If you want to avoid WWIII the answer is simple: support the State of Israel.
Call your local politician and urge them to provide financial, technological and economic support to the Israeli Defence Force.
If we can stop the palestinian terrorists ASAP we can end this without sparking a larger war.
Furthermore, this incident shows we CANNOT allow palestine to exist in any for whatsoever. It is too dangerous.

How much money are you actually talking about? Israel already gets a lot of foreign money. It gets so much foreign money that it's begun to funnel the money it receives in "defense" into software development and infrastructure. How many more gorillions of dollars would make a difference here if you're already receiving more than you can actually use on defense?

I think there is a resurgence of anti-palestinianism because at this point in time Isreal has not yet learned how to be multicultural. And I think Hamas is going to be part of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. Israel is not going to be the monolithic society they once were in the last 60 years. Hamas is going to be at the centre of that. It’s a huge transformation for Israel to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode and Hamas will be resented because of their leading role. But without that leading role and without that transformation, Isreal will not survive.
