this is a great thing trump is doing because given the Gallup poll on media approval
at least as of september last year the media has an approval from the US public of around 30% comparatively according to Rasmussen trumps current approval is 45% less optimistically the Real clear politics Poll of Polls puts him at around 40% but the point is that with people in general and especially with younger people and his base trump is more popular than the media so it's only a bad idea for them to get down in the mud and wrestle with him on something like this
