Don't care, post ponies
>>54*sigh*
Apparently soyjack.party also has a ninja, because one particular asshole engaged in a very calculated (and likely aided but shush) campaign to infiltrate 4chan staff, successfully. In the process they ascertained all the weaknessess (which were many, the code hadn't been updated since site was purchased in '14) and present staff were kinda retarded in their own right.
It was and is a perfect storm of cluster-fuckery, and who knows what will happen?
This is all so stupid. A bunch of freaks addicted to soyjack posting had a problem with 4chans moderation so they've fucking taken the entire site down so no one can use it? It feels like when a protest for some shit you don't care about is blocking the highway so you can't get to work. I don't know what "sharty" is and I don't want to know anything about it. I just want to shitpost on /mlp/ and /co/
>>304Just like on the highway, the solution is to hit the gas.
I will go where ponies are.
Bit of a silver lining, I honestly thought this website was dead before today.
>>304At least it's going to encourage them to update the fucking site for once. Maybe we'll get some QoL improvements too, though I won't hold my breath.
>/pone/
>ponychan
>/mlp/
>all dead
everything is worse now
>>395Posted this on NHNB but I feel like I gotta post it here too.
The fact that the 4 sites that people have seeked refugee too are only getting like 1 post/reply every 3 minutes is really sad. I feel so alone like I'm on an abandoned side of the internet.
>>396You can try and make most of it. One can get used to the comfyness and enjoy the fact that one can keep up with threads
>>396Apparently a lot of them are just taking to shitting up the sharty like some epik karma for destroying our home.
But I couldn't be assed to bother with that hellsite, I would rather just have a place for pony, being a spamming faggot isn't really appealing.
>>396>only getting like 1 post/reply every 3 minutes is really sad. I feel so alone like I'm on an abandoned side of the internet. You should get used to it. It's better to have quality and slow posting than tons of shitposts.
>>415Even before this incident, the likelihood that 4chan is artificially inflated, curated, and manipulated by staff is exceedingly high as evidenced by the organic content that appears outside of 4chan specifically. This means samefagging, posting shit/slide threads and all sorts of things that increase the board speed but without providing content, and technically incentivizing less effort in posts.. Obviously, the fragmentation of boards across multiple sites has a dampening effect on the prominence of posts, but for example you won't have 9 Linky threads at a time.
>>426As long as we can get better quality threads, it won't be as bad as we thought. But I do miss the hectic posts of /mlp still. It was funny to witness
>>430I've been searching a few alt chans for any /mlp/ type discussions and things seem kind of grim all around. That said, mlpol seem like its got some potential compared the 8 chan sites
>>436What's your issue with the 8 sites?
>>304For real. The only thing this does is make it painfully obvious that gookmoot is useless and 4chan is a zombie with his leadership in addition to increasing how much I hate *jaks and the faggots that obsess over them.
>>4388kun's /pone/ seems completely dead and 8chan moe's mlp board is more about the /zoo/ aspect
>>440Well the entirety of 8kun is dead isn't it, it's just a shell of it's former 8chan. Last time I used kun the entire website ran like shit, so nobody wanted to use it.
>>4438kun appears to have a larger /pol/ population, while moe has the larger /v/ and /b/ crowd
>>415No you don't understand! I need to spend my whole day here. But if it gets like ten posts per day what am I gonna do all day long?!
But seriously, I do hope posting picks up a bit with all the refugees, fewer posts doesn't always mean better quality. You don't have to be 4/pol/ tier while still carrying some decent discussion.
>>54The internet is healing. The lost are returning home.
>>396I think most anons just don't know or don't care that /mlp/ is gone. If I didn't learn about the sharty hack I probably would have just assumed it was the mods making a mistake again and waited for 4chan to come back. There's actually a chance the speed of the altchans might pick up once more anons realize how long 4chan will be down for.
>/v/ had almost 20 mods
lol lmao
>>653Here, NHNB, 8chab.moe, and 8kun.top.
>>663*8chan
not idea what the fuck a 8chab is
8kun is especially dead
>>415I want BOTH quality threads and shitposts. Being able to shitpost is like half the fun
>>304Shary is basically /qa/. When 4chan banned /qa/, they created external site. Kinda similar to ponychan, but infinitely more cancerous.
