/MLPOL/ Watch Party Part 4: We Endure/MLPOL/ Watch Party Part 4: We Endure
The horrors persist, but so do we.
Welcome, newfags and oldfags. This is a thread about a weekly get-together some of us like to do on Fridays.
Account registration is not required.
Starting at around 7:00pm EST (8:00pm Central Time), and continuing until the end of the night.
Cytube is the current site hosting the Watch Parties, and the normal room is
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl . This may be subject to change, so double check the announcement post in the thread.
These nights consist of going to a website with a video player and a chatroom and having a good time. The format we're using lately starts with the first hour being a series of pony animations and music. This is followed with a couple episodes of a show, then we switch over to a livestream portion for a brief intermission, followed by a series of classic shorts, followed by a movie, followed by two episodes of another show, followed by MLP episodes, then the room is usually pretty open to whatever.
The mood of the nights is “Good Vibes”, and we tend to like more classic content compared to a lot of what's on offer these days.
Feel free to swing by at some point after people filter in.

Also,... i can leak something inprogress for cupcakes :3
>>380479There are four "full" videos to watch, with lengths from 22m to about an hour for the most recent movie.
I'm not sure what we'll be able to get through, but I think Tamers12345 usually has some kind of canon event. I'll put two of them in, and we'll see where we go from there.
Going directly from Tamers to Drawn Together might be a bit too much of that wacky stuff in a row to feel fresh. We'll tweak it as we go.
>>380480Ooh, Cupcakes? Something to do with the Cupcakes thread?
>>380481I sent it to Stix, if you can discretely reach him
The new playlist will be just a little bit longer. I've swapped to music from an earlier month, so the playlist playing right now will be something you haven't heard in this room in a while.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Tonight: Tamers12345!
With Vanhoover stealing away some of our number, we're going to be spending more time in the CyTube room!
It's come to my attention that Tamers12345 has continued releasting a bewildering amount of animated content over the last while. Let's see how many we can get through by getting two of them in the night.
Balancing out the tone is going to be some history videos. I also might open up the room for a potluck. Time will tell!
We've got an hour of music, PMVs, and other animations. Two songs are related to Tamers, from Thrack and MelodyBrony.
Regarding the Drawn Togethe episode summaries... we've clearly got another week of episodes that don't match. Maybe next time I'll double check the episodes so I get the right one.

If we're interested in watching more Bob Hope movies, some of his best ones were the two Paleface movies, The Princess and the Pirate, Casanova's Big Night, and Fancy Pants (all set at various points in history). The Ghost Breakers is also one that's a spooky movie.
Movie schedule will be up momentarily, haven't heard anything from Flappy yet.
Here is tonight's program:
Merrie Melodies: The Dover Boys
I, Claudius - Ep 3, What Shall We Do About Claudius
Tropic Thunder (2008)
The best fake action movie ever made.
Myba Libbla Poneibe:
G4: s2e11 - Hearth's Warming Eve
G1.5: The Impractical Joker, The Great Lemonade Stand Wars
Cowobob Bebamabob:
Session 9: Jamming with Edward
Session 10: Ganymede Elegy
Since we're not sure where Flappy is atm, I will probably just wait another 30 min or so from the timestamp of this post, and if there's still no sign of him I will open the nicecrew room for early hangout/shitposting. Movies will start approximately 1 hour from that point.
If Flappy shows up, we will begin at our normal time following his prestream show.
>>380743Sorry for the tardiness. I'll pop some Red Green in the room and unlock the playlist.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylDrawn Together might have to wait a bit.
I should add that Jonah Hex animation into the next stream
So far tonight, I've put on a previous night's playlist. I'll work out whether to put in one of the Elements Of Justice series' or one of the other series' we discussed.
The room's active and running, but playlist contents may change.

The end of the first month is here! It can be nice when events fall on important days, even if the reason that day is important isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. I say, if something isn't important for outside reasons, then we can make it important ourselves!
That said, let's walk through what we have in store for the night.
I've put a bunch of music and PMVs in from a channel by the name “elameaa”. They seem to have been pretty productive over the last year and a bit, so let's give that content a looksie.
Interspersed between the music are a number of comedy skits from Chris and Jack, some animations from Mashed featuring Mario characters, and an eleven minute Nigel and Marmalade animation titled "Nigel and Marmalade: Rat City".
For the new show, I'm going to float out the idea of doing a Farscape episode every once in a while. It's a high production value sci-fi show that doesn't feel like anything else in the space, and it was produced by the Jim Henson company, who was behind The Muppets. We'll start with Episode 1. With Sci-Fi shows, it can sometimes take up to a season for it to find it's footing. I haven't done a full rewatch of this in a long time, so let's see how things go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FarScape EpisodesSeason 1 Episode 01 -
PilotIn the epic adventure of The Jim Henson Company’s Farscape, Astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder) assumes he'll be home in time for dinner, but a freak accident during an experimental space mission catapults him across a thousand galaxies to an alien battlefield. Suddenly, he's trapped among alien creatures wielding deadly technology - a battle that 20th century sci-fi pop culture never prepared him for. Hunted by a merciless military race, Crichton begins his quest for home from a galaxy far, far away. Created by Rockne S. O'Bannon. Starring Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Anthony Simcoe, Lani John Tupu, Jonathan Hardy, Gigi Edgley, Wayne Pygram, Virginia Hey, Paul Goddard.Season 1, episode 1. An interstellar mission to test his theory goes awry, and John Crichton finds himself stranded in unfamiliar territory after being sucked through a wormhole. Once his space craft gets pulled aboard a high-tech, massive ship, he joins the Moya crew, if a little unwillingly in the series premier of Farscape.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With Space being the theme of the day, let's use that for our pony imagery!
Sorry everyone, I've been having trouble sleeping the last few days, then today I just zonked out for like 16 hours and slept through movie night. We will resume our normal schedule next week.
I've got the playlist up and ready to go, just getting the writeup and Farscape episodes in now.
>>380961It all worked out. I'm glad you got your shuteye, it sounds like you needed it.
>>381189Thanks Flappy.
Also, everyone, we are back to our normal schedule for tonight. Movie program will be up shortly.
Music, shorts, PMVs, and a little variety on the side is how we're doing things this week.
On the music side, I've grabbed a few works from Seaclipse and SYLVVER, We have a stop motion animation from Crossline Animator (I'll put more of their stop-motion animations in in a future week), and a skit where al jokes interviews himself. Also, a short video walking through how we can use actual PDFs, Portable Document Format files to run Doom. It really can run on almost anything.
We ended up watching two episodes of Farscape last week instead of just the one, so we're on Episode 3 this week. Farscape is going to last 5 seasons, so I might space things out, depending on how things go. I know that if we watch Babylon 5 somehow, that I'd love to pair that with Duck Dodgers.
I, E.T.Season 1, episode 2. The crew learns that Peacekeepers have installed a Paddac beacon on Moya, and it needs to come off. In a hasty landing attempt, she ends up sinking into a swamp. Exodus From GenesisSeason 1, episode 3. Moya is getting hot and Aeryn is struggling to handle it. The pony of the week will be... Flutterdeer, since that's apparently a thing.
Hearts and Hooves day is here! I mean, precisely. We're not a few days late, we're exactly on time! Ain't that nifty?
For the variety hour, I gathered many animations, theory videos, and songs. Most of them are themed around either Cadance or Chrysalis, or Hearts and Hooves ideas in general. Aside from those, the two-part “Insults are magic” series by Toshimatsu is also in the list, accounting for almost twenty minutes of time. One lore theory video is about Cadance's Backstory.
Following this, we will be continuing with the fourth episode of Farscape.
FarscapeSeason 1 Episode 4 -
Throne For aSeason 1, episode 4. A group of Tavleks boards Moya and takes Rygel, dropping a powerful gauntlet in the middle of the scuffle. After figuring out that it injects stimulants into the wearer and is equally as dangerous to them as it is to their foes, the crew passes it around as a strategy to save him in season 1, episode 4 of Farscape; "Throne For a Loss" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With it being the day, the Pony Theme of The Week will be Hearts and Hooves, to absolutely no-one's surprise!
Are ya feelin' a bit blue? Well, you'll be happy to see a continuation of one of the previous Luna themed stream nights.
This week we've got a number of clip compilations of Luna doing stuff in the show, some Luna lore discussion , and a hoof-ful of animations. WhiteHawke's “Luna's General Work Day”, a three and a half minute animation from thirteen years ago with eleven million views is here. A copy of Children of the Night with on-screen lyrics on the AureaiArt channel from eleven years ago with four point six million views, and then of course the classic Lullaby for a Princess Animation from WarpOut from nine years ago with a whopping
sixty-one million views.
As far as pace breakers, there are shorter clips of Luna doing stuff, as well as three parts of a “Gandalf vs Saruman” wizard insult fight, each lasting about a minute.
Then, we've got our regular episode of Farscape. The crew comes across a ship that's disintegrating and accepts refugees. John has a feeling that something isn't quite right.
What a strange and unexpected conflict that definitely only exists in the world of fiction, isn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FarscapeSeason 1 Episode 5 -
Back and Back and Back to the FutureAfter witnessing a disintegrating ship and receiving a transmission for help, D'Argo calls for the survivors to be pulled on board. The refugees appear to be two Ilanics, blood allies to the Luxans, and D'Argo takes it upon himself to make sure they receive the utmost in terms of hospitality; but John keeps sensing that something is wrong in season 1, episode 5 of Farscape: "Back and Back and Back to the Future"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week, there are no prizes for guessing who Pony of The Week is. It's Luna!

