I've always been kind of skeptical of nuclear fusion. It's been "20 years away" for over 30 years now.

There are many projects more or less in advanced prototype stage
one in particular, actually
and it's in the hands of Germany
if they don't fuck up the stellarator program
if they survive muslim invasion
