualism and art.

>Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st

the shock factor, mostly and the utter hatred the alien elements of each board experienced when they had full frontal contact with each other on the start of a weakend. the leftybronies on /mlp/ versus the ledditor shills on /pol/ BTFOd each other with their vitiriol. eventually by sheer luck magic happened and this board was born out of the primordial soup that existed since years before the fusion.

>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?

At its current pace I see MLPOL slowly but surely becoming doormant. Not because the site is bad, but our site managment lacks drive and campaign leadership in regards to site expansion. Both for the userbase, associate sites, quality control and communal responsibility. There are untapped sources of potential for MLPOL surely, but to drain them we will need a significant change in course of action. I saw a similar pattern of behavior and events on another pony board and it would be very regrettable if MLPOL were to squander its potential and drift off into obsucrity out of inaction.

-Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?

speed, post quality, mindset, topic. I coudl go on, but i wont. /mlpol/ and MLPOL.NET are not the same thing. they are very similar, but we have shed off our skin. We are something different now, more close to a well oiled machine than convoluted mess of confusion and anger the primordial board was. ANd that is in my opinion for the better.

I said in the past that MLPOL decideds over its own destiny, that we are guests in this house rather than its owner. But over the past months the community and the staff have grown toegther to a level where i can no longer say that with a clear consiousness. If MLPOL were to splinter up into cells, i dont think we would survive for long or prosper to a significant degree. If that if overall for better or worse, i yet fail to decide completey. I guess you can say our tree has taken root.

>Define
/mlpol/ is an all encompassing concept of two dual core concepts, ponies and politics, like truth and happiness (contrasting at surface) intertwined into a merriment of an idea that is greater. Like the fasces, politics are the rod and ponies the axe. /mlpol/ is a "stronger in unity" ideology, in the light sense of the word, that seeks a collective that is to be reckoned with. This has existed beyond April 1st and before; whether it be the great game between /mlp/ and /pol/ in the 4chan Cup or the Manos thread of old, but I would say that the first glimpse of power was Aryanne. Aryanne threads were basically National Socialist training grounds with recruiters who didn't watch the show, thus the Aryanne threads were the first sign of /mlpol/.
>Goals & Strengths
Let's start with the strengths, this sphere is reactionary. Not just in ideology, but in "action". The dens of /mlp/ & /pol/ rotted to their very core, becoming husks of their former selves. Bad mods, bad content, stagnation, shills, etc… When paired, the two boards saw internal divide, but then smelled the roses when seeing that something happened. This was good. All was free persay, but when it was taken away, then started the reaction. There was a force to the new board that conquered the ails of the old, to this day we kept it. In a sense, we already achieved one of our goals, that being the removal of blights. But, let's not get to goals just yet. I'd say there's a unity that is textured finely with a sense of quality. There's a nigh lack of decentralisation. So, whatever points from yesterday are remembered today as an whole. Narratives are weaved into this board's atmosphere. Making a common sense of mind easier. But, not only that, new ideas are explored & doors unexplored are opened. A new identity with a new start that allows new ideas. There's also this freedom that's attractive. More people stray to us realising there's no more shackles here plaguing anyone anymore. We also have a strong moderation to boot that I only wish choose what's right.
Weaknesses are few, but the far biggest is production. Content is an issue that's lacking. Artists are small in amount, and smaller in time along in dedication. Many people also point to small numbers, but that is a strenght as well very adaptable with some independence. I'd say the problem right now is the direction with expansion. Our efforts in this department are scatterbrained, unfocused, and with much real effort. Many have accepted this as a fact of life, but I believe it needs some proper thought and active effort, however we should fall to pitfalls in our operations before.
Our goals? Of course, grow greater in size! To expand, and more importantly see the fall of the flaccid forebears that we revolted against! We will do just that in time. The old will tire while we maintain our vigour. Never put out or keep down, always steady towards our goals. The shifting of tides will come, and we will be ready. What we see here is the cataclysm for change.
>Why did it work?
Because, as I said, it was already here. Once you've tasted freedom, you want to go get it. April 1st was that first taste. People were tired with the old, bitter taste of deterioration.
>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
We have a culture now. The first phase was dipping its toe, now we have taken a full plunge in our potential, even then there's so much more! We're drowning now, drowning in horse pussy.

This site is really good and in many ways better than the chins pol is absolute trash by now but it felt a little slow the past few days.
We could definetly increase the userbase but we should still fly under the radar.

I myself am more of a lurker because of secret reasons
I wanted to create a thread discussing capitalism but the high standard of the threads and since it is a hot topic I hesitated.

I don't know where this project will head but I hope it stays around and increases the userbase slowly but steadily.

Do we have any? I mean, I used to think 4/b/ was a place where all the "normie" tier stuff gets hijacked and remade in anon's twisted ways - same for 4/pol/ but with less edge. But here? Of course, we wish to perserve whtie race and it's heritage, and doing so by the use of those fucking pastel colorful horses is nice way to do so. We can also do the things like HWNDU, Tay, MD's Hitler Did Nothing Wrong or support few politicians that oppose globalists&kikes, like Assad does.
>Its strenghts?
We know who is the enemy, staff is not compromised, and we are learning from the past mistakes.
>Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st
Because it was sudden and both communities share common values while also they are completely different. mlp/ and /pol/ are ying-yang, fire&water, sun&moon.
>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
To take over the whole world of course! And for real? After /pol/ & well, duh, /mlp/, will be in such shit state that noone "of old" would like to sit there, they might eventually come here, for /mlpol/ to be actual sucessor of both of those boards. And I guess we would welcome any Anons looking for a nice place to stay and discuss different matters.

