/MLPOL/ Watch Party Part 4: We Endure
The horrors persist, but so do we.
Welcome, newfags and oldfags. This is a thread about a weekly get-together some of us like to do on Fridays.
Account registration is not required.
Starting at around 7:00pm EST (8:00pm Central Time), and continuing until the end of the night.
Cytube is the current site hosting the Watch Parties, and the normal room is https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl . This may be subject to change, so double check the announcement post in the thread.
These nights consist of going to a website with a video player and a chatroom and having a good time. The format we're using lately starts with the first hour being a series of pony animations and music. This is followed with a couple episodes of a show, then we switch over to a livestream portion for a brief intermission, followed by a series of classic shorts, followed by a movie, followed by two episodes of another show, followed by MLP episodes, then the room is usually pretty open to whatever.
The mood of the nights is “Good Vibes”, and we tend to like more classic content compared to a lot of what's on offer these days.

It doesn't really 'turn' in to this drama, rather it's made in to this drama on purpose by a socially inept, possibly mentally ill loner. From what I gather, it doesn't matter what the users of this site are doing or discussing. We could be playing tabletop simulator or we could be talking in a thread about horse anatomy - the resident town dunce will be there to recite his flashbacks of the time he was banned years ago and how it was totally unfair while demanding the justice of moderator accountability. He's told time and time again he can stay and enjoy the movie, but still he lights up with his persecution complex and then acts like he's somehow won the moral battle when his username gets right-clicked on and banned.

It doesn't really 'turn' in to this drama, rather it's made in to this drama on purpose by a socially inept, possibly mentally ill loner. From what I gather, it doesn't matter what the users of this site are doing or discussing. I'm actually going to leave this one up because there are a couple of things worth addressing in here. First is that you have never even attempted to refute any position I or anyone else on this site has ever made. Let alone actually refuted anything. You have been given multiple opportunities to do so. Every line of communication you've ever requested has been given you; the problem is that you insist on burning every last bridge. I, along with everyone else on staff here, have repeatedly asked you, pleaded with you even, to articulate, in plain, simple English, just what the hell it is exactly that has your buttocks so utterly bamboozled. You have refused to do so at every juncture, opting instead to just shitpost and spew inarticulate rage.
I remember an old episode of House where a painter has some kind of brain disorder. He gets in trouble with a client who hired him to paint a portrait of his wife, and he delivers this bizarre-looking nightmare fuel image that looks nothing like her. In his mind, he thinks he's doing normal, photo-realistic portraiture, and the image looks normal to him, so he doesn't understand why the client is upset. Maybe that's you when you post here. Maybe you think you're presenting well-reasoned, clear, concise positions that sound sensible in your head, and you can't understand why everyone reacts to you the way you do. I don't know. All I can tell you is that most of the time, you actually sound like this:

These are actual quotes from the nonstop stream of inarticulate gibberish you were spamming my discord PMs with a few months ago. If you think you're being misrepresented by having these selections shown out of context, I'd be happy to screencap and post the whole conversation, all one side of it. Fair warning, though: it's literally just pages upon pages of unintelligible butthurt with no substance whatsoever. If I wanted to comb through the staff chat archives and find those tantrums you threw where you were screaming at Pupper and Fasces and whoever else over silly things, I'd probably have enough material for a book. Just type up whatever grievances you have in plain, readable English and post them, as I've suggested you do I don't know how many times before. If you're worried about your posts being deleted, why not screencap them and repost them? I mean, you're going to keep switching IPs and posting one way or the other regardless of how many times we ban you, right? And if you're worried about your screencaps getting deleted along with the rest of your posts, why not archive them and host them your own website? Make a blog; it's easy to do. Start a YouTube channel. Print up flyers and distribute them at MareFair. What's stopping you? Certainly not me.
The craziest thing about all of this is that I don't even have any serious problems with you on a personal level. When you're in the "chill and tolerable" part of your cycle I don't mind you at all. If you want to chillax and watch movies with all of us, I have no objection; all that's ever been asked of you is that you observe basic human decorum; ie, don't be an absolute ass. Except that there is something that whomever has the power (Flappy?) could do to resolve the problem once and for all that for reasons beyond me is not tried: Permaban him from Movie Night.
The reason he stays around, and the reason the cycle continues indefinitely, is because you let him stay around in Movie Night. Every time I pop into the movie portion of movie night, there he is under his usual "Ninjaz" handle. That's why he sticks around. That's why you're doomed to replay this same argument ad infinitum every few months.
The difference between your bar example and real life is that in real life, after a patron has proven themselves a serious problem the first, the second, the third, or the twelfth time, a police officer makes them sign a formal notice that they are not welcome back, and the police are called to arrest him every time he shows up. But here Nigjaaz is just let back into Movie night.
Why? Why do you not just keep him out of movie night? Yes I know he's fine when he's chilax. The problem as everyone knows is that he genuinely believes he's morally entitled to be a cunt when he wants to be, and he wants to be a cunt very often. We've been through this a dozen times. You already know the cycle. So ban him from movie night, ban his alts, and eventually he will stop trying. We've dealt with shitheads before. However persistent they may seem, however big of a problem they may be, when their posts aren't able to remain on the board, they eventually get bored and go away