Progress requires some tinkering. I ran out of playlist slots, so I'm working on some kind of weird system of two browsers with different extensions and two different sets of playlists. There are a lot of kinks to work out.
Tonight's playlist has lots of animations and PMVs in it as I was building up a new subscription list on the new account. Not as many songs as a normal night.
A variety of animators are in this list, from Crash, to ACLP Films, ForgaLorga, Halo12, Makaryo, Tridashie, and more.
One of the highlights of the week is the new 35 minute Tamers animation, “My Little Pony Coco Pommel Has Her Heart Stolen”. This will be followed by our weekly Farscape episode.

FarscapeSeason 1 Episode 6 -
Thank God It's Friday AgainThe crew visits a planet full of happy workers. Soon D'Argo and Zhaan start working and refuse to return to the ship. It was excellent, from what can be recalled
There's a lot involved in living a full life. Some of it involves reading as learning, not just consuming YouTube videos. Slacking on this to some degree is very normal, but a bit of reading to shake off the cobwebs can't be a bad thing.

The Pony Theme of the Week is “Books”.
Contents of the stream night this week include music from a variety of sources, including several from Seaclipse. At least two character focused music videos from Magicked and Algo at All are in the list, with some works by Crossline Animator including a stop-motion animation.
I've rounded out the night with one design for a “sand battery air heater” that seems like a surprisingly fun way to draw useful heat out of a few tea light candles for comfort.
The open for the night will be an episode of the Red Green show as people wander in, and we'll wrap up with an episode of Farscape.

I decided to temporarily cut the G1.5 episodes tonight since GFII is a long-ass movie. We will resume them next week. Also, we only have a few more episodes to go, so we need to decide which Horse we would like to watch next. I am currently thinking either G3 or G5, if anyone has a preference please let me know. If I get no responses I will just pick.

Hey frens, this came to mind after video surfing: geothermal system.
Take some thicc underground waterline tubes and chuck it in a pit. How much tubing and the size of the pit depends on the area needed to be cooled/heated. The main bits is a radiator plus the underground tubing and a fan and on/off temperature stuff.
Hey frens, this came to mind: geothermal system.
Take some thicc underground waterline tubes and chuck it in a pit. How much tubing and the size of the pit depends on the area needed to be cooled/heated. The main bits is a radiator plus the underground tubing and a fan and on/off temperature stuff.
While radiator liquid can charge and arm and a leg, it's possible to use windshield wiper fluid.
Most of this just depends on the size and cost.
Down side, getting the underground tube out of the ground if something goes wrong is hard. Much more difficult than installing it.
Colder the area generally is the deeper one has to dig to get to the warmer ground temperature.
>>382184Is there some reason you felt compelled to post this in the movie night thread?
>>382189Yes, due to the conversations that occurred.
>>382184There's also PCMs that can be useful to store heat.
Basically a mix of two or more salts in water give different phase changes which store more heat than normal stuffs.
High temperature phase change materiel can't go above a certain temperature, but lasts for long periods of time.
Low temperature PCM can be cold at a specific temperature for long periods of time without much change.
>>382184Thanks for the follow-up, friend.
Geothermal sounds like it might be better used for cooling in the summer rather than heating in the winter. I've heard that it's expensive to run and does a less good job of heating homes in the UK in places where it seems to be mandated.
There are a lot of ways to do things, and it's sometimes not clear what the best options are. So many variables exist that blanket solutions are hard to suggest. It's easy to get stuck in the allure of newer technology and ideas that might be fantastically useful in some situations but untenable in other situations.
I admit that I don't know a lot about the relative costs, effectiveness, and reliability of geothermal as opposed to other methods.
This is the fourteenth day of the third month... That sounds like it's time for a pie-related celebration!
Have a happy Pi day! Or Pie. Whichever you prefer.
This celebration of delectable delicacies will bring with it a dash of sweet creativity and experimentation, as the best bakeries benefit from. A conversation with a little birdie the other night turned me on to a new tool to turn today's two cents' worth of topics to a totally terrific experiment! The tool isn't new, but it IS new to me.
Try testing that first thumbnail in the post to hear an AI voiced reading of this writing. Experimentation is a great way to keep creativity and energy.
With that experimentation and theming firmly established, I'm happy to stick to a normal night of mostly music with a few short videos. Most of this is Pony related content, but I've got some other items. Non-pony content includes two classic songs from Filthy Frank, two unrelated short videos, and a “Straight White Male” song. This will be followed by our next episode of Farscape.
Most of the pony music tonight is coming from Nicolas Dominique and NeverLastStanding. I've added a four minute video from blob compiling some funny AI ponies moments, and a recent video from Magpiepony's channel talking about the possibility of G4 coming back with more content.
That means that you should use this as a reminder to double check that you've got an offline copy of all the Fanwork archives you want to keep. I think that there will be domineering rounds of purges to clear the cultural space for the corporate overlords' content.The Farscape episode has our crew searching for supplies. Remember, they're a crew of escaped prisoners on an unarmed ship barely scraping out survival while being actively hunted. This is like Cowboy Bebop in that the main characters live a life that, frankly, sucks. “Your life sucks, and you're in
very weird and unfamiliar territory.” I do not envy the characters, but damn if it isn't fantastically imaginative to watch.

