The simplest reason homosexuality is wrong is that the purpose of human sexuality is to make sure the species continues reproducing and doesn't go extinct. Since homosexuality cannot result in reproduction, it is a faulty sexuality.

In fact, it seems to me that the modern discourse on sexuality is practically defined by the attitudes of the modern day. In the ancient past, just about every other culture had at least one tradition or practice we would consider homosexual, and a lot got downright weird, like having the king fuck a horse during his coronation. I've also never seen anyone from that period distinguish between "gay" and "straight", even though they were perfectly capable of saying that someone prefers to screw their own gender or not.
Most famous was ancient Greece, where every other figure has been argued to be gay by hack historians because two people who were good enough friends could (and often did) regularly fuck. Muddying the waters further is that the Greeks had multiple words which are best translated with the sole English word "love", even though the English love has decisively romantic connotations and not all of the Greek words did, which doesn't combine well with the modern idea that sex is meant to be between two ROMANTIC lovers. The fact is that two people who were good friends might very well be screwing each other, and everyone would know it and not care, including their respective wives and biological children, because it was normal. The Romans were similar, as far as I know, and some of the tribes they interacted with practically had "straight" sex as the exception. It's true, Greece and Rome in their heydays had significant cultural practices of doing gay stuff, although it's a far cry from modern homosexual """culture""" to consider sex between friends to be an unremarkable thing. I suppose that's a testament to how much society shapes our view of reality that we can hold parades in honor of a personality trait which used to be literally nothing!
But seriously, don't go to pride parades or do any of the things that are considered "gay culture" in the modern day. It's infantile and shallow.
