>>139263I don't like the, I do not like changes to the body like that. I also am suspicious that anyone would ever want the same mark to be permanent on their body. What if you change your mind?
God made the human body to be beautiful when at it's finest. Tattoos only sully that image.
>>139264Well, today tattoos are aesthetic, just like plastic surgery, depending on the tattoo, it might make the person look good, no?
>>139268I can't recall when I saw tattoos that didn't look trashy or give a bad impression about the person who had them I'm not saying those do not exist, but they are not the default by any means at all
>>139263I am not that for tattoos. Only time I think you should even consider to get an tattoo is if you are a special force unit that is going into an op where you are more or less certain some of the members won't return alive, and as a group you get tattoos, but not really even then. So generally I don't think tattoos is something to strive for or get.
>>139263For military and cultural reasons I understand them, otherwise I'm not a fan. Especially with where I live, everyone has one, which makes people that don't have them seem more unique then those who really need to "express themselves" with them.
Its interesting to see, we all have almost the same opinions here.
Maybe thats why we don`t have much discussion
>>139279We still have plenty of things we all disagree about, just ask the nat socs and the libertarians.
Tattoos are for Pirates and military personal. Also shit thread (Is x degenerate)
>>139282Or the distributists and capitalists or the naturalists and the transhumanists.
Tatoos are for marking jews.
Tattoos can be cool, but in general I'm not a big fan of them since they look trashy on most people. To get a relatively good tattoo is expensive, and once you have it on you it's permanent unless you get laser therapy. I had a friend that wanted to give me a tattoo too, and he kept going on and I about the different kinds he could do, but I had no desire for one.
>>139271I can see this for a veteran, but even then I remember seeing one soldier whose whole front and back torso was covered in war tattoos. They looked pretty tacky too.
I know some of the branches, like the marines, won't take you if you have certain tattoos.
>>139308True it must be an almost certain suicide mission so if you survive the tattoo actually will have meaning.
Back then, warriors got battle scars, so the young men wanted to replicate their elder's injuries and burnt themselves like so. It's an old tradition. Found even on Europe' oldest naturally preserved body Ötzi. They're quite aesthetic, but can be done wrong. Recently they have been appropiated as lukewarm rebellion. I'd ignore this and get a good tattoo if it suits.
>>139263they are okay but I know basically nothing that is worth putting on my skin or that I wouldn't regret
>>139268Plastic surgery should be reserved for burn victims or other freak accidents.
>>139347Wow, it's THEIR BODY, if they don't feel comfortable in it, they should be allowed to change it.
I bet you have a problem with people cutting their dick open and jamming it into their body backwards to create a vagina too!
God gave me this body so I could fuck it up with all sorts of cosmetic surgery and heroin abuse. Who are YOU to say what I can and can't do?
Like one anon said, for military/ cultural reasons I understand. But outside of that then you better have a good excuse besides “it looked cool”. The tatto should be something you’ve thought about for so long that you are confident that it not only represents your values but something that you won’t feel ashamed about decades later. But it’s your body and money so if you wanna do something stupid without thinking it through then go for it, we live in a free world where it’s allowed
When I was younger all my friends were getting tattooed and pierced and dying their hair and all that. They always tried to talk me into it and I thought about it, but I usually couldn't afford it and had a private fear of being poked with needles. I just sort of said I'd get a tattoo "someday" and then never did. One friend dragged me down to the mall and talked me into getting my ears pierced one time, that was about as far as I went. At this point I'm glad I never did because most of the tattoo ideas I had would have been pretty stupid looking and I'm sure I would have regretted getting them done.
In general I don't approve of body modification because it's always the kind of thing that looks okay when you're young but idiotic when you get old. However I will say though that the friend who talked me into getting my ears pierced had probably the only justifiable reason I've ever heard for getting a tattoo or a piercing.
Basically in high school we were both dweeby beta types, he was in the choir and was religious and all that. Then he fell head over heels for this girl who was into "rebellious" guys, so he went out and bought this cheesy-looking leather biker jacket, started riding a motorcycle, grew his hair out, did all this corny James Dean kind of shit to try to get this girl to notice him and she still friendzoned him hard. However he noticed that other girls paid more attention to him since he'd started doing this stupid tryhard shit, so he decided to throw himself into the "rebel" persona just so he could manipulate and discard women, I guess to get revenge against the one who burned him. He turned out to be really good at it; he got piercings all up and down his ears, in his eyebrows, his tongue, he bleached his hair and spiked it up like Billy Idol or some shit. He even picked up the guitar and wound up getting actually quite good. He didn't even like hard rock music, but he adopted this completely superficial punk rock persona just to get laid, and it worked really well. Bitches just completely ate it up.
He was constantly trying to talk me into it for that reason, was always telling me how easy it was to get pussy once you figured out how to get in character. Like I said he talked me into getting my ears pierced, and for a while I dressed kind of like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad, with the baggy nigger pants and the front of my hair spiked up. It sort of worked for me but I could never sell it quite as well as he did. He was a total poser but he was able to genuinely convince girls that he was some kind of rock n' roll bad ass with a tortured soul and all this emotional shit eating him up, and they just completely fell for it.
At the time I thought it was phony and it kind of pissed me off, especially since it worked so well, but looking back I respect him a lot for it. If anything I think people who get tattoos or dumb facial piercings because they think it "means" something or they're trying to "express themselves" are really the ones who deserve to be called douchebags, because they're really just as shallow and idiotic as my friend was being, except they don't realize it and aren't doing it on purpose. The thing about rock n' roll (or rap or techno or whatever the kids like these days), and really all counterculture, is that it's pretty much all bullshit at its core. If you can figure that out and learn to manipulate it to your advantage, then more power to you I say.
