>>18720380% of the problems with Brie can be addressed with 100% of one player. Dont make me make this awkward, cuz awkward is ALL I have in my hand anymore
The quest had a pretty good momentum going for a while. Then that week before Christmas, on that Monday and especially the Tuesday after the last combat, Brie got pissy at Posey for... existing, I guess, and went on an unending diatribe. Just when I had hoped that Dark Star was posting and I could pay attention to him instead it was Posey deciding to spam the thread with endless "sneed spam." Because that's what we need. Spam. Just like the russian bot posts except 10+ posts while I'm at work rather than just one or two. Anyways, all of this drama happened while I was trying to work, and it damn near caused me to have a nervous breakdown. Basically I was put in the position of Skylar in this video. It got so bad that my parents asked me if I was okay when they saw me, as they heard me muttering "shut up" to myself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RPoDvDVmwc&pp=ygUXc2h1dCB1cCBzaHV0IHVwIHNodXQgdXA%3D [Embed] . After that I decided that I was going to play stellaris instead. But the problem with that is that Stellaris is very addictive, and when you start you can't easily stop. So the momentum was lost for those free days before Christmas, and then I was out of country for more than a week, and then work was hard last week, and basically I'm not back in the groove.
I really am unsure about quite a few decisions. Narrative, combat, how to handle things... It's easy for me to be demoralized. This is the first big quest since 2020, and the first multi person quest at all since 2022... Actually, I've had the idea since 2022... I don't know. I want things to go well, but don't always know how to do that.
So yes, I was upset when Brie's player is out of character criticizing another player for trying to actually play the game. And this is another thing. Brie loves to focus on what other players do and criticize them for it. Not in character. Sometimes it's valid and sometimes it isn't. Either way just shut the fuck up and let people play the game, Jesus. Focus on your own damn character and let Silver talk. It's not like I was going to force the whole group into combat at 10 PM anyways. What did you think would happen?
And then losing the millennial post... any time I looked at the thread and thought "maybe I should get back to it" I look at the thread, see that it's on the wrong number, and the enthusiasm just dies.
Also stop the fucking post spam. We're more than 1/10th of the way into this thread's miserable life already and nothing at all has happened. Holy hell
>>187076>it's better if you articulate why you disagree with his point than imply that it's faulty without addressing whyNo, and I'm not sorry. Sometimes an expression of emotion is really just an expression of emotion. Sometimes emotions just need to be expressed. The post just came off as rude and offensive in multiple parts. I know that because I was pissed off everything I read is going to be offensive, but with this player specifically this is a consistent issue. This player, every single night, wants to have some kind of correction "They wouldn't use American trucks" or "there should only be one cathedral in a city and not two" or "You can freeze to death at 40 degrees" (when I say that shivering was caused by mental degradation and not the cold) and this is so consistent that any time we play, I can expect that he'll post two+ hours after things have started, and there's going to be some sort of correction like that somewhere. Normally this is the kind of thing that I can just suffer but... Have you ever seen the film
Falling Down? There's a thousand things that we all suffer every day in normal life, but after we've already snapped... You just feel like pulling a submachine gun at MacDonalds when they won't serve breakfast, or shooting a rocket launcher at the obvious make-work never-ending construction site. The tone he used really did piss me off, and I wasn't going to suffer it. Am I making any sense? No? Moving on.
Also, what was I to say to the substance of what he said? He made his point rather clearly. 1. He didn't think his character did anything wrong given how things were set up (Maybe it's on me for not including his in that category of 'character's that didn't piss me off', since I don't think he really did), and second and more importantly 2. He'd rather his character suffer any failure than have any correction. Okay. Fair enough. The only question left to be asked is, do others feel that way?
>>187183>In terms of acceptability stealing ranks below killing party members. This is retarded, and I don't care if you don't understand why this is retarded.
As for stealing the crown,
1. Posey has not demonstrated that she can be trusted with a cursed crown any more than Brie can with explosives or Silver with your daughter
2. After getting the crown, Posey then wanted to refuse to negotiate any kind of agreement where it counts as a decent potion of her share... really? She just expects to get it as pure profit for herself without the rest of the party getting something in compensation? My brother in Christ, this is how you get conspired against and stolen from by the party
(You) stole the crown from
3. Posey would have no way to know how it was lost, as these things could absolutely fall out of the bag, be stolen by one of the ethereal jaunters, stolen by one of the non-ponies in the group, or any number of such sources. Anything to the contrary is just metagaming
Don't be a faggot and you won't be stolen from
>It's what my character would do!Your character is about to be pickpocketed twice in the same day
>>187204And will you shut the fuck up about how much you hate Posey. We get it. You hate Posey because reasons. You made that point 3 months ago. We understand. You've said that already. You've posted maybe already a thousand posts about how much you hate Posey. You've killed multiple threads saying it. Okay. We hear you. We've heard you. Now shut the fuck up. Jesus Christ.

>>187205>Brie got pissy at Posey for... existing, I guessFlagrantly reductive, but okay, not gonna take the bait.
>You hate PoseyPosey was one of my favorite people.i dont hate him, I dont know what the deal is honestly
This will be my last post on the matter. A bunch of months ago, I did something stupid. I do that, its usually oblivious and not malicious. But, I know me, so I own that I did something. That I'm not specifically aware of what it was MAY be a source of anon's ire. I never thought of him as an opponent until he dickrided Asuka in the discord. And since then, we have been at odds. And for what it's worth,... nevermind. I dont want to be at odds anymore
>>187207>Posey was one of my favorite people.i dont hate himYou may feel that way, but to the rest of us it really feels like you despise his guts. Hell, I've personally felt you've been trying to run him off to be frankly honest.
>>187207>Flagrantly reductiveI honestly and sincerely do
not remember what it was that allegedly set you off that day. What I absolutely remember is your reaction to it, and then Posey’s reaction to your reaction (and insisting on doing it
while I was trying to work) reducing me to such an exasperated state that it was actively harmful to my mental health, and I had to step away from the game and we
still haven’t recovered from it.
Whatever valid critiques you may have, your reactions are consistently so excessive and annoying that whatever it was you had to say is entirely lost on outside observers, who just want you to stop. Have you read any version of
Romeo and Juliet? That story isn’t about the subtle nuances of the Guelph and Gihboline conflict and the history of the feud and why we should be invested in it, it’s about how greatly the conflict has exceeded its initial causes to the degree those reasons no longer matter.
>>187208>Dickrided Asuka in the discordNeither Asuka nor discord has anything to do with my game at all. This fight reminds me of how, many years ago when I was in school, Israelis and Palestinians would get into literal fights on campus. All I could think is “why are they even in my country? Go fight each other in Israel.”
I don’t care if he fucked your boyfriend or whatever he did out of game. That has nothing to do with my game and neither I, nor but other player besides the two of you care. Go fight him on discord. Go fight him on Roll 20 or min max.net or one of those other games he’s in or go over to his house with a giant boom box for all I care, just stop interrupting my game to fight him.

