NO HOMO
Game continuation bread, where the party gets ready to wander off into parts unknown, potentially in different directions or to different areas. More bantz to go on in the meantime, but last bread got stale so here's a fresh one.
New players welcome/encouraged.

"... like an awareness that is devoid of consciousness, which otherwise seeks it!" she exclaims as though onto something not otherwise described.
She kisses Infernius fully openly, longingly, prolongedly, lastingly, sincerely, fervently,... need I go on?
"You delightful genius! A voidstone is a life!"
GM interjects
I didn't plan that, I didn't script any of this, and I take no responsibility.

whole different set of circumstances and agenda. This is all literally serendipity. BTW, I never mention inorganics did I?

Who
could have imagined? Certainly not me!
Deliberately avoiding accusations of faggotry et alI thought this was-just/might-be going to be a fun game.

>>21567And she (Fae) did smile, knowing (in as much as she could) what would (will) result of what has transpired (again, inasmuch as she could), almost as though her vigil had satisfied something she had kept unspoken.

So are we talking literally, or in-game here?
>>21551 >>21571I put all of my characters dialogue in quotes.
>>21572I thought I was talking to Trump with that,....
>>21547"It's the same pattern for weeks now, everyday. I do something nice to her, or we share a nice moment, and then she betrays my trust quickly. We share a moment when the mechanics come and the cores 'vanish.' We share a night and then she vanishes from my arms. Now I heal her in the shooting range and have nice moments, just for her to try yet again to poison her child. This is every day. Every time I think have moved forward, I am pulled right back. Do you not see the obvious insanity in doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results?"
>>21558"Forgive me, but what is the purpose of talking of void stones? So a certain something far away is alive. Why do we care? There are so many alive things far closer that are of more concern."
>>21571Just remarks. If I intended it to be in game, I would have put it in quotations

What was the name of that fictional serial killer (fictional, I think) who'd put a horse's head his victim's bed's to intimidate them?
>>21575All I can really say is that if someone were to have told me where I would find my girl (
not Thez) I would have laughed at them and not believed them.
>>21580I thought that was an Al Capone thing.
>>21580The only thing that really comes to mind is the scene in the Godfather when a crime boss kills the prized racing mare of some man and places the severed head in the person's bed to emphasize that he better accept his offer
>>21583
... and I'd been in my job for 5 years when we met. Sounds like a plan.
>>21587IKR? Life happens when you least expect it.
>>21581>Al CaponeAh, now I remember. It was from The Godfather. I could look up the inspirations for that scene as thematics for Tracy's Nithing poles.
>>21590Sorry, didn't see it.
It's funny, because it so similar to the Nordic ritual to curse a person's household to death. It might have been inspired off of it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nithing_pole Tracy flips through the catalogs of magic items in the crafting booklets at the workshop, and momentarily wishes she weren't a mudpony..
>>21592Oh, like she can't ask just about anyone - NPCs even - to give her a 'hand'
kek >>21593What about scrolls? They count as spells, right?
I can't for the life of me remember what scrolls she bought in town back then (it was before the first Soros fight, I can only remember Conceal Alignment), but I think I'll have her trot down to the shop and see what's available, if she can right now.
>>21593>NPCs evenIt would also be good to Gather Information around town about any mages for hire that may have settled in Port Barry.
>>21594>scrollsI think I put the bar at 3rd level spells, but I don't recall what all was acquired either.
>magesOn that note, don't expect
too much, I'm deliberately keeping NPC ranks low just because PCs are pretty fuggin' powerful as is. Having said, the trades and skill level of NPCs (as well as the number and diversity) has increased notably. Port Barry has become quite a 'thing' in-game.
Also yes, I know this bread is hella stale. I've got some errands to run, but I'll bake a new one in an hour or so.
>>21596How does one determine how long it will take to craft an item?
>>21596Actually, I have a few NPCs I need to talk to
>>21595>mages for hireHow tragic it is that no one in your party can perform magic
>>21600I would, but crafting magic items can take quite a while, can't it? I don't want to get in anyone's way.
>>21598Depends on the item, the spells/resources/xp required, the crafting level, and how salty I am from real-life shit
its true though >>21601Difficult to say. It would depend on the person, the amount of time, and the possible benefits of the crafted item.
What are you looking to make?
>>21599As far as NPCs, I can't really think of a trades-person that wouldn't be in Port by this point. Certain skill levels will naturally be less represented, but at the least players won't have to worry about "untrained" skills.
>>21605Sure. If I don't reply right away, I'm thinking of a good answer.
>>21603Really, anything useful to Tracy (she can't really use most of what's on the list). There was a whole list of cool/useful things I wanted
(Mask of the Skull), that weren't really within plausible reach for her. The first thing I thought of to upgrade the Nithing Poles into Darkskulls, to serve as cursed mailboxes for assassination requests, and to collect payments/offerings.
For now, since levitation is a 2nd level spell, I'll have her buy the scroll at the shop and get to work on some Horseshoes of Zephyr; since those don't look expensive.
Fug it, I'm gonna go ahead and bake new bread
>>21607May as well get to work on a bow as well, not sure about enchantments yet though.