Our music for the evening will consist of a handful of artists. Mostly BGM, then Evershade, then several artists with just one song.
Non-music Videos include an analysis video of why Rainbow Dash and Daring Do look so similar, a compilation of ponies impersonating each other for five minutes, and a couple of comic dubs from Scribbler Productions.
Non-pony videos include a minor update on the Culture War in the Gaming industry, one RPG related skit , and another video torturing you with fucking weird lines from some kind of anime / hentai dub.

The last Watch Party of the month is here, and we've been keeping things going solidly.
While poking around on the Deleted Pony Songs channel, I found a whole playlist of songs from Crystal Slave. So, I decided that those songs would form the core of this week's Watch Party theme, with other playlist items having some moderate theming around “Crystal Empire”.
The highlight of the week is going to be SillyFillyStudios' “Fall of the Crystal Empire”, in case it's been a while since you've seen that. I've also added a PMV from Magpiepony about Princess Cadence's Backstory.

See you soon, we're ready and running:

Alrighty, so a few things tonight before I post the schedule. First and foremost, tonight is the finale of Cowboy Bebop, and in celebration we will also be showing the movie. If you are invested in Cowboy Bebop, you will want to attend the movie portion tonight, because this will be your last chance to bebop any cowboys on this stream for quite some time. Next week we will be starting a new anime. Most likely it will be Trigun, but I reserve the right to pull a last-minute switcheroo should the mood strike me.
Second, as of tonight we are officially out of episodes of My Little Pony Tales and G1 in general. Next week, we will be showing a different gen, either G3 or G5. If you have any preference as to which one I ought to show, please let me know. I will also post a poll during the prestream so people can vote if they like. If nobody has an opinion, I will pick (I am currently leaning towards G%).
Third, this week's theme has raised the question of crystal ponies. Specifically: do crystal ponies have crystal genitals, and if so, do said genitals have hard edges? This seems like kind of an important question.
Lastly, here is this week's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Tortoise Wins by a Hare
I, Claudius: Ep 11 - A God in Colchester
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001)
Poni:
S2e19: Putting Your Hoof Down
G1.5: Ponies in Paradise, Who's Responsible?
Cowboi Bebop:

Session 26: The Real Folk Blues, Part 2
Thank y'all for hosting
But for fucks sake, how are you gonna make people sit through an hour of fucking I claudius? Jesus christ, it's like you're TRYING to discourage participation. I Claudius is for pseudo drama-fags who want a non-prescription alternative to ambien. It should - if at all - be played at the end of the stream when people are already falling asleep, as opposed to incentivizing sleep at the beginning.
Its trash
>>382439You're the only one who's complained so far.
>>382439>I Claudius>Its trashI disagree, it is a master piece.
No series even approach on teaching history, sociopathy, psychopathy, sadomasochism, wickedness and greed, as this one.
Every kid should be exposed to it to learn about the people around and what make them tick, not to mention the average American ignoramus to get a contrast on how lowbrow and provincial his tastes are.
>>382441>masterpieceMasterbate, you mean. If you want to learn about psychopathy there are plenty of resources available that don't involve being bored to sleep at regular interval
>>382440Thats relatively easy to speak to. The 'artistic taste' regularly depicted by the 'movie night consensus' (reminder, the G3 or G5 poll got 1 vote, so 'consensus' is a funny use of the term) is reminiscent of the film predilections of the Critic (the John Loveitts animation). I'll remind you if you've forgotten.
>>382442>Masterbate, you mean.Ew no.
What about to move it to the end of Movie Night? Surely might cater your preference and allow the ones enjoying Roman devious plots to watch the series to its rightful end.
Let's what Flappy thinks.
>>382443Gasp! You mean, making movie night about MOVIES? You mean, NOT this incrementally drawn-out fixation on way too many series to the point of having to (personally) set an alarm to wake me when it's time for the actual movie? What a concept
>>382444I don't disagree with you.
>>382445Then I'll do you one better! The thing about boring MOVIES is that they END. You don't have to come back next week and think 'oh fuck, there's more of this'. And then the next week, and so on. Once you've finished a boring movie, you can stop watching, whereas a boring series just keeps on giving.
With respect, it is appreciable that I, Claudius is "one of those dramas". By that I mean oh yes, the acting is so very neo-shakespearian; They're all so very serious. The reference to the Critic was deliberate (the line was "I like french films: pretentious, boring french films. Iiiiiiii like french films, two tickets cie vous plaiiiiiiit" followed by a slap from the cashier). Huh, Robert Graves wrote I, Clausius in the 30's, no doubt the books are better.
>>382446>Robert Graves wrote I, Clausius in the 30'sIt is twelve episodes BBC series from 1976.
>>382447Now is not the time to be dismissing citations
>The I, Claudius novels are two books published in 1934 and 1935, respectively, both written by the English 20th century writer Robert Graves, but in the form of an autobiography of the Roman Emperor Claudius who ruled the Roman Empire from 41 to 54 AD.
>>382442>'consensus' is a funny use of the termI never used the term "consensus," you did. What I said is that you're the only one who's complained so far about I Claudius. The reason being that you're the only one who's complained so far about I Claudius. You were also the only one complaining about Wodehouse Playhouse and Drawn Together, which as far as I can tell everyone else enjoyed. You complain a lot about things that nobody else seems to have a problem with. Hence my calling attention to the fact that, much like Jay Sherman in the Critic, you're the only one complaining.
Anyway, I'm not really looking to make a big thing out of this. As far as the schedule goes I'm easy like Sunday morning; generally, I just pick stuff that I like that I think our group would enjoy, and if it turns out that the group doesn't like it I'm more than willing to make changes. If nobody says anything, I assume everyone is happy with the format as is. The present schedule is the result of both Flappy and myself making numerous changes to accommodate various people's suggestions and complaints.
In this specific case, since you're the only one complaining, and since you've complained vocally about other things we've shown that nobody else seemed to have a problem with, I'm inclined to not see this as a serious problem. It's like trying to make dinner for a picky six year old who is likely to pitch a fit one way or the other. You can either eat what the rest of us are eating, or you can go to your room and sulk I guess.
>>382449So in your adaptability, if I put together a 'menu' you would give it a go?
>>382450I'd be willing to look at it and consider it. I'd also want to hear from the rest of the group to see what they think before making any final changes; I'm not just going to uproot the entire format and do something different just because one person has a problem.
>>382451Naturally, who would, and of course input is important, bus come on. The viewing order of stuff is like the course-menu of a restaurant; 'this' dish is SUPPOSED to increase anticipation for the NEXT dish, and a stodgy drama to start the night makes one want to go get some fast food. Like that scene at the vegan restaurant in Grandma's Boy
Hey fren wasn't all with it Friday. It's about 50-40 minutes.
MLPOL Anniversary StreamHenlo my dudes! Today's a special day. The anniversary of the founding of /mlpol/ as a board over on the currently-cucked origin site.
In reverence for this, I've thrown together some stuff onto a playlist on the CyTube room for your perusal. Feel free to add more stuff. I'll be in and out, trying to do some other stuff, but having a specific /mlpol/ room running alongside the Marekissers Anonymous afterparty room could be fun.