Remember what Posey said to Mala about not descending into barbarism? This is what causes that.

Nobody else even said they wanted the crown. Nobody else asked to keep it. Posey has the Tiara just like Kira has her pearl necklace.

>Your character is about to be pickpocketed twice in the same dayIf he pickpockets me, so help me god I will kill him and anypony who gets in my way of killing him.
If you don't like that, you can just throw me out of the game right now, because I absolutely won't tolerate him stealing from me. I could tolerate all his other bullshit, but that is not something that I am going to compromise on. It makes me livid. I would not be able to continue playing in good faith knowing that he has stolen something from my character.
>>187210>I've personally felt you've been trying to run him off to be frankly honestI feel that way too, and tbh if it weren't for completing the quest I might've left already. Posey has the Tiara just like Kira has her pearl necklace. The party consensus was that the crown was too dangerous to be entrusted to any one pony, and that we would ensure its safe storage, study or destruction after the mission. Amidst different counterproposals Cavaliere wanted Mala to hold onto the tiara because he seems trustworthy enough. We only very reluctantly allowed Posey to have it AFTER retconning Posey putting it on, and mainly because we just wanted to get on with it.

>>187215Dude, he
has been leaving you and your character alone, both in and out of character. What has there been since Christmas? Nothing, I think, or even for the week before then. Then when he made that post you decided to empty your pockets of spaghetti, cast it upon the ground, point a finger, issue a fatwa against Brie and his player, and scream "I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" I wish I were exaggerating that last part, that's what you did.
For God's sake,
your character was never stolen from, Reread Brie's post. He's saying "I had this idea two months ago. I've decided not to go through with it because I don't care any more." He's posting about it because it
didn't happen and he's abandoned the intent to do so, and he believes that being open about this former plot will help him on his growth.
It didn't happen. If it had,
he wouldn't be openly posting about it.
As you yourself have pointed out, PvP is banned, and stealing is a type of PvP. No theft from a player can happen without my say so and I never said so. He came up with the idea and messaged me about it on Discord in November two or three days after the cursed crown fiasco happened. At that time I was seriously questioning if it was right for Posey to take the crown at all, and the incident was still fresh. He messaged me while I was in a museum in Delft in the Netherlands. The only thing I had to say was to comment on how his character did
not have maxed-out sleight of hand, when even a joke NPC character I made had max sleight, and meanwhile I went on to read about Willem of Orange's leading of the Dutch revolt in Delft, and about how the first European knock offs of Chinese porcelain were made in Delft. I never said "yeah, this happened."
Your reaction yesterday was on the scale to make Brie look like the reasonable, non-spergy one who can control his emotions and doesn't get triggered easily. Read the room. Silver - the most levelheaded and inert of the entire set of players here - posted to tell you that Brie has actually improved pretty significantly over the last few weeks, and please don't start more drama because you'll just piss off GM and stop us from playing. And there's that time that you were upset that I was out meeting with a friend and my family to eat dinner, while Posey was on hold as I was trying to get the party together, so you DMed your own solo encounter. You created a character to pickpocket Posey, and predicably, Posey lost that encounter and got pickpocketed. You expect all of us to take your hypersensitivity to your character being stolen from seriously after that? That would be like a Muslim drawing a comic of Muhammed being drawn in a comic... including actually drawing the panel of Muhammed in his own comic... Then within the universe of the comic strip Gert Wilders or Trump gets elected and all muslims get deported. Are we supposed to assume that that Muslim hates depictions of the Prophet Muhammed and will go full Charlie Hebdo on anyone who does?

>>187215>Spamming is what I would do in any other contextMaybe on 4chan, Roll20, Giants in the Playground, and the myriad discord servers you’re in, the administrators and game masters just
love seeing you spam on their respective websites and appreciate that you do that instead of alerting them and letting them handle it.
But this is my thread, my game, and my website. And here,
do not spam. You see how I constantly bitch at Brie for making innumerable small posts, and unlike you, he isn’t intentionally trying to disrupting the experience for everyone else. You are. Even the constant stream of Cyrillic bot spam at least has the defense that 1. It’s only one or two posts at a time, and 2. They are presumably trying to advertise drywall in Cornwall, or boost Google metrics, unlike what you do which is
intentionally destroy the thread. You have told the rest of us that we must respect your hypersensitivity to your character being stolen from without debate or qualification, even though the rest of us see it as either morally grey or moderately annoying, and that if your character is stolen from you
will kill every member of the party until you find the stolen item, endlessly kill the PCs of the responsible player, and or quit the game, and we must accept this. Will you please respect in kind that spamming (and wasting of the millennial gets) is one of my triggers that I absolutely despise?
If you spam again, so help me God, I will unleash such terrible vengeance upon Posey that you will reee until Judgement Day. First, a swarm of gypsies will descend upon Posey like locusts from the heavens. And they will take her saddlebag and pickpocket her. But it won’t be that simple, oh no. First, they will ask Posey to sign their petitions, then they would do the “accidental bump into,” then they would have a child annoyingly do some stupid dance as a distraction, and annoy her with all kind of nonsense. Then Posey would receive magical messengers telling her that her UPS package would not be delivered unless she inserted her credit card information. Then she’d receive a letter from her master in Magehold telling her that she’s been laid off from her position as an apprentice mage and replaced with an HB1 Visa worker from Hindia, then another letter from a court telling her that squatters have occupied whatever property she claims as hers, including both the cottage and the catacombs, and the State has given it to the squatters per adverse possession doctrine, and then another letter informing her that Gloomy has been taken by CPS, and then stilll another letter from the Revenue Service telling her she owes back taxes on all of the loot she has acquired. If she has a cart or vehicle, or hell, even Mason’s car, it will have its catalytic converter stripped by zebras and will be broken into to steal any coins or firearms. Her cottage will be burgled by addicts and any items she had their stolen (these burglars will also steal from the squatters, for what it’s worth. Then she will receive a call from Elijah Goldstein of First Zion Global Bank, telling her that she’s being charged an overdraft fee after her Nord VPN subscription fee, and her purchase from and membership in Sam’s Club, put her below zero. And no, Posey has
never had any association of any kind with Sam’s Club. After all of this is accomplished, that dreads bat pony, the one who stole from her before, will sneak up behind her and whisker in her ear “thank you for your contribution to the Bat Pony Defense League. She will then turn herself in to a nearby police officer, who will laugh and tell her that they don’t prosecute minor thefts in Baltimare anymore. Then the police officer will arrest Posey on a warrant for not paying a fee on an unleashed dog charge (her “puppies”). If after all of this, Posey choses to give up on her crusade and enter merciful oblivion, any new character would find that, to their horror, they have inherited Posey’s student loans - because not even in death do the student loans end. >>187245I mean, he's literally Dust. How valuable can dust be
>>187247In 3.5e, the price of a slave is the slave's CR squared, times 100 gp. A character with class levels has a CR equal to their level. A character with an NPC class has a CR equal to their level minus 1 (or a fraction of that, if lvl 1).
Dust's base slave/ransom value is about 3,600 gp, since he's a lvl 6 Cleric (CR 6). He could go for more, depending on the buyer who wanted something specific, if you were buying from (((neogi))) who would try to extract extra value from the buyer. He probably wouldn't sell for anything above 3600 gp on the Thayan slave market (which is similar to what they would have going on in Magehold).
A Necromancer would probably pay no more than 50-100 gp for his corpse, unless that Necromancer could cast Create Undead and benefit from his class levels, in which case they could be persuaded to pay about half his cost as a living slave, but only if the seller/body-snatcher is aware of this fact.
Assuming Dust weighs as much as a 500 pound Zebra, he's worth about 50-100 gp in meat. This is relevant if you wanted to boil a giant pot of Zebras to summon Dalmosh, in which case it would take about 100 Zebras to call him.
(It's easier if you use fell-animate Cloudkill on a village, and then command the resulting zombies to boil themselves. Dalmosh isn't a picky eater)
His organs (eyes, heart, brain, etc) could sell for maybe another 5 gp, if sold to a caster interested in using them as spell components. Humanoid body parts are worth very little 3.5e, probably to discourage players from going full cyberpunk and trying to sell the eyes of every goblin they kill.