Our average posts per day have been falling until the beginning of this month according to the home page scrape I do daily.

(Archiving or purging is messing with my stats now so I have tossed out ridiculous post count daily changes to make a somewhat sensible chart.)

-How would you define /mlpol/; what it is, its goals, its strengths, etc.
It's a collection of horsefucking autists who are /pol/ users as well Its main goal would be restoration of /mlpol/ on 4chan proper. Strengths? Horse pussy?

-Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st
Shills aren't really allowed to look at bestiality for cash and R_thedonald don't want to look cartoon ponies doing things that they wouldn't even do with their 'wives'

-Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?
I see it as an easy going coalition of the willing who use their light influence of the main board of /pol/ to guide it steadily on a path where normies don't feel welcome

-Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?
yeah significantly there is a lot more political diversity on the board than their was however there is also significantly less political debate.

>Shills aren't really allowed to look at bestiality for cash

I wonder if that is actually true and if pornography in general repels MSM detractors on a economic basis. Because if this turns out to be true MLPOL may have found the chan board penicillin of the internet age.

On the contrary, porn is alo one of their weapons. Blacked, interracial, mongrel, you name it. Bestiality just has a specialness to it.

>define Mlpol
Aside from the obvious pony and politics, its a board full of anons who are willing to get off their ass and work toward building a board that actually matters enough to take an active roll in.
>Y it worked in April
Because some anons wanted something different; how many times had that meme-creator Pepe meme been posted where "reasons to live" was blank? Additionally, other anons wanted to shitpost, troll, and mine salt from whoever was an easy target; at first the target was /mlpol/, but quickly the trolls became the target. But ultimately, it worked so quickly and easily because no one had to lift a finger for it, it was just "there" all of a sudden. Everyone got their way, and some anons (/pol/ most particularly) got a chance to experience what life was like not dwelling on every single redpill in an otherwise normie-infested world.
>Where's it going
The sky is the limit, assuming anons drop this "Its gonna die soon" bullshit.
>difference
Tangibly. The anons who are here are carrying the torch so to speak, trying to develop the essence of what the serendipity of /mlpol/ was, through time, effort, personal expense, and determination. 4/mlpol/ was something to remember, and Mlpol.net will only grow as a result.
No matter how many anons are cucked by 4chan, or jerking themselves in Discord, et al.

Thanks for all the good insight everyone!

It appears to be the consensus is that we are a derivative from the unholy alliance of /pol/ and /mlp/, and that it worked because nobody was never expecting it, and it gave both boards room to breathe.
The only consensus later is that we need more mlpol, both culturally and in quantity.

Truth is, I made this thread because I was twiddling with the idea of what mlpol is.
It all comes with this flag that was made back when both sides sat down and decided to create what would the symbol of mlpol's community.

The thing is, when I see this flag I see neither /pol/ nor /mlp/, but /mlpol/. That gave me the question, is /mlpol/ a mix of both trees? The tree of /pol/ and the tree of /mlp/ planted in the same land and sharing resources to become stronger in their own right? Or have both worlds interweave in what they are and are not a separate thing? What are the differences between /mlpol/ and its parent? Are we a different culture altogether? If so, then what is /mlpol/ culture?
I want to solve this question, because as of now, I think we are still too abstract of a union to have a proper definition and idea of what the future might yield.
Yet, I still see a different culture from both /mlp/ and /pol/ when I look at this flag. I think I can see what /mlpol/ is, but I cannot grasp it. And until then, I don't think we'll be able to grow to our full potential.

I'll answer the rest questions as well.

>Why do you think it worked to well back in April 1st?

There was much salt and butthurt from the banter attempt, and it scared off the shills and reditors from /pol/. It also broke the link for bots to post since it was no longer 4chan.org/pol/
But I am of the opinion that the union went beyond this. That the union refreshed the soul of he two boards.
It gave both boards exactly what each needed. /mlp/ got someone to talk to, outside their containment board, which was nothing but the same waters they had been swimming since its inception, unable to get out. Opening the outside gates let catch a glimpse of fresh air they had forgotten about. And in the case of /pol/, used to see how their home is disappearing, how each and every part of their world keeps slowly crumbling beneath them, and how the redpill taught them the world is much more horrible and despairing that they were ever told. /mlp/ brought to them an element of fun, and joy, that they had long forgotten. Similar to the feeling of a kid just having fun and enjoying themselves. And that's when we were born.

>Where do you see /mlpol/ going in the future?

I honestly don't know. It still too early to tell, and in terms of size and age, I believe we're barely a baby trying to stand on their feet. A question like that would require much more input than the numbers we have right now. We are a decent size, and still growing, but I believe we can do so much more. That's why before that happens, I want to properly understand what our roots are and who we are, to properly guide new people towards whatever common goal we happen to fight for.
I believe we can reform and improve both /mlp/ and /pol/ for the reasons I laid above, but still being something completely different than them both.

>Would you say there's any difference between /mlpol/ today and /mlpol/ of April first?

Size and enthusiasm is one, but I also believe the concept was forming, and when the process was broken back at early April, and the board was frozen, I think we also stopped looking for our meaning and just fighting for survival. Which make sense. But I think we never continued that search. Might be because lack of people, might be because the board is comfy enough for people not to worry much about it anymore. Or maybe I'm the one being paranoid and we have actually found our purpose, and I just cannot see it.

/mlpol/ would not be a conjoined (whole) spirit as well as a source a force of reckoning had it not been for her rebellious nature. In her heart lies this simple characteristic of the untameable.
