kiwifarms null is live now, could be interesting
https://rumble.com/c/madattheinternet/liveOh I see, niggers wanna pretend we don't fucking exist, with an average of ~1.6k posts/day, etc
>>384750Remilia collective is the definition of using schizobabble to sound smart. Same rhetoric as Curtis Yarvin, who is the philosophy court Jester of Peter Thiel (CIA glownigger). Curtis also allegedly poisoned his wife so he could fuck a tranny.
Any chance 4chan's coming back soon? I miss it a lot.
>>384888They are going to have to make a lot of changes. Their source code was leaked and had several vulnerabilities. Jannies are also leaving left and right. This might be it.
>>384888It will be at least two more weeks.
>>384702does this mean there's still an imposter on the 4chan team?
after all why would this email get leaked
>>384899Hope its not longer then that.
from the KF 4chan thread:
Searched the thread to see if this has been mentioned. But Graf, admin of Poa.st has considered buying 4chan from hiroshimoot. Going as far as to email him a 1 million dollar offer. (Which is surprising considering the occasional funding issues he has)
Besides this he seems to intend to federate it via ActivityPub. I'm not entirely certain about how scalable the protocol is, but for the volume it seems insane. Much like attempting to buy it in the first place.
edit: adding additional images
>>385041So would this be good or bad?
>>385048depends on your opinion about chud side of the FEDiverse
>>385041>poa.stIs that glowie? It sounds glowie, I'm bad at keeping track of which meme projects are feds and which are alright.
Federated chan sounds very neat to my /g/ autist ears (I'm hanging out on bitchan right now for example in hopes of finding some other similarly autistic refugees) but it also means 4chan will simply not be the same again. It sounds like he's just doing his own project, and wants to buy the 4chan domain for the heck of it, but not actually to revive 4chan as we know it.
>I would start with only a few boardsWe'd have to expect completely different tech, completely different layout, completely different board set and most of all completely different rules. /mlp/ will almost certainly not be one of the starting boards, and there might never be one later, who knows. GR15 would likely not exist anymore, for better or for worse. Who knows what the fuck they're cooking up.
So federated chan sounds autistically pleasing but destroying everything 4chan is and building something completely different in its place definitely does not please my autism in any way.

>>385061>the fuck is that protocol? never head of iteons ago, GNU decided to make a free software clone of Twitter
to make it better than twitter, they made a protocol (OStatus) that allowed different notTwitters to shitpost with one another
later OStatus got replaced with ActivityPub
you might've heard of its popular implementation called "Mastodon"
>>385059>Is that glowie? It sounds glowie, I'm bad at keeping track of which meme projects are feds and which are alright.not really glowie, just utterly fucking retarded
>>385063Retarded in an autistic way or in a bad way?
Basically is it the same ilk as gab for example?
>>385065>Retarded in an autistic way or in a bad way? Both
>Basically is it the same ilk as gab for example?Gab is worse for /g/entoomen and other reasons
>>385041I hope this doesn't happen, I just want the retarded admins to update their security software and bring 4chan back, 4chan going is one thing, it coming back in an unrecognizable form would be even worse
the /mlp/ containment board helped to keep the fandom alive if you ask me, I don't want to merge back with /co/
>>385041am I supposed to know this literally who?
how likely is it that they actually offered a million for 4chan of all places?
https://github.com/AlexDev404/4chan-main/blob/main/LICENSE.md>WTFPL>desuwa committed 2 days agothey're actually going to ask /g/ for help kek
>>385145>the /mlp/ containment board helped to keep the fandom alive if you ask me, I don't want to merge back with /co/IMO GR15 should change to
>dedicated threads about MLP are only allowed on /mlp/getting banned for reaction images is retarded
>>385145unlikely, their shitty instance always cries about lack of funds
>>385048Bad. As much as we shat on the jannies before, anybody that comes in and acquires 4chan is 100% not going to be okay with people calling others, nigger, faggot, tranny, etc.
>>384240>Most IPs are dynamic, but if your IP address is static, you can usually just unplug your modem or router overnight to get a new one.Shitty grammar or does he really not understand how DHCP works?