>>187247There's value in defiance,....
And yes, I shared a number of unkind words to Silver. Givr him an inspiration point ffs
The fun/exploitablr part about taking a 20 is that youre volunteering to fail any other check for the duration of the 20 skill action.
So, in order to not ruin what he's doing with the bomb, he would have to auto-fail a dexterity check, listen checks, spot checks,....
You can't take 20 when disarming a bomb. Taking 20 assumes you failed the check several times before succeeding it.
>Taking 20 means you are trying until you get it right, and it assumes that you fail many times before succeeding. Taking 20 takes twenty times as long as making a single check would take.
It means failing up to 19 times in a row before succeeding by statistic inevitability.
>>187277Oh contraire. Taking a 20 means A. You arent in a timecrunch/battle situation and B. You're taking all the necessary time to do your absolute best work at the exclusion of all other skills and faculties for the necessary period which technically is 20 rounds, but because its a high explosive I would COMMIT 20 MINUTES
20 minutes being 200 rounds
>>187278No. You are confusing it with taking 10. Taking 20 means rolling again until you inevitably succeed, but sparing the spamrolls.
>"I keep pounding at the door until it breaks. It will give eventually."Taking 20 is basically "if at first you don't succeed, try try again".
Taking 10 means doing something carefully so you get an average roll. You do this when your modifier is high enough to succeed on a 10, but not high enough to succeed below 10.
>"I take time to disarm this deadly trap, not leaving anything to chance."Taking 10 is doing something carefully.
It's written very clearly in the SRD. Go read it. You can't take 20 on a check where the consequences of failure would kill you. Or rather, you CAN take 20, but you would just kill yourself before you succeeded.

>>187282Dont worry, I got this ^_~
Taking a 20 when you have a 10 modifier means you can take a 10 as many times as it takes to get a 20 numbnuts
>>187283Look at the source material again and site the passage for taking 20. Read it carefully.
Taking 20 assumes failing multiple times. It's clearly written as such
>>187285And if GM asks me to roll, I WILL. Rosey already ran off out of the blast range
>>187284If your modifier is 12, and you would succeed on a 22, you could take 10 without issue.
Even if your modifier were 9001, you would still blow yourself up if you took 20. Taking 20 guarantees failure the first several times.
>>187286You are misunderstanding how taking 20 works.
>>187286>disarming a bombTechnically speaking, Brie isnt disarming the bomb. He is attempting to not activate the bomb while harvesting the explosives for later use. Important distinction.
>>187288And you care too much for published rules
>>187289That still results in the bomb going off if you fail, so taking 20 would just set off the bomb.
>>187291Then apparently Brie simply hasnt blown up yet, cuz hes well committed to motion
>>187290Weren't you just taking about the "exploitable" rules in this post right here
>>187276I'm only correcting you because what you're about to do threatens to blow up the entire plane.
You're a rogue: Learn how skillchecks work.
>>187293Yes, your opinion has been noted. Yes, it is technically "according to published material" more correct.
As I have and will continue to do so, displayed that the generality of the published.material is insufficient, less than well resourced, and subject to refinement, I have faith in GM to adjudicate fairly, including if he decides that whoopsie game over for Brie. If you have any more comments about it, please forward them to GM.
And if youre GM playkng possum (doubtful), then I think this is the most reasonable way I could manage this.
After all, the torpedo was Silver's idea
Let me explain further why I am confident in GM. I have detailed pages of plans and aspirations for Brie, Lacey, other characters, for missions and game sessions. He knows I am committed to making the game fun for everyone, inasmuch as I can.
And in that the torpedo was another player's idea that I as a player was trying to make amends with, I do very much doubt he will blow Brie's face off.
And, that you want to see it happen anyway is also noted. This is my final post on the matter ^_^
I missed the related exchange, but somehow I intuit it went a little like this
https://youtube.com/shorts/y4MAtleTvJ0?si=klVYv-TQGDZh4MWV [Embed]
Attempting to phrase this as delicately as possible.
WotC published THEIR rules for DnD. Im not interested in playing THEIR DnD
And for clarification, pages of aspirations and intentions are NOT intended to validate or justify ANYTHING. GM has learned to reveal nothing and comment little.
Having said, what I mean to emphasize is that,... well gosh darn it I didnt think that going with Silver's idea (admitting taking a 20 was on me, but I'll re-emphasize my "20 minutes not 20 rounds, taking a 10 until its a high enough roll?" idea right now. K.
Point being, I am not in the habit of accidentally blowing up my characters, and I wouldnt have even bothered with the torpedo at all without concincing. Im especially not in the habit of doing so when planning years worth of aspirations that simply aren't *possible* without his survival. Sure you could say my bad, and if GM does I'll take it. But how about we stop trying to cite rules to get eachother killed maybe?
I don't believe you understand the broader balance implications of removing the limitations for taking 20 on skill checks.
>>187315You may be right, and allow me to emphasize A. It's not something I would ever have done outside of these circumstances, specitic to context both in-game and out. B. Its ABSOLUTELY not something I would entertain EVER with an explosive, appreciating the e3.5 specifics. Without intending to excuse fault, this isnt the first time that previous/later edition concepts have led me awry. Taking a 20 USED to be the skill check equivalent of a ritual cast spell, where even if you dont have a slot you can cast it. THATS what I meant when I said taking a 20, fully expecting 20 minutes from the outset, cuz you sacrifice time for finesse.
C. Im vociferously against the rule being interpreted as I have attempted to going forward and am REALLY (i mean reeeeeeealllyy) at GM's mercy on this one
>>187290But while reemphasizing this, I will make playfull illiterations about how you MIGHT say that Brie is facefirst with a giant pile of "Does GM want to ruin my day, and potentially everyone else's?", which I have been going to great (dude) lengths to ensure that even if Im not playing right now, I'm seeking that his answer to that question is "No".
So while GM may want to explode all over Brie's face, this is not the correct context.
>>187316>Without intending to excuse fault, this isnt the first time that previous/later edition concepts have led me awryRead the PHB.
Or the SRD. It's all available online.
>Taking a 20 USED to be the skill check equivalent of a ritual cast spell, where even if you dont have a slot you can cast it. THATS what I meant when I said taking a 20, fully expecting 20 minutes from the outset, cuz you sacrifice time for finesse.Where is this written? I don't see it in the 2e books.
I don't think that's how ritual casting worked in 2e either. 2e had advanced ritual casting, which is more similar to 3.5e incantations.
>C. Im vociferously against the rule being interpreted as I have attempted to going forwardThen why would you do it now, instead of just taking 10 normally?
What you are asking for is the benefits of taking 10, with a net +10 modifier.

