>>266298I'm interested... what makes this different from other animation software?
>>266308>>266308the idea that a single person could make a feature length film in a month
the result would be a lower quality film but someone could say put out quick 5-10 animations almost every day without the need to dedicate enormous amounts of time to it
the characters would be controlled as one would a videogame, the more limited range of motion would allow for a significantly faster output
also I just really want to make it
>>266311That's the most important part.
>>266310That... is very feasible. So more of a 2D or 3D kind of thing or both?
No experience with Python but I will be eagerly willing you on. I can think of a million projects I would like to do with such a tool.
I do not have the time to be engaged in this but I wish you the best of luck.
>>266310This is an excellent idea! Now that making new episodes is all up to the fandom, a fast to use product is more important than a detailed one. Scale your expectations realistically!
Unfortunately I can't code at all, but I hope you good luck for the project. Post updates!
>>272109Ponyscape is incredibly easy to use to draw ponies, adjust where their limbs are pointing, and so on.
Anyone could use it to redraw Ponies in vector form, then copypaste them onto traced show backgrounds.
And just like that, a show style webcomic has been made.
>>266310This might have some use even for professionals who can do prototyping with this.
I have produced the first working version of my animation software, it took a long time but im currently on beta 7.1
I can load audio, 40 different objects which can have numerous states and animations tied to each state
movement can be controlled via mouse or keyboard
>>266327right now it's 2D but it uses opengl so once I get the object loader working right I should be able to do 3D as well
>>273120Godspeed anon, I hope to see a version of it soon, even if it's just screenshots of the program
>>273120That's great!
Have a cute poner. I'm really looking foward to it.
