depending on the "certain restrictions", I'm not entirely sure. any info on what said restrictions are?
>>31359>Do you guys think this will really make a difference for the democrats?Considering the fact that the biggest weakness in the Democuck party is that their constituents are too lazy to turn out, it could increase their chances.
It's not un-democratic though: it just seems like it makes voting more convenient.
>>31359That's a lot like what California did in 2015, automatically registering people to vote when they get drivers licenses.
http://archive.is/jxn52The Democrat's margin of victory in the 2016 election was 30%, whereas it was 20% in the 2012 election, even as Trump won a higher percentage of the national popular vote than Romney did
>>31359I thinks it's a fine move on their part. A lot of people had to deal with not being registered and a lot of shady tricks that prevented being able to vote in the past. I wouldn't say that it will have anything more than a marginial increase in votes for democrats.
>>31369This.
Sure, it might give Democucks an edge, but I'm not kikes enough to reject voting convenience measures just because they may benefit the other side. There's nothing bad about making voting easier, so long as security measures stay in place to avoid potential fraud.
There is a reason why they say in Chicago, Vote early and vote often.
>>31359Registering people to vote isn't necessarily going to have an effect on turnout. Particularly when you're talking about trying to motivate people who are too lazy to even register themselves.
>>31359Which party does it automatically sign you up for?
You could totally screw the Republicans by registering them all automatically as Democrats, making the primary elections in some districts moot (since some districts don't even allow Independents to vote on primary candidates).
People should not underestimate how fucking corrupt Illinois politics are. Anything coming out of Illinois, be it Democrat or Republican, is not to be trusted, and should be driven away like the creature from the black lagoon.
I know this because I'm from Illinois.
on a side note; Chicago should be wiped from the face of this planet with an orbital bombardment.
>>31387Yeah this. We have automatic registration since mid 2000's and it has little to no consequences on turnout. If people are enough motivated to vote, they will do the paperwork to do so.