They tried to raid /mlp/ many times, but unlike /g/ jannies, /mlp/ jannies are actually alive, so spam was quickly deleted.
Well, that's my assuption from osmosis, I never bothered to actively learn about them.
>>396It's not too bad right now. According to some anon on NHNB, between there and here we've got about 2/3rds of poasting traffic of /mlp/. And imo traffic will pick up as people realise that this isn't just a temporary outage
>>766That's not surprising, when Soyjack tried raiding here there was only 1 or 2 more staff, but one person could thwart the entire raid.
>>777Aha, the trip 777 get
>>777>we've got about 2/3rds the trafficthat doesn't factor in dual-posters. I'd say counting overlap it's at most like 2/5ths. But it's mostly quality posts withhout general circlejerks, so that's great.
>>784It isn't a competition anon, can we please have good relations with the other refugee camps?
>>787I didn't mean it that way, I'm a dual-poster myself. Both are good for their own reasons.
>>788It's fine, I'm just a little sensitive.
One of the biggest obstacles for more posting has been an honestly disproportionate reputation versus how we 'are'. I know people get hung up on the /pol/ and nazi hors shit, or the red-board pony shit. And this is something that has slowly and gradually wore away at the board for years. If anything, the best thing we could hope to gain from all of this is better relationships with the greater chan community and while I'm not technically staff, I'm as close as you get without being (which means, I'm not obligated to gain their approval before speaking on behalf of the site :3)
I won't make a habit of this, but I have every intention of reaching out to NHNB.
>>794>I know people get hung up on the /pol/ and nazi hors shitWell, there's /pol/ and there's "nazi hors shit" here, you gotta admit that. I'm on here only because 4chan is down. I hate it when ponies are used as political mouthpieces, no matter what side does it. MLP and the real world should be strictly separated.
>>794>>799yeah I would never consider coming here if this board wasn't added, and I will never make a post on this domain outside of this board. I can 'deal' with pol posting but it only detracts from pony with no upside at all.
>>862Understandable, and no hard feelings about it. This board is the product of months+ of discussion and appeals and may never have happened outside the extremity of the circumstances. But it is here now. I can tell you why /a/ is a board, even now.:3
>>862That's fair, and also why I kinda like that this board exists now for people who just want cute ponies. Speaking of, have a cute pony.
>>853Glad you like it. I love when the animation embraces fully the cartoonish side of the series, it gives us such good reaction images.
Speaking of screenshots.
->
>>467Where Sauce ? Is that canaryprimary ?
>>929Oh yeah, that's definitely Canaryprimary. I'd recognize that ass and slobber effect anywhere.
>>862Kind of the same, I hate politics.
However, I'm kind of glad for it's presence, it's a potentially useful filter.
I also enjoy the nazi horse.
/cyb/ seems cool too.
>>868newfag refugee here
I'm honestly surprised to hear that it took this long to get a ponies-only board. I get that /mlpol/ is a funny idea, but surely people would've gotten sick of mixing the two much earlier? Either way, glad it's here now.
>>1305It hearkens back to the board's founding, but what you describe has always been an issue. Some feel that the merge between ponies and politics is what makes mlpol special, others feel that more separation is preferrable. Some like the porn, some hate the porn, and some like the porn that they like and hate the porn that others like. So naturally, people will deliberately post the porn that others don't like. Only time will tell.
So, which is the most active /mlp/ alt:
- 8chan(moe)'s /mlp/
- mlpg.co
- nhnb
- other
(/mlpol/ is not included because of potential bias)
>>2107From my own observation these are the ones I've checked on.
moe/mlp/
>Maybe split activity on most pony tamersfags and here, >slow otherwise but faster than they were before the hack. some refugees are sticking around, but not as many as here. >the board is zoo-friendly and that can put people off. >There is a small g5fag presence that was already there before the hack.moe/pone/
>Super dead years ago, there is a handful of anons using it as a bunker.nhnb
>Fairly dead outside of the sticky threads that are just /mlpg/ under a different umbrella. >The thread speed creation and thread interaction is usually lower than here.>Because the temp stickies alternate between random discussion, mareschizos, and rageposts shitflinging. >Right now it's just shitpost roleplaying in the same sticky threads. >The admin has decided to allow /opg/ and the mareschizos are pissed off about it. >Other than that /chag/ is semi-active here and there.plus4chan
>A sliver of discussion on the mlp general burried in /co/, not a lot just kind of general chat among a few anons. >There is a real tamersfag general as in the ones who followed tamers completely not just pony, so there is a lot of SU sonicfags that used the board over the years.>But not as much new activity around tamers posting. >>2107>8chan.moeDead, 8kun is even deader though that goes without saying
>mlpg.coDead
I'd suggest sticking with NHNB and here because they seem to be the most active from what I can tell.