>>187317You could also just not do it, if you found out the thing you were trying to do didn't make sense in the first place.
>>187319[I]And I am quite confident that GM will recognize this as an ILL intended consequence (unlike the time Rosey deliberatrly out the crown on) of a good faith attempt to enable other players to make their own plans and tactics, and your incessant insistance that this blow up in everyone's face could not be more apparent.
Tl;dr. I get it, it was a poor decision. I know it, he knows it, you know it. End of fucking story.
>>187316It's not set in stone, and ignorance of this rule is reason enough to retcon the action. Brie could instead take 10, or if that won't cut it past the check then he could just stop before accidentally blowing himself up.
>>187321This.
Or we could just decide that the rest of us are away from the plane while he disarms the bomb, which is what we should do anyway because we don't even know what the skill DC is yet.
>>187323>the rest are away from the bombNonononono, Brie started this well before ANYPONE was clear.
If this goes off, happy trails fren
>>187321What about "Let GM decide" is so hard to grasp?
>>187324Well, the implications of a failed check don't begin until the check is complete, and it should take at least a few minutes to make the check, so the rest of us have time to leave.
>>187326Interesting. A moment ago you were emphatic about it being a default auto fail.
Wonder what changed
>>187327Nothing changed. Those circumstances are not mutually exclusive.
>>187324Talking is a free action, and all we did was talk. We have plenty of time to leave the vehicle.
>>187328You seem awfully confident of what GM will decide. Or worried, I suppose. I have faith. ^_^
>>187321>ignorance of this rule is reason enough to retcon the actionThis
It would be like if I cast Lesser Planar Ally (takes 10 minutes to cast), but then I found out before the ally appeared that I don't actually know the spell lesser planar ally, so in that case the results of the spell wouldn't be revealed and we just wouldn't know what creature the deity sends because it didn't happen.
>>187329I didn't say that.
>>187330How badly do you want this to go off? Be honest?
Fyi, Im about to start getting creative with what things will shut you up about this, for the last tine let GM decide.
>>187332>Im about to start getting creativeWhat is that supposed to mean?
I doubt Rosey knows enough about torpedoes to know to vacate the area tbh, that looks like metafagging
>>187335Posey knows what a bomb is.
>>187336Debatable. She may be familiar with the bombs in a conceptual sense, but you'd likely have to make a case (or a knowledge check) for her knowledge of state-of-the-art military-grade weaponry
Meanwhile, Brie sometimes smuggles these, and would know inherently whether or not he could even attempt to extract the torpedo's explosives, whichnis yet another layer to my faith
>>187337Part of Posey's mission is surveying and analyzing the military capabilities of this continent to form magical countermeasures to conquer it. She knows a bomb when she sees one.
>>187338>would know inherentlyDo you have ranks in the relevant knowledge skill? If not, you would know just as much as I do. There is no reason why I should have to roll a check if you don't
>>187342>+12I dunno, does he? His background sure justifies it
>>187342>Posey's missionOooh, and I'm sure she's been at it for a super-long period of time ^_^
Unlike Brie, who would have decades of experience in and around this type of thing. Keep arguing, Ill just keep.making you look dumb
>>187345She's been preparing for this mission for literal decades, studying and making petitions to earn the privilege of being the one responsible with conquering Equestria, in addition to her prior military service on the Arcturian front.
Posey using archaic weapons like swords and bows is an ideological choice, not from lack of familiarity with modern weapons.
>>187343Disable Device is not a knowledge skill.
>His background sure justifies itSo does mine.
>>187346Good. Then we can wait for GM to decide, like Ive been saying ^_^
>>187348It's not really relevant to the earlier discussion.
Whatever.
I liked it better when you two were not talking to each other....
>>187363Sigh. Okay. Ive been trying to keep it constructive but if thats how (you) feel then I will oblige.
In exchange, I dont want to fucking hear it. If you dont think what Im doing works, tell GM and fuck off from me. Deal?
*extended hoof*
>>187391
Im kidding. As I indicated, this wasnt a request. It was a barter. ^_^
>>187398And no, thats NOT an invitation to bombard GM with "I dont agree with this". You know who Im talking to
>>187092>That is one of the few thing I know that will cheer him up. There has been a dearth of it in the game lately, and I don't think it's a coincidence. The game had one instance of sex in 2024, and only one: Silver and Jubilosa, some time around July. There was one and only one instance in 2023, Posey and August around about October. In 2022, the last instance of sex for Silver before 2024 was around March. The final instance of sex with Amber was in the January of 2022 - three years ago. Dark Star’s last instance was in 2021.
>>187446Okay. I'll make you another deal. Ill figure out how to detail Brie and Lacey sex
Are you interested? This is also a barter
>>187447By "figure out" I mean "how to do it aesthetically and artfully, but also in a way I (probably?) Am not gonna feel.embarrassed about tomorrow"
>whats with you and barter all of a sudden
Well, the RP contract isnt in effect, I'm covering my bases and efforts. My good graces arent free after all.
Ebracing Lacey's spirit, while also giving everyone a free look into what's to come
Alright. Fuck it. Flashback time, yes
>approximately 6-7 years ago
>Not sure yet. But this is live so Im going with 7 cuz its a good number
Brie is his,... benefactor's,... up and coming assistant, on a venture in Everfree.
The Night court is like menzoberranzan (iykyk) with dozens of multi-layered, very detailed hierarchies of families, and political groups,... you have to be into that to really get the nuance, which Brie isnt (Lacey is).
In any case, during a routine 'product transfer'... thats when they met. At first.
When he first SAW her was weeks before, and his mentor deliberately and expressely said "Watch out for them" discouragingly. But that was when she also first saw him. And, without any reservations she waled boldly up to him (to the chagrine of her bodyguard, cuz shes still an easily hostageable minor at this point [sppiler]foreshadowing
I was saying. She boldly and defiantly (theres a subtext with her defiance of many family rules and expectations) walked up to him, smelled him (somewhat aggressovely if Im being honest), looked (slightly knowingly) in his eyes, and walked off without a word, to the very disapproving looks of her bodyguard. Dont worry, he'll be dead soon.