>>382536Thanks for the stream tonight Flappy, it was alot of fun
>>382443For whatever my vote's worth, I'd prefer to keep it in the before-movie time slot. I sometimes can't stay up until the end of the night, and I love these non-movie series. Sometimes the movies are hit-and-miss, and I appreciate the run-up to the movie. From the intermission, to the shorts, to the episode of a thing, then to the movie.
Ideally, we'd get a way to have this run in the CyTube room where we have more engagement options to shitpost with.
>>382552The ceiling burds are the CyTube April Fool's Day event.
>>382558It's really just a me problem I suppose, frequently waking up between 2 and 4am, by the time the movie is starting I'm usually in shutdown mode, and having to sit through several shows that - no accounting for taste - I simply don't appreciate the quality of makes it more difficult.
I will also say that when I ask "how long before movie" or something to that effect, there's several things I could be saying: 'I need to take a nap if I am to continue later', or 'I need to run to the store to get an energy drink, how much time do I have'. But really, what I am saying is "I'm trying to schedule something on the fly, and i would appreciate an at least rough estimate of how much time I have.
I don't know is an acceptable answer. So, if you insist on displaying trash shows (I said it) then I insist that you meet me in the middle by giving me timeframes when I ask. Deal?
>>382561I say 'you', but I'm being ironic; you don't decide to shitpost when people are making requests
>>382561>I insist that you meet me in the middle by giving me timeframes when I ask. Kinda pushy your request.
>>382563It wasn't a request, it was an offer of parlay. And, it's the far more reasonable ask.
>>382564Ur a frn gn freNMm
>>382565Nini, ur more gai
>>382558>For whatever my vote's worth, I'd prefer to keep it in the before-movie time slot. I sometimes can't stay up until the end of the night, and I love these non-movie series. Sometimes the movies are hit-and-miss, and I appreciate the run-up to the movie. From the intermission, to the shorts, to the episode of a thing, then to the movie.This is pretty much how I feel about it too. If I remember correctly that was the concept behind this progression in the first place. It was based on the old-timey picture shows, where you'd have a cartoon and a couple of short features before the movie begins. I enjoy running these little oddball things that (I'm assuming) many people haven't seen but might enjoy. If a majority of people really don't like my selections and want me to cut them and/or show something else I won't force the issue, but if not I'd just as soon keep the schedule the way it is.
>>382561>It's really just a me problem I suppose, frequently waking up between 2 and 4am, by the time the movie is starting I'm usually in shutdown mode, and having to sit through several shows that - no accounting for taste - I simply don't appreciate the quality of makes it more difficult.Fair enough, I can understand this and sympathize to a point. If it helps, you can think of this as a return to the old pre-Netflix days of watching stuff, when programming was just put on by the guys who ran TV stations, and your options were to either watch what was on or shut the TV off. Inevitably you'd run into a problem like this, where a show you don't care about is wedged inconveniently between two shows that you do care about, and you have to find something else to do for 30 minutes. It's annoying, but you figure out a way to manage.
Deal?Fine, but I do think there are a couple of things worth pointing out here. I run basically the same stream every week, and unless it's a holiday or something, the programming order doesn't change. The movie itself is really the only variable-length thing in the stream; everything else is very predictable time-wise. Moreover, the schedule is posted in this thread before the stream starts, so there's no ambiguity about what's being shown. We also tend to have the same basic group of people showing up every week, and my assumption is that most of the regulars show up with a general idea of what I'll be showing and when.
If some completely new person were to wander in and ask "how long until X", I'd give them an exact answer, because I'd assume they didn't know and that's why they were asking. However, in the case of someone like yourself, who attends the stream almost every week, my assumption is that you're already familiar with the basic structure. So, when you ask "how much longer until Cowboy Bebop," my assumption is that "after ponies" is a reasonable enough answer. It's reasonable for me to assume that you already know that the pony block consists of 1 G4 episode and 2 older-gen shorts. It's also reasonable for me to assume that you know how long the episodes generally are, and that you are capable of basic math. Ergo, it's reasonable for me to assume that, when you ask "how long until Bebop," I could answer "after pony," and you would automatically interpret this answer to mean "about 40-45 minutes from now" without further explanation on my part.
Moreover, if you'd stuck around for literally ten seconds longer, instead of immediately getting pissy and storming out of the chat just because you couldn't handle a tiny amount of light banter, you'd have seen that your question was ultimately answered with the level of detail you were requesting and your buttrage was unwarranted. As we lovers of pretentious, boring French films are fond of saying:
La patience est amère, mais son fruit est doux.
>>382573It's true that I regularly attend movie and everything streams, and I usually don't pay attention to them because I'm waiting for the movie. "After ponies" can mean anywhere from a few minutes to a half hour when one has been tabbed out, passed out, or otherwise indisposed. But I suppose it's on me to communicate that better.
TBH, I would give I, Claudius more of a chance if one of the first things I saw wasn't Patrick Stewart with blond jerry curls.
>>382574No worries, it seems like most of the issue here just stems from miscommunication. I’ll try to keep your situation in mind.
> TBH, I would give I, Claudius more of a chance if one of the first things I saw wasn't Patrick Stewart with blond jerry curls.It really is quite a good series. The pacing is probably slower than usual compared to more recent shows, so it’s not really something you can watch casually in the background while doing something else, but I think if you give it a chance and watch from the beginning you’d like it.
>>382587>so it’s not really something you can watch casually in the background while doing something elseAbsolutely, it is crucial for the viewer to keep up with the dialogs and sequence of events from previous episodes.
>>382588So, what you're saying appears to be "If you missed the first episode you're kinda fucked for the duration?"
>>382587Binged, perhaps. Weekly? I will decline from saying any more rude things, but you have an idea where I was going.
>>382589>If you missed the first episode you're kinda fucked for the duration?Not quite, but the essence of the characters, yes.
>>382590In the particular case of I, Claudius, I can't specifically speak to validate your point about being/feeling lost (though there was plenty). It was pretty easy to see that it was n emperor growing increasingly megalomaniacal to the point of pathology; anon's point wasn't wrong.
