Does Boeing make ANYTHING that works anymore?
https://vxtwitter.com/WholeMarsBlog/status/1804378066308993395What are the political implications of systemic incompetence in the private and public sector compromising sophisticated research and engineering projects?
May as well pack up and hand the show over to Elon Musk or something
>>374000This whole thing is a shitshow. Boeing and SpaceX both got contracts at the same time to build capsules. Boeing got twice as much money to build theirs. SpaceX's Crew Dragon has flown twice a year since 2020, including one time with an all-amateur crew. Starliner failed to dock at the ISS in 2019 and they're still struggling to complete a manned flight. This flight that's screwing up now was delayed several times over the last two years. They finally get it together and now the crew is stuck on the ISS.
Boeing needs an African American CEO, like SpaceX.
>>374005It's funny because she's good at murdering people and terrible at everything else.
NASA "forgot" how they got to the moon and lost the original tapes....hopefully all (((astronauts))) parish in space
>>375585>NASA "forgot" how they got to the moon???? No they didn't.
>hopefully all (((astronauts))) parish in spaceWhat do you have against scientists on the ISS?
>>375585>hopefully all (((astronauts))) parish>parishHmm yes... Galactic communion. Every day is a good day to thank Christ when in space.

Go back to your containment thread.
>>375610Usually, if posts are off-topic, that discussion can be moved to the relevant thread. However, if something is claim to happen in space and your standpoint is that space, as we know it, doesn't exist; then you're not off-topic.
It's the same for the OP of the humor thread, you can't make fun of flat-earthers and then not expect them to not reply. This is a very organic discussion.
If I remember correctly. NASA's current main goal is to send a nigger and a woman to the moon. Like, specifically send a nigger and a woman for "empowerment" reasons.
>>375644That doesn't really have anything to do with Boeing. Boeing of course is fucking up with DEI hires too though.
Surely they got that retarded nonsense resolved by now, no?
Please tell me they did.
>>375628>However, if something is claim to happen in space and your standpoint is that space, as we know it, doesn't exist; then you're not off-topic.He's simultaneously implying that space isn't real, while also hoping that the astronauts perish in the space that he says isn't real. Idk how he expects anyone to take him seriously.
Regardless, this thread isn't about space, it's about Boeing's abysmal quality control and how it's contributing to the competency crisis in serious industries.
>>375651Fuck, you're right, I just looked into it.
I really like how there's fucking damage control articles on how these people aren't totally stranded in space. Yeah man, just vibing far from home, only way back on the fritz. Totally not stuck lmao.
Why is Boeing even allowed to exist at this point? They're irredeemable fuck-ups.
>>375998As long as what Boeing is making for their military contracts holds up, they'll be able to shit out busted commercial and consumer products with no real impact to their stability as a company.
>>376147maybe it's best for them never to return anyway
>develop capsule to transport astronauts to space station >get to space station >can't dock properly >astronauts stranded outside space station >finally dock after troubleshooting >capsule still fucked up >can't safely leave with astronauts >the capsule will come back to earth without the astronauts >spacex will save the day Boeing is done as a space company. Nopony will take Boeing's space program seriously anymore, they just got embarrassed by Musk and SpaceX
https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/nasa-selects-elons-spacex-rescue-stranded-astronauts-after-latest-boeing-debacle >>376546The sound of the cheeky poltergeist responsible for mucking with Starliner's computers is now banging its head against the intermimensional walls of the craft after learning that it's going to be stuck in space forever
>>376546As if it wasn't creepy enough there's now some hum interfering in the computer's speaker for whatever reason, and the fact they don't know is more worrying.
Which makes me want to transmit this thing at 145.990 in the direction of the ISS
