I'd recommend checking everything out even if normally you wouldn't. Such as the Anonfilly thread on /mlpol/. All of /üb/. /vx/ for games and the paranormal. /cyb/ for tech and such. /a/ for anime ect. Also all the boards on here are great.
It's just slow. High quality, and a joy to be on. It's a comfy speed to fully writeout what you want or need to. It is a pretty big change in speed though.
