/mlpol/ was created when the mods on 4chan merged /mlp/ and /pol/ into one board as an April fool's joke in 2017. The mods were hoping that /mlp/ and /pol/ would fight and piss each other off, but instead everyone got along. The resulting board, /mlpol/, had less cancer, less reddit, and less shills than the two previous boards. Many anons asked for the board to be kept, but the mods got rid of it anyways because 4chan mods are faggots. So some anons created this site and the community still lives to this day.
As to why this site isn't pozzed there are three major reasons. First and foremost our moderation is part of the community and they don't want to replace the userbase. Another reason is horse porn serves the same function as shock images on old /b/; it keeps normies the fuck out. Finally the userbase of /mlpol/ is capable of ignoring what they don't like. There are anons that come here for politics, there are anons that come here for ponies, and there are anons that come for both. This ability to ignore what we don't like means shills and trolls will get less (you)s.

i'm from /pol/

I'm busy most of the day but am a developer. I was thinking put this in a SQL database (postgres) and possible make usable over Django or something. I could put it in a git repo you could run local too if you want. everything is checksummed I can start off a safe repo if people are worried about running.

Does anyone have the ajacency matrix data of the force-layout diagram? Does anyone want me to help build some tooling for usage? Am open to ideas I just want to help. I know lots of fullstack shit.

I want to start archiving shit before it gets nuked. git is the best because you can see each commit. we could source control the sql data too. one concern would be how to make sure the growing database contains good data and isn't poisoned. also open to sharing it with feds as much as i have mixed feelings about them

Yeah it's really policy issues and disagreements on some of those things. Take education for example, I think if we could give people college and/or vocational job training that would be great. My issue is that we need to reform higher education to control costs and make apprenticeships more of a thing. People going to college for engineering don't need to take classes on history or social sciences. Also a lot of people go to college for jobs they could actually just go apprentice for to learn how to do. For example, in a few states instead of going to law school people can just be a clerk for a few years and take the bar exam. As long as you learn certain concepts and how to research case law that's really all you need.
