Why are so many alt chans dead
I miss 2009 bros
I think image boards in general are dying, but I can't imagine why.
>Goes to /bant/
>Child porn in catalogue
I still have no idea why, though. Let's try another board...
>Go to /o/
>EV shills spam and derail every other thread.
>No conversations worth having anymore, but, when they do occasionally pop up, they're quickly pozzed by the aforementioned malicious retards.
>Mods in general are worthless sacks of porcine shit.
Geez, I wonder why...
>Go to any obscure board that might be enjoyable.
>And... The community is hemorrhaging users to homosexual, circle-jerking disckswords if it isn't loaded with bots and shills already.
Lucky fucker. You got enjoy chan's before it was all shit and crippled anti-christ cucked out. Just don't forget that you're here forever, Anon.
Hard to tell and I can only speculate. Some of the reason could be the crackdown on funding and going after hosts. Or perhaps too many moved on to other things and fewer and fewer people stood by to take up the mantle.
I also miss the days when internet was fun.
It's the replacement theory, honey.
The internet used to be a place for nerds, around 2007 it started to open up to people that were not so tech savvy, but they were mostly nerdy so it was alright.
It was around 2012 or 13 that 'commonfolk' started to swarm the internet, specially cause smartphones became more and more common, by 2016 internet in your smartphone is so common, everyone is plugged on the net all the time.
Originalfags are on their 30's and 40's, i don't think many of them care about the internet anymore, lotta them trooned out too, i mean look at somethingawful, lul.
New generations grew up in this nu-internet and believe it or not, most of them like the way it is right now.
It's just the way of things, giant cities (face, twit, youtb, discrd, 4chin, reddt, tc) take up 90% of the population and since everyone is "enjoying the big city" small towns (obscure chans, old sites like newgrounds, dead PHP forums, xat, etc) either wither out or get filled up with weirdos.
Maybe it's time to grow up and find new things to do, the era of epic winrar is over for the internets.
That is true, the golden age of the internet is long gone and won't come back. Maybe like you said, its finally time to go find something new.
phoneposters ruined it all........
Maybe there's still hope. not many people thought Ireland would be so close to Reunification. So maybe the( or another) Golden Age will come upon the Internet.
Never thought I'd unironically say this, but
Sounds like Hopium
The old remains in the past.
Yet makes the foundation and depths for bettering.>>3877
The Internet ran through the Ages. The question isn't if the ever lasting golden age will come, but when.
It has reached and partially synced with what is going on now. However the digital interconnected reality will face the future first. That means by manifesting what is good the best outcome is obtained.
The soulless productions can't manifest reality. They must use the energy from others parasitically. Even then that stolen energy can be changed in accordance to its true owners much like reality.
One small thing matters a lot.
There won't be another internet golden age because the internet is filled with normies now. The internet is easy to use and very convenient due to smart phones. If we want our old culture back then we need something that takes time to learn. Maybe we could use mesh networks on software defined radios. Still there are lots of bullshit laws surrounding those things and we would need a lawyer to challenge them inorder for that to be a viable option.
The issue with this is that you'd only have your small club, or, again, weirdos taking up space
Making something more difficult to use than some already niche imageboards is only going to limit these things to the small handful of people you've told it to, and even then it would be far less convenient to use than hopping onto a place like this.
You're better off creating a neatly gatekept "fraternity group" full of like-minded people... hmmmmm
>>3899>internet golden age
Terms like this exhaust me, as far as the "internet golden age" that Era has long passed, and that was much before imageboards were even a thing. Sure bulletin boards and such were a thing, but it wasn't exactly what I feel you believe is golden. Now if we are talking about a golden age for imageboards I would definitely say there was one, and I think that would be the 8ch exodus, before that ofcourse there were small offshoot imageboards created. But it was the start of a wave and posters choosing a new start in a site, with a promise that no other site had without some personal pull, that being open creation of boards, which opened up new interest boards, that started as small 4chan generals. Give room to shed some light on a niche interest without derailment or sliding off a catalog. Threads can be up forever. >>3933
Time to start a cult.
Both nanochan and 9chan died in the past year. Not that 9chan was worth using, as it was pozzed, but it could have replaced the hole left after 8ch became 8kun
I think that image would be more effective on us if it was mirrored. We read left to right, top to bottom. If we saw the normal anime eye first and then noticed the cracked facade, it would shock us more.
Looks like its time for you to get to photoshop then.
I blame feds and discord troons. Feds can't stand anything they can't control and troons can't stand anything that doesn't cader to their delusions.
