I have been looking for something more secure then discord for some time now.
I found only two programs with ideal ratio of securit and ease of use.
First I found out about Riot-Matrix on
https://about.riot.im/I find it pleasant to look at and its pretty anonymous but encryption seems to be lacking a bit.
Only recently I also found out about Wickr on:
https://www.wickr.com/This one strikes me as a bit minimal but more noticeably more secure.
Anyone here willing to help me out and test these?
My name on Riot is: @mancock9999:matrix.org
And my name on Wickr is: muttela
Riot can be used on different servers, but the default one has an SJW-CoC iirc.
As for Wickr, it doesn't have the source available.
>>98Tox is good for groups. Use Bitmessage for one on one.
>>99You're saying that as if Tox isn't perfectly serviceable for personal communication.
Tox is open source, has its own protocol and is decentralized and all that wild mumbo jumbo
>>101Tox is great, but I prefer Bitmessage because it uses Tor by default.
>>102[note: not Bitmessage, but Ricochet]
my mistake
>>103I always get installer with Russian language...
>>101Ok, I made a group chat, now how to test it?
my id is: E721C37317E8342FF9DEA9CE8B154FE9B91FDBDC764ECA3B63E1EFEACEA5892AC0D4FA3ABCA5
>>104I believe you need someone to use the GroupBot.
I'd try using it, but I don't have tox installed at the moment.
>I always get installer with russian language>using Windowsyou already lost the game
Add GroupBot and do invite 4 1488
1488 being the password, obviously.
>>105What exactly do I need to write to message to GroupBot?
>>107I don't know, I just remember that's how Tox groups work.
my tox crashed!
I've been found out!
Well, anyone still willing to help me test Wickr?
My user name is muttela.