Eh, yiu get what I was trying for
Lacey of the Row family is not your ordinary girl, and not just cuz her family has those funny eyes. Theres a steeped tradition going back several hundred years, if there ever is cause to go to that level of detail.
For now, rest with the knowledge that she is technically speaking, the sole and exclusive heir to a traditional family of bats who have generationally been involved in balck market shenanigen and chicanery.
Back to (flashback) present. When Brie was pfficially INTRODUCED to Lacey, that happened a few werks later, when a rivals organization decided it would be an apt business move yo try and kidnap the sole heir of the Row family.
(If you arent intuiting that this ends with a sex scene with some awkward questions about consent,... i mentioned stunning fist already)
>>187456Anyway, and yes Ill stop for now, thats when Lacey got HWR CM, while he was incapacitated, erect, inside her, and helpless
>>187459Yep. Not much to do late at night other than think. Theyre in a row, so just pretend its one big effort post
I will endeavor to condense my posts better. I can explain why I do it, but feel itnwill fall on deaf ears, so,... just gonna continue with the flashback I guess ^_~
I still havent worked ALL the details out, but basically its a lure, entrap, execute the security and abscond with the payload (Lacey) type scheme, for ransom in whatever form. And ngl, it would have worked. But that was the day that Brie and Lacey met.
At first, it was him coming to her aid, over the corpse of her (rather incompetent) bodyguard. I mean come on, you should have known what was up,...
After the alley was littered with blood and bodies (and maybe a few traces of her juices cuz GOD does she love fighting fr), then she attacked him. At first it was combat, but it gradually transitioned with an air of deliberate lewdness.
Ill spell it out in detail in a later post, but basically he tried to refuse her, she hit him with 4 co secutive stunning blows, came, and then said "See you around"
You thought I was done? Lol
The thing is, what Brie didnt know enough of body language and behavioral cues to register (he did register, but in his loins) was that that first time they locked eyes, her eyes dilated wildly. If you dont know what that means, look it up.
For him, this also created a surreal effect. Again, he wasnt co sciously aware of the ramifications, but to be an effective "scrub" for a nobody changeling teying to scrape out a meal, and to be looked at like the most delicious and enticing... I did say I digress.
Anyway, it's hard to pinpoint with any specificity what it was about him that drew her so, but she effectively 'decided' with that first glance.
Shes a little on the dommy side, but only to get him to make HER the sub.
Yes, this is the scope of the content I can provide to GM, and I have prrferred artfag commissioners.
Lets go
>>187446Perhaps 2025 will be the year everyone starts bangin'
>>187446Hey! You're forgetting the time when Posey raped Dust last year.
>>187468*Almost raped Dust. Kira pulled her off of him and snekhugged her before she could besmirch his honor.
>>187469No wonder there's no sex if you keep cockblocking us.
>>187470Maybe Posey will find more willing participants on the island
>>187471That's not the same
>cant... not... make... undead... sexslave... joke
About the repetitious posts argument,... does it matter? I mean yeah, we can argue "excessive", "undisciplined", etc, but the structure of /vx/ (and the site, but being specific) is to a degree of enormative potential capacity that "wanton posts" (to be discouraged, for sure) are irrelevant and negligable.
>its annoying
Okay, lets unpack that.
Are player SERIOUSLY about to criticize other players for being annoying? After everything?
Okay, Ill work it into my list.
I just wanna tell cool stories with my friends.
>>187474Yes.
Last night and this morning, you’ve made 13 posts, although judging by post numbers, you’ve made several more that you’ve since deleted. These posts contain between them 4730 characters, which means a post (limit of 6000 characters) could have been made with 1270 characters to spare. Your 13+ posts could have been condensed into
one post.
This number of superfluous posts frankly makes threads much harder to read. There are many occasions where in order to respond to a player, or to remember some detail, I have to back read through recent parts of the thread. Please remember that I am often doing things IRL and can’t reply constantly, at least, in a manner that is satisfactory, so I
have to back read. There are five ways to view a thread. I can look from the board view, which shows the most recent 6 posts, I can use last 50 posts, last 100 posts, and last 200. I can try to view the whole thread, but this is usually overly taxing on my phone or computer. When there are so many frankly slop posts, they clutter the thread, and make it much harder to find what I need to find. Often, I have to expand the field of view to see the posts I need to see. And this really is a frequent occurrence. I’d love to see the most recent relevant replies, but I can’t do that when the entire last six are nothing. I suspect other players have the same or similar problems.
Second, this kills threads. I like to make new threads on odd millennial posts. This is an occupied game tradition going back more than half a decade at this point. And it isn’t just an arbitrary number. Post limits exist for a reason. When a thread has too many posts, it will have difficulty loading on many devices. Threads have life expectancies. And I often like to keep the same thread around for a while, especially when I like the OP image. And I fucking hate missing the millennial post for a new thread in a way I cannot express. Mounds of meaningless wasted posts just bury through this post count and kill threads.
And further, I suspect that you probably want what you post to be read, instead of people just seeing the ID and skipping down. People would be more interested in what you have to say if you didn’t type out and immediately post every single thought that came to mind, but if you communicated only what you really wished to communicate to others, and maybe did so in fewer posts.
It reminds me of Elway doing an audit of his Fallout Equestria review, and finding that about 40% of all of the character volume was Nigel’s rants. It reduces the quality of the experience for everyone.
> Okay, lets unpack that.>Are player SERIOUSLY about to criticize other players for being annoying? After everything?>Okay, Ill work it into my list.>I just wanna tell cool stories with my friends.Yes. Absolutely. When something is annoying us, it’s hard to focus on good things. Talking about the behaviors annoy you is the first, critical step towards stopping that annoyance, and improving the quality of the experience for everyone. A game like this is not any one person’s story. It is everyone’s. And when everyone else’s stories are buried beneath small posts, it reduces the quality of the experience.