Hot take here but I kinda like this site better. There's no captcha or timer to start posting, you can post webms with sound and it doesn't block you from using a VPN. Also the nature of it being a splinter puts one more layer of barrier to entry to normalfags and low effort posters who wouldn't necessarily know about it even if they knew about 4chan. If this place just had a slightly more active poster base I would probably just stay here forever
>>385226Lack of knowledge I suspect. Most ISPs have a minimum three day lease for assigned IPs. That being said I got a new router the other week, popped it in expecting to get a new WAN address but no, still the same static address I've had for a few years. So either I'm on a watchlist, or I just lucked out with getting a static address.
>>385229It's a comfy place. Ponuts, politics and casual racism.
>>385238https://opnsense.org/https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tuofudun-Firewall-Appliance-N100-Upgraded/dp/B0D89F9C68>wireguarded to mullvad, 22 minute IP cyclesIf GCHQ want my ponut collection, they'll have to either ask nicely or bust down my door.
>>385234I'm probably going to mangle my terms since it's been a while since I did it, but with my ISP, I need to log into my router's control panel so that I can release my lease. Reconnecting causes the ISP to issue the same ip address again but with a shorter lease. I do that a few times and eventually the lease drops down to an hour. After that if I shut everything down and wait for the lease to expire, I will be assigned a new ip if I connect a different router at that time.
>>385244Damn Anon, who are you running from?
>>385234>>385244I've had fiber internet for years and my IP has not changed once, which basically made 4chan unusable since they track bans on IPs and eventually just ban you forever even if it's just from accumulating minor bans over a long period
I have no idea how I'm supposed to get a new address besides waiting for google fiber and switching to that instead because it's better than what I have anyway
jannies tongue my anus
what's the go to alternative for /t/? was in the middle of dumping stuff when the site went down
>>385229I need anime and video game discussion, pony alone is not enough for me.
>>385197I absolutely would be but I am a poor fag who can only fantasize about that.
>>385229FYI you can just use an AI browser extension to auto-complete captchas for you
if you're a phonefag you deserve to type captchas
>>385481Check the archives if you haven't yet. There might be ghost posts directing people to a bunker
>>385511The captcha is the least of my concerns, it's the 15 minute timer before posting and no VPN that really sucks, especially now that I know how lax the cybersecurity is on that site. Also is there really any reason that we can't have sound on all boards? If the whole file fits into the 6mb limit then I don't see the problem. Having to have a dedicated thread in /wsg/ just to link webms in cross board posts is simply asinine
>>385483True, I looked over the boards for some of the other splinters that I visit every once in a blue moon. Pretty much all of them have boards that fit the topics but nothing like true /a/ and /v/ and all of their derivatives. I do wonder what everyone on /vg/ is doing right now
>>384633it's like watching your father and mother pass away /mlp/ and /pol/. things have been declining for years but to see it happen so suddenly is painful. but /mlpol/ lives on, we will be ok.
>>385050I like the idea of the Fediverse, I don't trust the people involved in it though.
>>385618Dear God, what would become of the /mlpol/-tan comic now
>>384763>no home for vidya and anime fagsthis. I'm happy mlp has made so many dedicated websites for mlp, mlpol and even equestria daily, fimfiction, and more. but what do you do if your favorite vidya general is gone? discord? where will these refugees go?
>>384763I've just been using 8chan for vidya but it doesn't really feel the same
>>385229while this place is great and NHNB is fine, there really feels like there's no traffic here, sure /mlp/ was slow, but when I went to bed and woke up there was a noticeable amount of posts, here and NHNB there's barely any
>>385637Because 4chan was artificial. Thats not to say there werent genuine anons and genuine anon-posts, but when you DON'T have an adversarial mod/jannie base, this is what you actually get, more or less.
>>385639Nah this place doesn't get traffic because only old fags know this place even exists.
And that's a good thing. I assume if 4chan is down for a long enough period most anons with wonder to 8chan, if 4chan isn't back up by the end of the month. This place will still be under the radar for most anons.
>>385640Maybe you're right. Maybe this is the best-case scenario, all considered
>>385640No, because then all of the old fags will leave for 8chan, because that’s where the posts are. Send everyone you can here
