/MLPOL/ Watch Party Part 4: We Endure
The horrors persist, but so do we.
Welcome, newfags and oldfags. This is a thread about a weekly get-together some of us like to do on Fridays.
Account registration is not required.
Starting at around 7:00pm EST (8:00pm Central Time), and continuing until the end of the night.
Cytube is the current site hosting the Watch Parties, and the normal room is https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl . This may be subject to change, so double check the announcement post in the thread.
These nights consist of going to a website with a video player and a chatroom and having a good time. The format we're using lately starts with the first hour being a series of pony animations and music. This is followed with a couple episodes of a show, then we switch over to a livestream portion for a brief intermission, followed by a series of classic shorts, followed by a movie, followed by two episodes of another show, followed by MLP episodes, then the room is usually pretty open to whatever.
The mood of the nights is “Good Vibes”, and we tend to like more classic content compared to a lot of what's on offer these days.

We have two songs from the recent Ponies At Dawn Album, "Incisor" and “How Dare You To Be Kind”. There are more recent pony music releases on this playlist than old stuff from 2 or more years ago.
Non-pony animations include a christmas animation by Diives, two Fallout New Vegas related animations by “Mister Feelgood”, and a trailer for what seems to be a new Tamers episode. Someone also put some motion comic animation to that Ahsoka greentext using art from Cherrygig, so that's neat.
This week's Farscape episode brings us back to the torture room. Last week we learned that John DOES have some super valuable knowledge in his head to extract from him. He didn't know it, but he has knowledge of wormholes. The exact same thing that that specific military research base is researching how to weaponize.
Things are probably going to get harder for them before it gets easier.

This is a special day. It's the first Watch Party since Canada Day (July 1st), and the Independance Day of our friends in the United States of America. I hope those of us from other countries and continents are having good days as well.
We've all got a lot happening in our countries, too. Plenty of doom and gloom, but also a few glimmers of hope. Let's zone in to tonight with a mind to use this hope as our foundation for good cheer!

Happy freedom day, my proud african-americans. In honor of the 4th happening to land on a Friday this year, I've made some slight alterations to the usual program. We'll be putting Jeeves and Wooster on pause for the week and doing a double movie feature instead, followed by the usual pony and anime block.

Anyway, in keeping with our running theme of showing the Adult Swim lineup from 20 years ago, tonight's selection will be FLCL. This show is up there with Cowboy Bebop as one of the best things Japan has ever made; however it's also a bit strange and takes some getting used to. Like Bebop, the soundtrack is also amazing. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it, and if not, it's only six episodes long.
Unless I hear otherwise, the program should begin at the usual time following Flappy's stream.