>>187476You are absolutely correct
>>187476Im not trying to be cheeky, but lately my activity across the sote has been widespread.
And lets say do limit myself, are you suggesting I wont instead get flak for writing a multi-page post than I will for a bunch of small ones? Im fine with engaging in discipline, but theres a variety of disciplines that are being neglected. Let's also not forget that I have been asking, appealing, and in some cases begging for guidance, assistance, something. And yes, you have figured out that the Sphynx approach is the most insular when dealing with me.
Are you saying I shouldn't post backstory to the OOC thread?
I'm not trying to capitalize on or get you to devote any more time to the thread than you are comfortable with.
Okay. If it isn't going to be a problem, I will condense my particularly late-night posting as much as Im able. I know I'm not unique in being tickled to talk about my character, and the inability to play for... however long kills me. I like telling stories to people assuming they're receptive to then, and if you get me going I can be so long winded that Elway's mightiest Elway-post would be like "No, stop, please, it hurts, how do I even feel pain?". And yes, I do take satifaction in lengthy diatribes and opinion posts even (usually) when no one replies. I know it's well stated,...
Until I come back and think of a better way to say it, or something I didnt include, or any of a dozen ways I could refine it.
And,... Ive lost ALOT of 'good' effort posts in my day. Thats why I have such atrocious spelling, its cuz as soon as Ive made my point I want it sent so that any number of mishaps can be avoided, neglecting to look back over it cuz one absent slip of the thumb,....
Im not making excuses, and Im not saying I won't work on it. Im just saying Im trying to keep myself occupied while waiting for the next session, or incidental involvement, or what have you.
>>187476Theres a couple things here I wanna touch on
>when something is annoying us, it is hard to focus on anythingIm acutely aware, if you recall the months pf Dbaggery I had to.gp through to get one in particular to quit.
Not trying to go back over that, just suggesting that one olayer criticizing me for lots of posts kinda doesnt hit quite the same. I'm not planning to oppose your desires/directives, but still pointing out when the pot called me black.
I am acutely aware of how posts get buries, because mine do. Again, referencing the camera which I had to wait over a month on, and sti havent gotten a simple yes or no as to whether or not Brie can have taken photos of the stilts monster and the starfish when I fell aslep while you were controlling.
Thats it, a simple yes or no.
What I am getting at is that - and I'm not being insistent with this, but am being assertive - I will be happy to fervently apply all the things over time. But, heres that barter again, I need an agreement with (you) that I'm not gonna get overlooked, ignored, or otherwise neglected as a player. I dont think anyone here appreciates their time being wasted or not valued.

Elsewhere, distant, and entirely unrelated to any meta, Lacey is pouring over documents, ledgers, notebooks, and a few maps. Her plans were just at the verge of fruition; everything was set in place with all associable fish barrels aligned.
All she needed now was that one spark, a trigger, after which. The only problem is, but couldnt be by her hoof, or anyone immediatrly involved.
Meta P.S. There are a number of times I delete posts specifically to combine and add to them
Ninjas'rules for RP posting.
Main thread:
- No double-posting, except in cases where someone posts simultanously, and I feel necessary to add, like the follow-up sentence to Silver's attempt to.get Posey to open up
- Deletions and edits only if I know I can be quick and people dont seem to be posting
OOC
- posts to be restricted to small paragraphs at minimum, and separated ideally by 30 to 60 minutes, with potential revisions especially during late night, but ending in the morning with several effort posts
Yes, my 13 posts of 5000 works could fit in one post, but theyre spread out, and the inspiration to convey an idea that Im gonna have later doesnt occurr to me when Im posting whatever thing I feel justified in posting 'now'. Guaranteed I'm gonna think of better/more ways to phrase this post before 20 minutes have passed. But yes, sometimes I start an idea at 3am and dont finish it until 10am. But if I don't mention it, I will lose the inspiration/urgency.
If any additions are requested of this list, please advise.

First off, apologies for not being around. Life comes at you fast.
I am in an awkward position. I made what is basically a Necromancer hunter without knowing the party contained a necromancer. I blame no one but myself for not actually looking at the party's composition.
However, Dust's purpose in Equestria is to find out more about supposed rumors of increased necromatic activity, with the idea being it's just Dread League coming out of seclusion/the zeebs just now hearing about this. Side goal is kill any undead and necromancers he comes across. I'm sure you can see where this becomes exceedingly awkward. I don't want to fight Posey, but I also don't want to cheapen Dust's motives or character by suddenly making him okay with this necromancer for reasons. However, this makes the game a little awkward for me currently since I'm the newcomer I don't want to ruin Posey's character. But also everyone's talking about necromancy and even if Dust didn't hear this, he'll recognize what necromancy is. I am unsure how to pursue my character properly in light of this, because he is not going to like this.
I attempted to cut a deal in
>>183669 → because of the dreads where Dust acknowledged Posey was a necromancer, but realized that if she actually had connections to this group he's been sent to investigate, she's much more valuable alive than dead (undead than dead?). However, I was shot down because she can't actually raise the dead. This is actually WORSE cause now she's lied about being a necromancer as well as being one. Now Dust is gonna be doubly ticked off at this. So unfortunately, we have to find a way to resolve this (preferably in character) but otherwise Dust is going to start flipping his shit cause undead being summoned.
Suggestions? Thoughts? Preferably ones that don't involve killing Dust and making me go with my backup character cause I don't think GM would like me for it.

>>187670Reeee that's why I said I'd prefer to resolve it in character! But I can't have Dust start autistically wailing on Posey as my first action back

>>187671If the party hasn't officially split yet, Brie would quickly and efficiently disable/disarm/pin Dust for attacking another party member. He doesnt stand for that, If you did want to attack.
Not saying I encourage it, nor that GM woukd endorse, but I doubt he would succeed at actually killing her, maybe just causing her pain.
But MY suggestion is:
Okay, Dust figured out she has some ties to necromancy. Might he not want to follow along, perhaps playing possum? She said the scroll came from a master,
.. perhaps she is a drone of a greater necromancer?
>>187669>>187671Maybe we can still work things out here. Posey genuinely can't raise the dead on her own, the only reason this is even an option is because of the scroll she has. And if Dust is worried about the scroll, this is its last use.
>>187675Also this, if she got the scroll from her master, then who is her master?