But in no reality are you going to convince me that Jean Luc Picard both has a full head of blond hair AND is a legionairre or whatever. Headcanon request denied, and the entirety of the production must bear the stain even before any further analysis occurs.
>>382591>Jean Luc PicardI, Claudius is a 1976 British series. Star Trek the New Generation, is an American series beginning in 1987. There is no possible confusion, and even if it is, the former is hairy, the later bald. Let us be sport anon.
>>382593Oh? So you're saying he wasn't a waifish bald man in a wig, pretending to be a professional soldier back in The 70's? Professor X?
>>382594I submit that I, Claudius stays on the same schedule.
>>382595There was never the expectation that the schedule would change, this is purely shitting-on a bad series that managed to be sufficiently less-bad than its contemporaries to manage 'critical acclaim'.
>>382596>this is purely shitting-on a bad seriesIt is a master piece anon. I'm so sorry you won't give it a chance.
The first time I have a glance on this series I thought exactly like you, boring and trash, but years later it came to my hands the full DVD collection and just for pure boredom I gave it a run. Imagine my surprise when after the second or third episode I realized that that shit actually was platinum.
A thot did get patrolled.
>>382597>it's a masterpieceThey said the same thing about Avatar (the blue people one), and out of spite waited like 10 years before I finally caved and watched it. The assumption was that there was no way that the hype was justified. My intuition proved correct in that case, and I have less good feelings about I Claudius, even beyond the ridiculousness of Patrick Stewart. There's acting, and there's ACTING like you're acting, and I Claudius is the latter; pretentious, super-serious, and dull. No one is saying "stop watching the mini-series", but each episode feels longer than a whole-ass movie and clearly I maintain no reservations about saying so, for the record.
>>382597Ever precious
>>382599>There's acting, and there's ACTINGThe preciousness of I, Claudius is not in the acting or image/studio set, but the story and dialogs teaching about wicked psychology in a old civilization.
The corollary is that human kind has not changed a bit.
>>382601>The corollary is that human kind has not changed a bitWow, hot take. By that logic, a text or history book is a masterpiece. Basically all you have indicated was - as I said - it isn't good, it was the best available at the time.
>>382602>By that logic, a text or history book is a masterpiece.I never read a history book showing me the emotional interactions of the participants. I believe it is called "dramatization".
>>382603>dramatizationOkay that's fair. Regardless, English media - and this is Shakespeare's fault - has this preconception with how Roman culture behaved that doesn't resonate as anything more than atrificial. Even the good acting - Claudius does a good job - doesn't result in a suspension of disbelief; it feels more like a recorded play than a mini-series, and I just can't take it seriously (it does that well on it's own and without assistance)
>>382605>it feels more like a recorded play than a mini-series, and I just can't take it seriouslyFrom the perspective of a Hollywood consumer, your assessment is understandable. As how elitist the following might sound, this series is not quite suitable for the unwashed masses.
>>382606Fuck Hollywood, you're an idiot who doesn't know what you're talking about. 'Oh look, someone doesn't agree with my taste, they must be unwashed reddit', fucking ponce.
>>382607It didn't take long to lose composure.
>>382608The hell are you talking about? You lost any expectation of respect the moment you went for ad hominem. It's quite evident who the pleb is.
>>382609You seem to have a strange amount of vitriol and hatred directed at this. About anything that is not "the movie", but also at this and most other things we show that aren't the movie. We do a lot more than watch "a movie" during the Watch Party.
Is there some problem with looking at the evening's programming as "an evening on CyTube watching a premade playlist with a chatroom"? As far as I can tell, you seem to be spreading a lot of negativity for reasons that amount to personal hatred of anything other than just watching a movie, and it's not clear why. What the objection to non-movie content is in general, and the objection to the programming chosen specifically here.
To be completely honest, I kind of drift away for a while when we're watching the old cartoons in the leadup to I, Claudius, but the old-timey programming of I, Claudius, The Wodehouse show, and the other things we've had in that time slot are all gems so far to me.
If you want stuff happening in a different time slot, on a different day of the week, then feel free to articulate it and put together a test run. I've considered moving this to a different weeknight so that more people are free for this over the other Friday night events. The wall I'm at right now personally is just inertia and juggling the other life stuff. Just keep in mind that a Potluck Night requires a number of active and enthusiastic participants, and can't be assembled live without the person running the room spending so much time managing the event that they can't relax and participate with others.
Making rude demands will not give you success in your goals.
Criticisms without offering a clear and simple alternate way of doing things does not represent you or your case well.
There's been an Afterparty room on CyTube, Marekissers Anonymous, that's been running for a while. There are usually half a dozen to a dozen active users in the chatroom, and it runs on a potluck system with a script to automatically queue up PMVs when there's nothing suggested by the users. Maybe spending some time there can help scratch your itch for the time being?
I'll see you in the Watch Party room in about six hours or so. Maybe some meditating will help things.
A bit of a delay in the start of the night. My internet access is hostage pending running around for a while will update when I'm closer to being free.
For the first Friday of the fourth month happening on the fourth day. Aside from an unexpected delay, I think we're doing good.
There's a Tamers12345 episode premiering today, but we're at least an episode behind on the stream. Rather than work through all sorts of planning stuff, I figured it would make sense to just go with a regular stream and then see if people would like to have a kind of Tamers-focused stream on some other day of the week. Not exactly like the catch-up streams I did once or twice for Gargoyles, but similar. There's a lot in the Watch Party playlist that doesn't quite fit in to the now-standard format.
I'll tell you what we
do have going on this week, though!
Our highlights include an eight minute video talking about how “historically speaking, bronies[sic] were inevitable”. Then there's a delightful short video of Nigel and Marmalade helping Patricia hide a murder weapon that I think we'll enjoy.
The shorts for the week are themed around a Wizard War.
This week's Farscape episode involves our characters being hunted by bounty hunters, and needing to do some fancy pretending to get out of this jam.

