Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where the Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures because of their encounters with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.

I was thinking option D and that the division his Recon Company was attached to was redeployed to the Eastern Front, but option B and C are also likely. I'm not sure on option A. If this is the AI Changeling Lands, then it's only after a complete breakdown of the Equestrian lines from a lack of ponypower that troops seem to get encircled.

The Changelings always make a little advance (unless they make no advance) then stall, then either the war drags on indefinitely in stalemate, or start to lose. It's when a naval invasion takes place that they start to advance... Which I guess implies that the key is troops being redeployed elsewhere