You must defeat Posey through rhyme and rap
And not just blindly eat grass, like cattle

>>187675My zigga in celestia, I was saying I DON'T want to attack her. The problem is Dust isn't the subtle type. The idea of the deal he tried to strike is "I will not kill you, but I want information from you as you can give it" with the idea that he'd have to follow her around, also giving him incentive to continue adventuring with the party. Because he has to watch this crazy ass ball of insanity to make sure she doesn't kill anyone.
>>187677Dust doesn't know about the scroll yet. Dust doesn't know any of this yet. Dust is off to the side praying and such while the party argues about weight limits. My point is the second he walks back over he's gonna have an aneurysm and I need to start damage control.
Is the rhyming really that hard to understand?
>>187681What if Silver filled Dust in on the plan after he's done his grass inspection?
>>187680I know, I get that, Im just saying if it happened it wouldnt be as bad as you think. But, heres the scenarios I can suggest from what I know of Dust:
1. Knowing she's a subprdinate necromancer, he could like I said, wait until later to.press the issue. At worst case, he would want her to expend her abilities so more vulnerable when time to confront.
2. He knows she isnt hostile and might be curious as to why she is invved in an otherwise benevolent venture
3. The traveler is a very big fish to first fry
>>187683Any time yiu have cross-purpose party members, that doesnt mean you can't set aside differences and work together. Granted, it can only be a temporary partnership when all is said and done, but those are some of the best stories; otherwise adversaries and opponents working together and developing a mutual respect even if tomorrow they are destined to be at odds once more
>>187682That might not be a bad idea. Silver could come over realizing that Dust may be less than happy about the undead aspects of the plan. He might want to bring Kira though. She may be helpful.
This grass sucks though, holy shit. Need better grass.
>>187680I understand that Dust has autism,
But I don’t think that the character is bent on a party schism
Dust has risen to a position of power in his tribe
But I don’t think they promote like Klingons or through bribe
Instead, conflicts over power and mares (Jennies?)
Are probably resolved through battle of wits and whinnies
He doesn’t need to got axe crazy on Posey
Just make damn sure she can’t get cozy
And if there’s a question on who must stay and who must leave
It’s to be decided by who best, a rhyme can weave
>>187685>>187682Is the ostensible confrontation going to occur before the party splits or after? I just wanna know if I need a handy set of plausible explanations and scenarios, or popcorn
>>187686I want to throttle you. Lovingly, but still throttle.
>>187687No clue, depends on what everyone else wants
>>187685Sounds like a good idea. Silver and Kira can comfort the zeeb.
>>187688Im just saying, Brie can offer alot of good reasons to maintain a ceasefire even without assurances from Rosey to not get spoopy with skeletons. Philosophical reason, emmint reasons, comparative reasons,... if the discussion went down before splitting I might be able to contribute to it jn real time, but appreciate if its better done after/later. To reemphasize, it would make more sense for a confrontation after the skeleton was raised
Heres a smattering of WW2 era cameras.

>>187669>I made what is basically a Necromancer hunter without knowing the party contained a necromancer. I blame no one but myself for not actually looking at the party's composition. That's actually more my fault than yours. An anti-necro Cleric is a normal character; and evil Necromancer spy is less-normal. I came into the game saying I was willing to accept the consequences of whatever friction the nature of my character caused, but I didn't actually put very much legwork into doing so.
>dreads where Dust acknowledged Posey was a necromancer, but realized that if she actually had connections to this group he's been sent to investigate, she's much more valuable alive than dead (undead than dead?). However, I was shot down because she can't actually raise the dead. This is actually WORSE cause now she's lied about being a necromancer as well as being one. Now Dust is gonna be doubly ticked off at this. So unfortunately, we have to find a way to resolve this (preferably in character) but otherwise Dust is going to start flipping his shit cause undead being summoned.Yeah, sorry about that. I should have been more considerate to your characters motivations. I was tired at the time and didn't want to deal with it. Let's work together for a solution that serves both of us.
>Suggestions? Thoughts? Preferably ones that don't involve killing Dust and making me go with my backup character cause I don't think GM would like me for it.Well, for starters, once Posey gets to lvl 6, which I believe she will be at the end of this adventure, her apprenticeship will be over and she will be set free, no longer having to serve her master. When this happens, she will potentially be open to taking you up on her deal.
Posey is a slave to the Dread League: she does not actually have any loyalty towards them. She could potentially be willing to strike a deal to share secrets to usurp them in the long run.

>>187706Unironically glad you said this. I wanted to suggest that Dust might know that servitude proxies/apprentices/drones have a restricted freewill, which might temper his response to the siuation, especially with her otherwise well-expressed instances of care and benevolence
>>187671You can do that. I wouldn't mind.
>>187680>The idea of the deal he tried to strike is "I will not kill you, but I want information from you as you can give it" with the idea that he'd have to follow her around, also giving him incentive to continue adventuring with the party. Because he has to watch this crazy ass ball of insanity to make sure she doesn't kill anyone.I would normally have to wait until I leveled up to strike that deal, but if GM is willing to waive that code of conduct I gave myself as a voluntary nerf.
Posey is away from the Dread League, which means they can't use ritual of transference to steal her XP and prevent her from leveling up to keep her enslaved forever: she anticipates that she will level up at the end of this adventure, and finally break free of the control of her masters, after which she could do anything she wants.
>>187709>You can do that. I wouldn't mindI appreciate that heads up. But also I do think other players would have had words. But next time I'll just have Dust start autistically whinnying and chasinf pony.
>>187706>an anti-necro Cleric is a normal character; and evil Necromancer spy is less-normal.Nah it's fair. I came to the game after you. Besides, Dust wasn't my only character idea and I probably would have gone with one of my other ideas had I known.
>Let's work together for a solution that serves both of us.I do appreciate your willingness to work with me.

>>187709I have a thought. How about if we do have a level up at the end of the mission, Dust can be absolutely livid about the whole necromancer thing, Posey can explain her position to him on the way back, and they can strike a deal that involves some level of Dust becoming her autism-handler and adventures with her to gain favor and more info that he can report back?

Comment. For one, I know how players can be when padding scores, and thats without being specific to this game, just saying.
Which is why when I did my skills I was very detailed, and made frequent messages to GM with updates and breakdowns.
I can still break down each of his skills, including his +12 device check.
But you didnt ask for a breakdown, you implied doubt and let that sit in the air. Fuck off, there is no doubt, and if there is, lets have it out now.
Go on, ask me. My sheet is in the old nuts discord under bats, 1st pin. Ill wait.
>>187826Reeeeeeeee! I was gonna post backstory!!!
>>187851 →>>187852 →Dude, if you're going to be rode OOC, at least keep it in the designated thread.
Everyone is fucking walking on eggshells because posters act bipolar/narcissistic and take everything personally. I know some of you have emotional sensitivity issues, but you have to try because the rest of us are just here to have fun and dealing with ooc drama is not fun.
It's just a game. Chillax.
>>187886 →>Im "special needs", meaning if I am unable to engage you when you're available I will seek to when you're not, which is part of lends toward me spamming in threads. You're a grown ass man. You are a sapient humanoid, not an animal. Learn to behave yourself. We are not the short bus staff. We are not your teachers. We are not your therapist. It is not our responsibility to babysit you or accommodate your retarded antics, especially not at the expense of the group's enjoyment or the GM's peace of mind. Saying "im special needs" (as if we didn't already know) sounds incredibly inconsiderate of the effect that you have, like we're just supposed to tolerate it because you're touched in the head.
This game is full of "special needs" autists, but that doesn't excuse being an asshole.
PBP games are inherently slow. You will get no blood from the stone by spamming and trying to engage people when they are not available. It's a fool's errand.
>I may never get over flipping out like a child when I'm upsetThen maybe you should reconsider your path going forward before you further humiliate yourself in front of everyone by flipping out over nonsense. Learn to control yourself, or don't post at all.
>So perhaps as a favor that I can return by having extra degrees of confidence that enable me not sperging in any of the threadsMaybe try not sperging at all.
Think before you post. Compress your posts. Read your posts aloud if you must. Ask yourself if it is appropriate to post what you post before posting it. Ask yourself if it's one of the posts you would immediately regret and delete before posting it.

