Why does this happen? I've been trying to post to some threads on the catalog, but couldn't. The threads were cataloged, so they shouldn't be archived.
Or is it that archived threads appear on the catalog on some boards?
>>6553Do you have an thread ID you experienced this on so I can check?
>>6555Thanks. I will check and see if there is a bug in the code.
>>6556I'm also noticing that every thread ever made on /vx/ is still there. Does /vx/ just not have an archive, or is it that all archived threads on /vx/ appear on the catalog.
>>6557The page count on /vx/ is much larger page count than on other boards so no thread have hit archive yet (which might be cause for potential bug). But I will do some testing and look for potential cause.
>>6557Think I found the reason for bug, the page count for when a thread was considered archived was hardcoded to 10 and not using board setting value. Probably bug that snuck in from testing SQL Query and adding the new query into the code.
>>6561Quick as fug, i praise you poner
Have a hot zap
>>6561Okay, now we can post to those old threads.
Does /vx/ simply not have an archive?
>>6563/vx/ at the moment is set to have 100 pages. It is holdover from when we ran vichan/NPFChan. In that code (before rudimentary archive was added to it) threads that fell off the catalog was deleted and lost forever. So when /vx/ was made we set it to preserve old threads by giving really high page count because on role playing games it would be nice to have history back to their start.
>>6564Does that mean that only new threads will be archived?