>>3006Agreed. I've searched and found hardly anyone outside here and NHNB. Both are pretty active in a relative sense
>>3009this place feels dead as fuck
it's like ten times slower than 4chan at least
>>3010It fluctuates, I suppose. It was active here like 12 hours ago(mainly because of the sticky and tripfag thread), and active on NHNB around 5 hours ago. And by active I mean like maybe 50 posts per hour. Such is the fate of altchans
>>3010He says at 4am cst. The fuck did you expect?
>>3012Peak activity on here is roughly comparable to lowest activity on /mlp/. It's rough.
despite being a lurker for long enough to not be a newfag, I have a newfag level question, what's NHNB?
>>3015Learned about it recently too. It's No Hooves No Business, pretty much just an FiM board. There's a clop board on there but it's super dead. The sticky/"town hall" thread is what's mainly active there, the rest of the threads are occasionally sprinkled with posts, but with larger timespans in between usually.
>>396>The fact that the 4 sites that people have seeked refugee too are only getting like 1 post/reply every 3 minutes is really sad.Lmao shutup doomfag /mlp/ had like 2 posts per hour outside generals before it hit the bucket.
Go back to discord if you want to chat, this is async.
>>3012I'm a nocturnal neet, I need my engagement at dead hours the most
>>3055And last night it was the zebra thread kek
>>3010That's because it's only a chunk of posters here, not all of them. There is/was STILL people ghostposting on desu who knew enough how to use a plan b communication, but not enough plan B to know where to go for a bunker. There was some fag that mentioned the liferaft in /chag/ and they likely sent out an email to get into a bunker but thats just one general who thought ahead. The rest not so much.
The poll results in the blue vs red were only in 50s based on the refugees that post here, it was then also crossposted to nhnb because people do lurk/crosspost here from there and it went up some 10 more in a short time.
Comparing it roughly 80 here to a poll on /mlp/ that had high views like miss mlp which got into the 100s it's clear that not everyone made the journey yet, and some may stick to another bunker, preferring a deader safespace like nhnb and refusing to post more regularly here since anthro/eqg/g5 are all allowed, and the stripedtard put another dent in that.
>>3055Hate them if you want, but they're showing more dedication to have a reason for eachother to stick around in a thread, you gotta keep up some level of activity or people won't stay. So use it as a learning lesson, keep posting poners so people will stay, and look for refugees outside. I already pointed at least 3 different dead splinters I saw refugees to here like the ultradead 8kun/mlp/.
>>3010Go find and invite more posters.
>>3153There's still people who aren't aware of the new board too, unless they're just using it as a catch-all for /mlp/refugees+mlpol regulars
>>>/mlpol/384657 → >>413Yeah I wouldn't touch that site with a ten foot pole. Besides, any cockroach that's able to withstand that cesspit of ass ugly "art" wouldn't even flinch at whatever anywhere else on the internet has to spam at them, it goes far beyond pissing in an ocean of piss
>There's some fishing going on in the alts for /jdb/ refugees
Post yfw they're effectively exiled here on technicality
>12. Lolicon / Shotacon Pornography is not allowed.
Due to the TOS of the hosts of the server, this content is not allowed. Sorry.
Mfw is sign tapping guy, the sign has the link on it from archive.md.
You know the one
>>3761WTF, why actual site rules are gated behind pre-mid-April-2025 WebArchive? The actual link (
https://mlpol.net/policy ) is misleading as hell.
>>5335Hello tourist, the rules were just rewritten due to refugees
Go ask about the server hosting situation there. and lurk moar next time
>>>/qa/9386 → Alternatively go ask in the thread made for questions about mlpol from newfags like you
>>>/mlpol/174798 →>>5351I may be a newfag but I'm new enough not to post in a sticky that opens up with mods=gods lmao
>>5356What the fuck are you talking about?
The ponies aren't done being posted