>>139308>I know some of the branches, like the marines, won't take you if you have certain tattoos. It must depend on which tattoos. One friend of mine was a total white trash Juggalo with a giant Psychopathic Records hatchet man on his shoulder plus a hundred other dopey things, and the Marines still took him.
>>139263I'm personally not too interested in them, but if you like it or they make you look better then good for you.
If your tattoos make you look like a idiot it's only your fault.
>>139263There are tattoos that can look pretty decent, but you then have to keep your body in shape so it continues to look good, and then you get older and it looks like shit anyway.
During the Edo era in Japan, tattoos where used to differentiate criminals from the normal citizens.
Thanks for examples like these, jail tattoos and subcultures like punk, tattoos are not really popular amongst the average citizen, yet younger generations are getting tattooed regardless, there's a possibility for a future where tattoos become the norm.
>>139411I didn't think it was possible, but I now respect women less after reading that post
>>139413It depends on where the tattoo is located. It has to be covered by your dress blues so you look presentable in ceremonies as you are representing the Marine Corp, not yourself
Tattoos are repulsive to me from an aesthetic standpoint. At most I might consent to being tattooed with my blood type and some identifying information incase I was critically injured in some catastrophic accident, but fuck that. Keep that needle away from my skin.
>>139263>>139264I don't mind them they have always been a part of cultures around the globe but there is a limit to such things. I got pic related a few years back and want to get it touched up to look better because it didn't come out quite right. It is the old world flag from the Fallout series but to a person that has no idea what it is it just looks like the flag of my homeland.
"What if you change your mind?" that is why you get one with multiple meanings or something that is actually important to you.
>>139263For my is tatoos look really good.
As long as you have the body to have one
Plus, it doesn't help the ones who tat the most look like they are about to stab you or shoot you only because you look them trying to read their daughter/girlfriend's name on their arms.
If you have a good body, and you can pick a good style, you'll look badass. If not, you'll look like a try hard or a street punk.
Having said that, the tatoos i want to make for myself would make me look dumb
I don't have a problem with tattoos as long as they stay away from the head, neck, ankles and feet, those tend to look the worst. I probably won't get one though because I can't really decide on something I would want to get, the best ideas I had were one like Guile's flags or a blackout sleeve.
>>139567>a blackout sleeveNo offense but I cannot see a reason to ink that onto yourself, I’m not stoping you, I don’t see the appeal. You do you, me personally, I would do something similar to pics related
>>139731>I cannot see a reason to ink that onto yourselfI'll give you one:
Take a picture of just your arm and use it as a profile picture on Tinder, caption it with a bunch of "look at my big muscles" kind of shit, use nigger slang and behave as if you're actually black. Then just show up for the date in a sleeveless shirt and be amused by her reaction.
>>139263I am not much of a fan of tattoos in general. most of them look like cheap shit, a sign of low intelligence or poor social standing. A frivolous waste of money to celebrate oneselves self-centeredness.
I am willing to say though, that i do admire traditional tattoo works that have relation to ones life, family or culture. If i were to get a tattoo, i would most likely go into the direction of those.
>>139731Black ink ages best on white skin. Colorfoul tattoos are for women and look like shit after a few years. Do like Yakuza Tattoos though.
>>139785I know this is unrelated but
>pic relatedNever thought I would see a picture of that game ever again in an imageboard.
>>139788Hitler dubs checked. I just looked up some random anime art as i do usually. dont know what kind of football game this is, picked it for the hair color.
>>139801Soccer Spirits, a mobile game.
I used to be really addicted to that thing even though there were only like 10000 players in the global server.
If you don't mind enduring countless hours grinding and you like the concept of the game you can try it out.
The game isn't pay 2 win, but if you want to get to the same level as the whales who spend hundreds of dollars in that game, you have to spend an almost inhuman amount of time in it.
Not to mention the retarded imbalance between different characters. But that is irrelevant to you unless you have the curiosity to play it.
>>139740You shouldn't date nigger hunters
But that's just like, my opinion, man.
>>139263Tattoo's are a mark of a degenerate culture. Most of the time it's like going through some emo 'phase' and then they're stuck there forever. I used to know this neo-nazi with a ton of them, and no matter how articulate he got, the tattoo's showed him for what he really was, an idiot who makes bad decisions. Had to get a swastika tattooed into something else so he could even enter Germany.
>>139411Those are the kind of degenerates that contribute to the destruction of society. You can do all of this without the retarded piercings and tattoos if you're just looking to manipulate someone. Also, because those types are looking to manipulate someone for their own gain, they're degenerates. "Me! Me! Me!" They have no love but for themselves. Folks, this type of culture, man, and women is part of the reason why marriages don't last.
>>139785Weeb :V
Also, regarding your post, pics related. Both are equally as stupid, even the edgy strongman ones like
>>139731.
>>139263Why make a noticeable life decision which is very difficult to reverse, for the sake of aesthetics?
It can be useful for certain purposes as a tool, but I don't see the reason in it. I find them unattractive but that's besides the point.
>>139740What the hell does that have to do with tattoos? I read through your comment 3 times, and I still don't get it.
>>139285You can’t perpetuate the system of minarchism that you want unless your population has a high enough average IQ and you can secure your nations culture through homogenous heritage.
Libertarians ought to embrace race realism.

>>139567Some people seriously just make their entire arm a giant tattoo which is basically just a single color.
