>>199486>Is he a hero or a politician?I think your biggest problem is that you look at it this way. As much as we like to make fun of the left for reducing everything to Star Wars™ and Harry Potter™ references, the truth is that many of us on the Right do something very similar. We want immediate change, we want to see Aragorn ride in with his armies behind him and reclaim the throne of Gondor. While this is a noble enough long term goal and there's nothing wrong with dreaming about the golden age to come, you still have to keep your feet grounded in reality to some extent and understand that any sort of ideological struggle is a ground fight, and you win by taking the victories you can get and holding on to the ground you can gain. Nothing is gained through shooting yourself in the foot over ideological purism. That's what pisses me off so much about guys like Debbie Downer
>>199452 and all their "hurr durr the West is lost, read Siege" bullshit.
Trump is not the Return of the King and he's not American Hitler, and he's never going to be. He's not anything remotely close, he never even presented himself that way, and anyone on the Right who expected something like that in voting for him had no idea what they were voting for, much like the clueless NPC types on the Left that we make fun of, ironically enough. But he isn't a Bush or a Clinton either. Trump's platform is basically grassroots boomer conservatism, which is small government, low taxes and strong border security. Unfortunately, boomer conservatives also tend to support Israel with a fairly rabid level of devotion, mostly due to muh "Judeo-Christian" values. However, without Trump our government would still support Israel, without the efforts to downsize government and increase border security.
At the end of the day, the issue with Trump is not the question of whether or not he's the savior of the West; I can tell you right now that he isn't. Debbie Downer is right about that much at least. However, with Trump the Right has gained significant ground. A stronger economy with more jobs helps white people build lives and start families; prosperity also makes Socialist policies less appealing. That helps us. Having a wall (bigger fence, whatever you want to call it) combined with increased border security stems the tide of mass non-white immigration. That helps us. Having a 5/4 conservative majority on the Supreme Court (possible 6/3 if Ginsberg kicks the bucket in the next two to six years) will provide a significant check on the Left's ability to expand Federal oversight through legislation for at least a quarter of a century. That helps us. If the government shutdown goes on past the 30 calendar day mark department heads can start legally laying off furloughed employees, which could result in an 80% reduction of the Federal bureaucracy. That helps us. However, if someone like Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren becomes President in 2020 and the Democrats retake the Senate while holding the House (realistic scenario btw, if Democrat voter enthusiasm holds and Republicans start giving in to apathy and malaise), they can pretty much undo everything Trump's done, including border security and the wall, repeal tax cuts, resume white replacement immigration policies, add justices to the Supreme Court to negate the conservative majority, and clamp down on "hate speech" on the internet. That doesn't help us.
As to the Q stuff, who the fuck knows. I personally am inclined to think it's probably a larp, but part of me wants to believe. I'm taking a position of cautious optimism on it. However, I can say with absolute confidence that we are better off with Trump than we are without him. He's far from ideal, and all the Reddit-tier Kekistan Magapede faggots that worship the ground he walks on are cringy as hell; however, no successful revolution has ever been pulled off without popular support. If Trump goes, the Democrats will most likely take power back and will probably crack down on us hard to ensure that something like Trump won't happen again. Giving up the reins of government power to the Left in hopes of starting some kind of far-right military revolution is suicidal and will likely just result in some David Koresh style standoff where a handful of us will just die pointlessly in the woods while the normies stay home and watch on CNN. A far better strategy is to just keep pushing slightly-to-the-right-of-normie-Republican candidates like Trump that the Left will interpret as "far right" because they fundamentally have no idea what that even means, causing them to keep flipping their shit and getting frustrated with the system. At that point maybe they will be the ones to attempt a pointless coup and start dying in David Koresh style standoffs, or even better maybe California or some similar place will just fuck off and secede already. Then we can just cut the tumor loose and focus on building something significantly better.
Whether Trump is the hero we need is debatable, but for the moment he's the hero we've got.
