>>381569Go look up the Hatch Act, for starters. Do you remember how Politico existed purely and solely, 100%, to do political hatchet jobs and political agitprop on behalf of the Democratic Party? Do you remember the persistent rumors that started when the web page went up in 2007 that it was a glownigger operation? Did you happen to notice that when they pulled the plug on USAID, Politico instantaneously put up the "we're broke, sorry guise, guess we have to learn to code, lol" message? Politico is very much not the only Deep State agitprop outlet that's suffering a completely coincidental sudden and unanticipated budget shortfall.
The Hatch Act prohibits use of taxpayer funds for partisan political advocacy. It's a felony. It carries a ten year prison sentence. We will know how serious Trump and Musk are about this when Senators
>>381629Lulzy. It'd be nice if it were true. There were threads in /trash/ I used to frequent, but they were constantly getting flooded with blacked porn, diaper porn, scat fetish, piss fetish, guro, ISIS execution videos, bestiality, and all manner of other stuff of that general nature. The mods would ban people for reporting it as spam, while spam continued unabated. This had been going on since at least 2017, and is the reason I gave up on Halfchan last year. Is this true?
Because I am a terrible person with a nasty suspicious mind, if this is truly the case and not just someone making shit up to be funny, I ain't the least bit surprised.
Gather round, kids and kidlets. Let me tell you a little story about another small imageboard I used to frequent. It was a /k/ splinter board that was created in 2007 or thereabouts created by and for people sick of 4chan's pants-on-head retarded moderation. It was never a big site. It probably had fewer than one thousand unique individual posters over the fifteen-ish years of its existence, and probably fewer than a fifth of them were regular posters who stuck around. It had a few sub-boards for people to talk about technical gun shit, do-it-yourself gunsmithing, hobby machinist stuff, a meetup board, a buy-sell-and-trade board, and so on. There were dumb in-jokes and running gags. There were tripfags, some of whom were better than others. There were even some pretty based Canadians and Euros. And there was not that much traffic. People would comment on something like a hands-on review of a set of machinist's calipers from Amazon. Or we'd shit-talk our various governments.
That last bit, I suspect, is why during the run-up to the 2020 elections someone, or multiple someones, started flooding every single thread on every single board with CP. The site owner and his handful of volunteer mods could not keep up. Some days it'd be hundreds of posts an hour. They tried filtering based on image hashes. Whoever was doing this had a bottomless supply of hundreds of thousands of unique CP images. The board owner, a Euro, went to the federal police in his country and got blown off. He sent reports to Interpol. They wouldn't even respond to his emails or his voicemails. He kept logs, with originating IP addresses showing where this DDoS attack seemed to be coming from. He tried to report it to MI5, the FBI, the Australian Federal Police. No one would respond. Someone who had access to thousands of IP addresses worldwide and enormous bandwidth was blasting his servers offline with literal gigabytes of kiddie diddler pictures 24/7 and he couldn't get his country's law enforcement agencies, or anyone else's, to take an interest. The attacks continued for a year and a half and he finally shut the board down at the end of 2022.
And I find it a little odd that no law enforcement agency he tried to contact was ever the least bit interested in doing anything about this. Whoever was doing it had enormous bandwidth. This was not some skript kiddie in his mom's basement. This was someone who had enormous bandwidth to devote to this, someone who had the resources to keep the spam going around the clock for over a year. And whoever this was had mind-boggling amounts of CP to use for this.
And you say that when USAID closed its doors, a different imageboard that had a problem with getting spammed with porn suddenly stopped getting attacked, do you? Hmm. Doesn't that make ya go "hmm?"