FarscapeSeason 1 Episode 11 -
The Blood Runs ClearJohn and Aeryn narrowly avoid destroying Farscape-1 in a wormhole and land on a planet where they learn their crew is being pursued by bounty hunters-- so they pretend to be some themselves~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Given the shorts and Nigel being about wizards, I think that “wizard” will be tonight's theme.
Room is running and we'll be on our way right away!

You're not even trying anymore
>>382626>not remembering the six millionoy vey, it's a very important film, goyim
>>382627To your credit, you are consistent with having dodgy taste
>>382628Oh, stop being a sourpuss and just join the fun. It's a special edition, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
>>382629You posted the schedule, hard pass
>>382630>>382631Let me put it into perspective. Your schedule is so boring, I don't even want to show up for ponies. That's right, your schedule sucks SO bad that MARES are unappealing. I know, its the last night, PLEASE finish the fuck up with I claudius, and let us never speak of it again. Schindler's List? The fuck were you thinking??
>>382632>your schedule sucks SO bad that MARES are unappealing.rood.
>I know, its the last night, PLEASE finish the fuck up with I claudius, and let us never speak of it again.Just for that, next week's stream will be an I, Claudius marathon and we will ALWAYS speak of it again
>Schindler's List? The fuck were you thinking??oy vey, how could you forget the six gorillion?
really, though, I suppose it's my fault for expecting you to have a sense of humor
>>382633>roodFuck off. Shindler's List? Schindler's list. Schindler's fucking list. What's next, a 'reading' of "The Diary of Anne Frank?" That fits right, cuz its WW2 right?
>Wanton disgust
>>382635No, Schindler's Fucking List was the XXX rated sequel, we're watching that next week.
>>382638Are you capable of serving other than yourself?
>>382638>5$ the mealI miss it.
>>382639I think I'm serving you pretty effectively.
>>382643L:ike you've served the mlpol audience? Trying the same thing but expecting different results? Yeah, posture all you want, you're an abivalent shitposter! But how is the site doing? How are incentivization methods such as communal events including and not limited to movie night doing? Youve been at it for quite some time.
I'm gonna go to bed. Happy anniversary!
>>382644What are you even angry about?
I have to be honest. You wanted to come back here, mend bridges and all that? The way you're behaving is a big part of why everything blew up for you before and you wound up getting banned. Getting pointlessly combative about everything, taking minor quibbles and exaggerating them into huge fights; it's exhausting to deal with.
You're the only one who has a problem with the movie night schedule. Moreover, if you're going to be this obnoxious about it, nobody is going to be inclined to listen to your complaints or take you seriously. I can't even tell what you're upset about half the time, you just inarticulately rage about things that don't seem to bother anyone else. Just chillax, my dude.
>>382647.mending bridges
We'll start there. I've gone out of my way to acknowledgr my faults and misgivings. Well golly gee, I must be the only one.
The way I'm behaving is exactly what happened last time, when a bunch of inneffectual assholes decided to ignore the one person who was trying to take what is and try to make something better. I know, you have gotten quite comfortable "as things are", so obviously you have no interest in having to do more.
>>382649>BoomBoom has an opinionLet's just pause and savor this moment
Oh look, to no one's surprise BoomBoom had nothing to say, but piped up anyway.
>>382647It's real simple. Imagine that you wanted people to come back. Not just the regulars, but everyone.
>>382651>Oh look, to no one's surprise BoomBoom had nothing to say, but piped up anywayHow mistaken you are.
>>382651>Imagine that you wanted people to come back. Not just the regulars, but everyone.Alright, just for the sake of argument, I'll bite. What exactly are you saying? That we've lost people? Even though we've basically had the same core group of regulars for the last 5 years? And all of these phantom viewers would come back to the stream if we started only showing programs that you, personally, approve of? Which as far as I can tell would be an extremely short list?
>>382653At face value, the argument is that you might have more viewers if you didn't start each stream with a boring-ass drama that ostensibly you had to see the first episode of or you're lost for the next 8 weeks.
I would say the greater point is a macrocosm of that microcosm, but me guess, not making sense?
If you were a new user, or even a lurking old user, what would incentivize you to post?
And now, what can be done about it?
>>382654>boring-ass dramaYou are literally the only person here saying that it's boring. Everyone else who was watching said they enjoyed it. It's a critically-acclaimed classic series based on two critically-acclaimed classic novels. I'm sorry you don't have the attention span to appreciate it
and apparently can't deal with Patrick Stewart having hair for some reason, but unfortunately there's no accounting for taste. As far as it being an appropriate choice for the stream, if you consider that this board is half-/pol/, and there's usually an overlap between /pol/ and /his/, as well as /lit/ to some extent, I would assume that a drama about the seedy underbelly of Imperial Rome ought to be a popular choice. I made a judgement call, and it seems to have paid off, with you being the only outlier.
>ostensibly you had to see the first episode of or you're lost for the next 8 weeks.This is actually a fair point. Showing anything with an ongoing story would run that risk. However, the same can be said about the anime block or the pony block, both of which are also popular. Also, I Claudius is the first thing I've shown in that time block that has an ongoing story between episodes. Before that, I ran Wodehouse Playhouse, which are all self-contained stories, and before that was the Honeymooners, which is also one story per episode. Before that I was running Little Rascals shorts iirc. The thing I'll be running starting next week is also the kind of show you can jump into at any point without having seen the previous episodes. So again, I don't think the issue here is so much that the format turns people off, so much as that you, personally, don't like my choices. You're entitled to your opinion, but you're heavily outvoted, and I'm the one running the stream. If you don't like what I pick, feel free to start your own stream, with blackjack, hookers, etc.
>I would say the greater point is a macrocosm of that microcosm, but me guess, not making sense?Read this sentence out loud to yourself and see if you can answer that one on your own.
>If you were a new user, or even a lurking old user, what would incentivize you to post?What would incentivize
me to post would be quality discussion and quality content related to subjects I'm interested in. We could probably debate about what, specifically, that might entail for the average person, but I think in any case "come to the movie stream to hear Ninjas bitch and moan about
every single thing that gets shown is not going to be a huge draw for anyone.
>And now, what can be done about it?What can be done is that you can either stop bitching or continue bitching. I'd prefer that you stop, but I have no power to compel you.
>>382655In this case, aside from cheeky one liners, my insults and attacks have been against the series it's self while on the other hand, I've been insulted and attacked for attacking the series.
>duhhhhh nobody said nothin'>duhhhhh you don't like patrick stewartMaybe your eyes aren't trained to see horseshit when you see it, but I see a guy like Patrick Stewart pretending to be a roman solder that ISN'T bald and immediately go "Nah, horsehit."
If you CAN'T, don't go anywhere near CaliforniaMacrocosm versus microcosm refers to the idea that all of reality is reflections of its self at different levels. The reference was to indicate the defensiveness that resulted from the idea that the stream was in any way not as good as you had built up in your mind.
This against the macrocosm of receptivity to any deviation from the general strategy the site has maintained for many years now. See how much receptivity there was to making a porn board for a day just to see if people will respond? As though pressing the delete button a day later was such an egregious ask. As though getting a straight answer from you is such an egregious ask. The same attitude that pervades the willingness to attack me rather than continue an otherwise enjoyable argument about the quality of a TV series is the same attitude that pervades the site which has become observably hostile to the notion of lifting a finger for non-site users in any way.
They are both reflections of an attitude that lacks self reflection and is at the very least inconsiderate of any potential new/oldfags.
Maybe you didn't notice, but oldfags are coming out of the woodwork, try to have a shred of propriety; you may have given up on the site growing any life to it but I haven't.
And yes, I WOULD be encouraged if I came to a site and saw users with the testicular fortitude to challenge Staff and all comers over a subjective experience, if anything I would be discouraged by the logical fallacies and loose rhetoric of you and 'yours'.
are you still following or did I lose you again?
>>382657I took some time to calm down before replying, because this is an extremely silly argument and I don't want it to escalate any further. I'm going to explain this to you in very plain and simple terms, and then this conversation is finished.
1. I have no particular obligation to stream free entertainment for everyone once a week.
2. I run this stream for fun and because people appreciate it. If it stops being fun, or if people stop appreciating it, I'm not going to do it anymore.
3. While I will generally make an effort to accommodate people's preferences, I am not obligated to accommodate anyone. If someone is being obnoxiously combative, particularly when they are making complaints that no one else is making, I'm not going to listen to them.
4. This stream is not intended to be a newfag magnet or advertising for mlpol.net. This is a fun place for anons to hang out and watch stuff on Fridays. If new people want to drop in, they're welcome to. If they don't want to stick around, they don't have to.
5. I don't know if the issue is that you need meds, therapy or what, but the behavior you've exhibited in this thread is exactly why nobody likes interacting with you, and it needs to stop. It's why you're not on staff anymore, and it's why you received multiple bans. If you can't rein yourself in, then you won't be welcome in my stream anymore.
411 is normally and information hotline number, so on this day, April 11th (4-11), I've decided to grab one video by Joxy talking about how G1 was pretty Dark, as well as a 12 minute video on The History of Gargoyles by Secret Galaxy. We've also got a short on making easy flavoured carbonaded soda using pine needles. You can do the same thing with fruit peels, sugar, and water. It takes a week to ferment, and it uses the natural yeast that shows up from the air. Just wash them in dish soap and water, and rinse thoroughly.
After this, we have our traditional motley collection of Pony Music and short animations to fill out the rest of the hour.
I'm trying a thing where I talk about this Watch Party on the fediverse, so we'll see how that develops over the next couple weeks.

