Thanks. Universal Pokemon Randomizer changes the Pokemon around in just a few clicks, but Advance Map lets you edit the game world AND change what pokemon appear where at what levels. And add new areas. If you want to get fancy, you can add a pokemon script editor as a plugin and fuck around there, but all a challenge rom really needs is a higher difficulty level and some good surprises.

Don't get me wrong I love Pokemon and some of the stuff about it like battling and the feel of the old game but it takes a mindset for em to play'em fro the start again. For me to play Pokemon, and all rpgs in fact, I need to set aside a lot of time because of the grinding that goes into it. It gets worse that I'm an EV fag and need to EV train the shit out of all my mons before I face any actual trainers, which has gotten considerably easier in the new games but is terrible in the old ones since it means grinding against 516 mon or 208 per mon. I have a great party and I've done a fair bit of competitive play but I dislike having to start all over unless it gives me an entire new setting and set of mons to fuck around with.