>You're a grown-ass manIt would be more accurate to describe me as a perpetual child in the body of a grown-ass man. Again, none of this is intended to excuse, simply to explain. You know how people are all on about puberty blockers causing irrevocable damage? A similar dynamic occurs when you subject a child to horrible shit in and around age 4, a very critical time for social development. So yes, I am grown-ass, but sorry but I AM a child, to some degree.
>that doesn't excuse being an assholeBegging your pardon, but your posture suggests that there are circumstances where being an asshole is justified. I don't consider instances of righteous and agreeable indignance as being "an asshole", I would describe an asshole as someone being deliberately adversarial.

Let's talk walking red-flags.
First, you bave Bre Achtungsechsig. He's literally designed to be a problem. Ill mannered, irreverent, somehow unkilled by the dice though I've tempted them on several occasions, he gives 0 fucks and has no reservations telling you. Not an actual threat, unkless you do something stupid like try to force a charm spell on him the moment you meet him, then you're on "the list".
Adeline Adolphine De Fatima Korragar Preston al Thez. Her Fucking HAIR is her red flag. Even less fucks than Brie, more guns and explosives, and about to shoot you probably. We won't get into her, she's just my met excuse to get these characters out of this world if things go south.
But then there's the pony of the goddamn apocalypse. You know, the one who is flippantly dismissive of anything other characters or even GM are doing, acts like they should be catered to because they are there and have a precious fucking schedule that should be catered to.

The point was that it upset you, and for the sake of harmony, we should drop it. Well, I feel the same way about you bitching at me both on board and in discord. To you, sure, it's just fun or justified or just normal or whatever. To me
it's demoralizing as all fuck when you do it literally every time I try to play the game.

>>188028 →I don't remember a single specific bit of feedback on an in game situation since the start of the quest about something that happened in the quest, positive or negative. You will bitch out of character every time I reply or don't reply about how I am on line when I shouldn't be or should be on line when I'm not, or about how I did reply to a skill check or did not respond to a skill check, but I can't remember you saying very much at all about what is happening in the quest. I don't know if that's because you genuinely aren't interested or engaged or have anything to say, or if it's because when you do talk about it, it's drowned out by you yelling at me every. single. time. we play, whether you play or don't, whether i respond to your posts or not. And that's my point. The point is that there are too many angry posts directed at me and it's a very serious issue.
Within the past 7 days you told me to go fuck myself on the board, you messaged me angrily about not pinging you because I made a reply, and you messaged me telling me to "stop sucking Posey's cock." In 7 days. With one day of play.
I am asking you - no, begging you.
Pleading with you - to stop messaging or posting on the board about how angry you are at me for every single tiny thing I do or do not do. It's demoralizing. It makes me want to quit.
I made a post for Brie a week ago.
>>187833 →. In it, I detailed that Brie's skill check succeeded. A couple posts before that, I detailed specifics about the kind of explosive and its properties. Changing the topic...
What do other players want to spend their reward money on?
For me, it depends on what level we are at when we end the adventure, but I'm considering some +1 Grotesque Fearsome barding. Maybe some necromancy scrolls if I don't level up enough to cast those spells myself. A Night caller, a Ring Of Desecration or a Rod Of Undead Mastery could be nifty. I also want to set aside some gold for a Founding Legacy Ritual, to further enhance the Tiara after I analyze it for its powers.
Oh, land is an option. I intend to buy up Curwhinny's farm, if I can convince Mr. Glass that the "endemic curse" is a bigger liability than the land is worth. Not sure how much that would cost, but once I have a secure underground facility I could do some fun things, like create monsters and store them underground.
>>188077Kira doesn't really have any plans for the money, she's a new arrival from a society that used a barter system and she still doesn't fully understand how much Bits are actually worth; instead of arriving to Baltimare with currency already in her bags, she arrived with a collection of hoof-made jewelry of gold and jade, foreign coins, and other valuables given to her to trade for local currency, AKA Bits. She'll probably just hold onto it until she finds something to spend it on as right now it's the reputation from completing the quest that's more important to her.
Silver, meanwhile, has a number of things to spend it on. The house needs an expansion so he has enough bedrooms for all of the NPCs he's collected, he needs to fund the expedition he's gonna go on with Pear Faucet to look for the Tree of Life, if things go well with this quest and he ends up with the Kostroma and the commie ponies he needs to ensure all of them are taken care of, and finally if there's enough left over he wants to buy a workshop to turn into a smithy, both for passive income to support his household and also so all the characters can get some powerful hoof-made gear in addition to the loot we get on our adventures.
>>188075Yes, I get it. You want Posey to talk to you. You hope that by acting up, you can put pressure on him to do it. I sort of understand it
But it isn't going to work. If anything, you're just pushing him away by acting belligerant constantly. He'd be more likely to like you if you acted normal.
And more importantly - this isn't the place for your personal drama. Your belligerence is hurting
everyone, including you. Keep the drama between you two somewhere else.
>>188079Are you sure you want to invite this discussion now? I think it would be better suited to all after a few days but

I've mentioned the idea before, but I still wonder what everyone thinks of it: mithril and adamantium - especially with regards to D&D - are the fantasy terms for titanium and tungsten, respectively.
>>188081I always saw mythril as titanium, and adamantine as uranium, but idk
Tungsten, cobalt, and a bunch of other finer metals seem to land more in the masterwork material. But Adamanitite is supposed to be second to none for hardness. Idk where that compares to diamond, but as metals go Id say thats uranium
>>188083Apparently, raw tungsten is brittle and hard to work with, but when purified it rates at a 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale which is stronger than steel, while being malleable enough to be easy to work. Google's AI overview thing says it can rate anywhere from 7.5-9 on the scale, but I don't know if it's lying. Diamond is 10 on the scale, but apparently it's possible to get materials that are even higher than 10 through very specific circumstances, like from meteor impacts.
>>188081Adamantine is not heavier than steel. It weighs the same as steel, but is as hard as diamond.
Also, I resent comparing mythic fictional metals to mundane real metals.
>>188085I disagree. Forgotton Realms as one example establishes adamantine as being exceedingly dense by volume