Without further ado, let's get the ball rolling tonight!
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Alrighty folks, here we go again. Tonight, we're starting a new pre-movie series as well as a new pony generation. Here is tonight's schedule:
Looney Tunes: To Duck or Not to Duck
Jeeves and Wooster Ep 1 - Jeeves' Arrival
The Big Lebowski (1998)
I think we've watched this before, but it's also been awhile and it's a good movie.
Poni:
G4: S2e21 - Dragon Quest
G5: Tell Your Tale eps 1-4
Animu:
Trigun Ep 3 - Peace Maker
Trigun Ep 4 - Love and Peace
Oh, wow. The 4chan hack definitely shook things up.
While we're here, if any curious newcomers, or regulars, want to ask any questions about the Watch Parties, feel free to ask.
Also, feel free to make requests for this week. I want to put something together that's a little special, but don't quite know what will suit the occasion.
>>383660Forgot my name/trip.
Here when relevant, not used when not relevant.
>>383660I just wanna lurk.
and be but ass naked in my bedroom.
But with 4chan gone, my bedpan has been filling up out of angst.
>>383660I'll probably check this out on friday. How long does it usually go on for?
>>383664That can work. The room's population usually isn't active enough to have a potluck most nights, so I almost always go with pre-made playlists.
>>383678The nights go from about 7pm Eastern time and then for 5-6 hours. That said, it's common enough for people to keep the room going and watch a bunch of other stuff until after the sun comes up. Time zones are weird.
I don't enforce an end time. Once the pre-planned content ends, I'll either put on some agreed-upon other episodes of a show or will open the list for a Potluck where people can suggest their own videos. I normally start to crash towards the end of the night, so I won't be able to be as attentive. I'll have to leave it to one of the mods. Or, if there's a huge upswing in population, I'll try nominating one of the regulars as another mod. Someone who can stay up super late.
This week the movie section of the night will be out, so I'll be figuring something else to do. We definitely won't have the regular shorts and episode leading in to the movie, followed by ponies, but I'll be poking around with setting a movie or some other series' up.
If you have some movies from Internet Archive or other streaming site like YT or Rumble to plug in to the CyTube room, then feel free to suggest them.
>>377109Looks fun
I have the idea of shilling this around the bunker sites so there can be an crosssite exchange between this watch party and the rewatch stream
On friday the nor/mlp/eople can join your stream and on saturday you can join ours
Would you be ok with that?
>>383998raising awareness of mlpol is just a good idea in general; of the varios altchans I've been scouring, this place has the most potential.
>>383683I have a growing interest to do a cytube of Epic the Musical, but don't think that should be the dedicated feature of a movie stream and will probably opt for a Saturday or Sunday
>>383998OP would be fine with it i'm sure.
>>383998I'd appreciate it.
I might have to start putting the start time of the stream on in UTC or some other universal time code, so people don't have to do mental math if they're in a different time zone.
Happy Good Friday, everyone! Both to the regulars and to the newfrens.
This is your reminder that in just a little more than six (6) hours, we'll have one of our wonderful weekly traditions. A Watch Party! It's not a livestream, it's an hour of pony fan content, some episodes of tv shows, a movie, and then pony episodes.
The idea is to get a pre-made block of programming so we can all hang out in the chatroom for a few hours. No registration is necessary, but you do still have to pick a name.
You're also encouraged to pick and post images from PonerPics in the chat for some more lively emotes.
I think you'll enjoy the movie picked out for this week.
>>384817>11PM GMT startI'm gonna be absolutely hammered by then.
>>384825Then glorious shitposting will be done!
I have last week's playlist for the first half currently running in the room if anyone wants to pop in for a sample.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Kind of shitty timing considering the sudden influx of new people, but I’m at Babscon this week and won’t be able to stream anything tonight. If someone else can fill in for my portion this week I would appreciate it, the regular program will resume next week.
How late do these streams usually stay active? I'd love to pop in but I don't get off work until like 3 hours after the stream starts.
>>384887The streams usually go for about four to six hours. If people are still feeling up to it, we go for longer.
The movie this week will start about two hours and twenty minutes after we start the Watch Party.
The second portion of the night usually starts off with an intermission, several shorts, and then an old TV show, and then the movie. I haven't timed that, but our normal movie portion guy is out this week.
>>384876I got some sources for the movie portion of the night. I had some help finding a show and a movie on Archive.org.
We got you covered, Elway. Have an /mlpol/ gathering for us!
for shits and giggles I set up an IRC channel on irc.canternet.org #mlpol
People who haven't used IRC before or don't remember anything about it, IRC is one of the oldest group chat protocols in existence that has IRC clients for every device and platform imaginable.
Hexchat is probably the best "normal" all-around desktop client. -
https://hexchat.github.io/I've included a couple screenshots to help out, it is very easy though.
After hexchat is installed, just put in whatever nickname you want, if the nickname is already chosen then it falls back to the second or third. There is also a list of popular networks, Canternet is already in the list.
You can just select that and join the network, then /join #mlpol after connected to the server, or you can edit the network (where the mouse curser is in the first screen shot) and add the channel to automatically connect to that channel when joining the network.
There are quite a few additional options and things that can be done, but all that is optional. registering an account and username is totally optional.
>>384966Use a VPN prior to connecting, as Canternet doesn't mask your connection IP
>>383660Never been to the /mlpol/ streams, how do you decide on whats loaded. Is it like a mysterybox stream where you never know what you're going to get? Does the community have a say in what to watch?
>>384990The idea is that it's a pre-made program of content. The first couple of nights ended with me spending more time managing things than actually being in the stream night.
After the pre-made stuff is over, I'm fine with putting other stuff in. There are some people who want to make sure they show up specifically in time for the movie, and adding more content before the movie messes with the time.
The first hour-ish is where we have the most content and the most variety. Then it's longer form content, then a movie. On normal nights, after the first hour and episode, there's usually an intermission where we start off with old animations, an old show, then a movie and a few other things. Check out
>>382808 for an example.
Shorter videos and songs I'm fine with adding, but stuff that's 10+ minutes can throw off the schedule.
We'll have space after the pony episodes after the movie, if you can stay up that long. That'll be for the longer videos.
The main issue is when people are just sitting in and not actively adding enough content, I have to do that myself. That takes away my ability to enjoy the stream myself.
>>384999Got it, I may not make it around the first hour or two but I'll check it out at some point. I didn't really get involved in the emotespam of /mlp/ streams and preferred watching an occasional movie or listened to tunes with mlp's /bootleg watch2together. I've done some of my own cytube stream setups before so I know it can be a hassle to get everything ready.
>>384966We are watching the China Show right now. It's a fantastic show digging into what china government is doing
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Welcome, Regulars and Newfrens!
This sure is an interesting day. We had a bit of a sit-in pre-stream watching random stuff before starting up the stream night, which is a new thing. We're also doing something a little different for the second part of the stream to keep the whole event on CyTube.
We've got our regular mix of music, some short video bumpers, and a couple of videos showcasing /mlpol/'s founding. I've also grabbed a new video from Homestarrunner.com talking about going back to a website.
The big highlight of the week is “Pony Kombat: Fluttershy vs. Derpy” by Space Oddpony that was released just last week.
After this, we have our weekly episode of Farscape, then we'll move on to the second portion of the night, which I'll put in a later post.

See you in the room! We'll be going for around four to six hours, and then we might go further if people are still up.

