Gun legislation varies from state to state. If you're anywhere that's predominantly liberal, good fucking luck getting anything that isn't your basic hunting rifle, or a Cricket, if anything at all in the case of California or Illinois.

If you're in a conservative state like Texas or Indiana, though, it's relatively the same as getting any other gun.