>>385075>Dan Vs.I <3 U mate!!!!!!!!!!
>>385075On my way.
Sorry I'm late.
We're getting closer to the end of Farscape now, and we're moving towards the second phase of the night.
Dan Vs - E1 - The Wolf-Man
Plotting revenge against the culprit that left scratches on his car.
Dan Vs - E2 - New Mexico
Dan has a grudge with New Mexico which leads to a road trip.
[1986] Big Trouble In Little China
White man sees asian gang violence. Guns and magic ensue as Yellow Man has White Girl fever.
I'm putting the playlist for tonight together. It'll be a bit late tonight.
The order is usually Playlist - Ordering - Post - Pictures - Anouncement Posts
I should have my schedule together shortly as well.
Once again we meet, my fine fellows.
Another week is past, and another Watch Party beckons. With the passing of last week's BabsCon, we have a full Watch Party with our regular programming this week. This will affect only the portion of the night after Farscape, wherein we will move to a different website. There's something about how it does the video and audio streaming that makes it hard to pipe into the CyTube room, so that's our current option. I think you'll like the extra variety in programming that it allows us to bring to these events.
In this night we have our regular mix of pony fan music with some bumpers (Nigel and Marmalade bumpers again this week), and we've got some music videos and comic dubs.
Our Farscape episode this week will see us split the party again. What could possibly go wrong?

FarscapeSeason 1 Episode 14 -
Jerimiah CrichtonJohn runs away from Moya in a fit and becomes stranded, and Rygel learns that His Holiness is close to godliness~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To go with the Space theme of Farscape, I think tonight's Pony Theme of the Week will be Constellations.
With that, the prep for the week is pretty much ready. See you in the room!

Here is tonight's program for the movie portion:
Merrie Melodies: Hop and Go
Jeeves and Wooster Ep 2: Tuppy and the Terrier
Cannibal: The Musical
We have technically shown this one before but it's been awhile and it's kino.
Ponies:
G4: S2e22 - Hurricane Fluttershy
G%: Make Your Mark Ch. 1
Anime:
Trigun Ep 5 - Hard Puncher
Trigun Ep 6 - Lost July
>>387825I was wondering why the stream was just playing the same few files on loop.
>>387803The South Park guys kept making a bunch of different kinds of movies, huh? It might be same-y and corny in a lot of ways, but I'm pretty impressed with their range.
Canadian Election Results live Watch Party happening in the /CDNPOLI/ thread.

There's also a Top Ten Pony Music channel (mentioned in the YouTube video), a Mastodon account (
https://equestria.social/@TheTop10PonyVideos ), a Dicksword channel, and more besides.
I hope the day is treating you well, and that you remember to swing by tomorrow evening for our weekly Watch Party. I'll try to get a few more of the Top Ten videos on the list.
Hi, hello, how the heck are ya?
Many of us have had one hell of a week, but the Watch Party marches on!
To continue the development of it, I'd like to add a bunch of the videos from last month's Top Ten Pony Videos. A bit more thickening up of the list, and pretty soon we'll have a great evening ahead of us.
We've got several animations from the list, a two part (with alternate ending) Batpony Vampire music series by PrinceWhateverer (alternate ending by Twital), some bumpers, and miscellaneous music. Animations from Agrol, Makaryo, banquo0, Kaciekk, and more are all in here. Furthermore, we have some recent music releases to pack out the time for a well rounded experience.
Tonight's Farscape episode involves the return of Durka. Remember Rygel? The small muppet character who is a deposed royal? This is his torturer whom he's going to meet again. A previous episode suggested that he had died. The crew really can't catch a break.

Durka ReturnsWhen a Starburst goes badly wrong, Moya collides with a Nebari ship. On board is Durka, Rygel's former torturer, who has been mind cleansed and now serves the Nebari.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For tonight's second step forward, I'm re-naming our room! This time, it'll be more descriptive, rather than the more improvised room we had before. I'll spend the first section of the night getting the emotes and plugins up and running.

Hello everyone!
This is an alert that the Watch Party will start a bit later tonight, as something came up IRL that will take a little while. I'm hoping to get things running by about 7:30pm Eastern Time.
Hello all, looks like we'll be getting a bit of a late start tonight, but here is the schedule for the movie portion:
Looney Tunes: The Wise Quacking Duck
Jeeves and Wooster: The Hunger Strike
Short Circuit 2: Electric Boogaloo (1988)
Sequel to the movie we watched last week.
Ponie:
S2E24 - MMMystery on the Friendship Express

>>389598Slight error of omission on the pony portion:
>Ponie:>S2e24 - MMMystery on the Friendship ExpressWe will also be watching the next G% Make Your Mark episode, title is "Growing Pains" I believe.
Alrighty, I clearly underestimated the time involved in that little adventure. To keep things going, I'll say that tonight is a potluck night. I'll just toss a handful of songs or skits in the list, toss an episode of Farscape on, and then we'll move.
Farscape announcement and details later.

One warm week of waiting has passed, and now it's time for a full and normally scheduled Watch Party. The FishFuk tiem.
Tonight, our Pony highlights include a three part mini-album by Vylet Pony titled “The Magic Show”. No prizes for guessing which blue cunt of a whorse is featured here. Added on to this is k00l's Pone Thread Simulator 11, and to cap off the pony section, our crown jewel will be Alumx's full Griffon Village animation / music video. It has his characteristic animating style, with that wonderful mix of cutouts and lighting effects.
Our bumpers will include some skits of less than a minute and a couple of skits that are around four minutes long.
Outside of this we have our traditional mix of music and comic dubs.
In this week's Farscape episode, things get a little weird, and this small episode becomes surprisingly important later on.
May your good days be great and your bad days be more bearable.

The room is ready open!
Evening chumps and chumpettes, we're back with yet another exciting installment of "streaming assorted junk-food for your eyeballs on Friday." Here is tonight's menu:
Merrie Melodies: The Aristo-Cat
Jeeves and Wooster: Will Anatole Return to Brinkley Court?
The Rules of Attraction (2002)
Requested by an anon from last week's stream.
Ponis:
G4: S2e25 - A Canterlot Wedding, Part 1
G5: Tell Your Tale episodes 9-12
Trigoon:
Episode 11: Escape from Pain
Episode 12: Diablo
Reminder: Watch Party tonight starting in about 20 minutes!
If there is one great truth about the strange and tumuluous times we find ourselves in, it is this: Pony will Pony Pony.
Our regular mix of classic and modern music returns, with some recent comic dubs by Scribbler Productions and a fun little animation by Mouseu. Just earlier today both MelodyBrony and BGM have released tracks, and we've got one compilation of goals scored by >rape in the /mlp/ 4chan cup thanks to titansfreak28.
This week's episode of Farscape also looke like a fun one.

Evening fellows, here is tonight's movie program:
Merrie Melodies - Wackiki Wabbit
Jeeves and Wooster - Jeeves Saves the Cow Creamer
Star Wars (1977)
35mm original kino edition, as shown in drive-in theaters in 1977. This is the pure, unadulterated version of the film, minus all of the George Lucas poz that's been unceremoniously grafted onto it over the decades. I have Empire and Jedi in this format as well, if there are no objections we will do those over the next couple of weeks.
Poni:
G4 - S2e26: A Canterlot Wedding, Part 2
G5 - Make Your Mark: Ch 2, Episode 2, "Growing Pains"
note: the G5 episodes are numbered weird, but this should be one we haven't seen yet.
Trigun:
Episode 13: Vash the Stampede
Episode 14: Little Arcadia