Except that he isn't. You'll notice nigjaz flare ups tend to happen around about movie night. Of course they do, because he's still welcome there. Actually removing Ninjaz has never been tried, because he can always show up at Movie Night without pretending to be someone else, and he knows he has his foot in the door. Ban him and we can all move on. I'm sure he'll whine and try to evade for a few months or possibly even a year, but he'll move on. They all do.
Of course, I don't control movie night. But I recognize a problem, I see that it consistently spills over onto the board, and I don't understand why those who can solve the problem do not attempt to solve the problem.

We let him talk in /qa/ in 2022. We listened to him and let him talk on the board in 2024. We let him talk repeatedly in 2025. Even after he was banned in 2025, we let him talk over a period of several days in the August of 2025. He has nothing interesting to say, and everyone has realized that he is a massive cunt who thinks that he is entitled by the universe to be a massive cunt, and he refuses to change. There is nothing more to say or discuss. He has some kind of mental disorder that means that he cannot process information, or behave, in a rational manner. I'm not interested in studying him. I'm no longer interested in attempting to change him. Remove his posts and be done with it.

And I said and thought that he took it too far at times. However, I also said that I agreed with him. I think Posey has been a balance nightmare, as it so nicely is called (something that is repeatedly nerfed, from my understanding). Now, maybe now she is in better state and I have no problems with the player either btw. I'm just saying that I agreed with Ninjas there. I thought that character was bad at that state.
So what I want to say with this story is that I felt that Ninjas, while taking things way too far, came from a point of reason.

But do you remember what he did during those back and fourths? The threats to kill the party, followed by refusal to honor the results of his own character being attacked? The CONSTANT SPAM that went on for HOURS at a time because he got ass mad about something trivial and decided that the only way to express that was to spam the chat as fast as mods could delete his posts while the rest of us were trying to roleplay? The perpetual complaining? The doxxing threats? None of that was called for.
I never claimed to be a perfect player, but he did everything in his power to prevent me or any of us from having fun.

Alright folks, so I haven't really posted in here since this whole thread blew up probably at least partially my fault that it did, so sorry about that I guess, but I have been reading everyone's responses. I was trying to get a game done for the marecon game jam and that's where most of my focus was this week incidentally I did get my game finished, feel free to play through the submissions or watch the stream on Sunday and try to guess which one is mine. Anyway, long story short I've given this whole thing some thought and I've reached a conclusion. Lotus's post makes some reasonable points: Ninjaz has been a massive pain in everyone's ass, at least on the staff end, for a long time now. He's been given multiple chances for a redemption arc and he's blown every last one of them. From other users who've chimed in it sounds like most people's experiences with him are consistent with mine. I genuinely don't see anything to be gained by keeping him around.
I don't claim any jurisdiction over Flappy's portion of the stream. However Flappy wants to manage his cytube is up to him. For my part, it sounds like I'm going to spend movie nights for the foreseeable future using nicecrew's wonky moderation tools to kick the same guy out of chat over and over again instead of enjoying the movie, because apparently this guy has nothing better to do with his time than annoy me for no good reason. Hooray.

A recipe showing what “real” bologna is supposed to be, a clip of Jim Carry rapping, a fun Fill In The Blanks word association test, and a video essay by GatorGoatJohnny about Horse Hair that is less than two weeks old and has 190,000 views.
Basically what you'd expect from the internet, it seems.
Rounding out the music selection are a number of songs published in the last few weeks, as well as some older items from months to years ago. There is tonal variety here from the metal of RavenFlight's song Leaders of the Herd to 4everfreebrony & L-Train's Hijinx (feat. All The King's Horses) Funk Rock Fusion, and some Jazz House in Nit & Raxer Sound's “Night Lounge”.
The Farscape episode of the week is the first of a two-parter that follows the Talyn crew again. From the description, it seems they're chasing something on purpose this time. Good luck to them, I hope it works out.

Major pony content includes BGM's Pone Thread Simulator XI.26 from last month, Scootertrix's new video “Environmental Violations”, a comic dub by Scribbler Productions', cottonix's “Sparks HD” video from last year, and a variety of older and newer songs.
I'm going to highlight Koron Korak's Metal cover of Daniel Ingram's “Magic Inside”, featuring Dasha. This is from just earlier today. I haven't seen/heard it yet, but I put it right around the last few entries before Farscape's beginning.
Speaking of Farscape, this week's episode is the second half of a two-parter we started last week. The gist of last week's episode is that the Talyn crew is back on that planet where John spoke with a mechanic who got some of his wormhole readings. The Scarrans are dangerous aliens who are moving a dreadnaught over to the planet to take the information to develop wormhole weaponry, and they're stuck on the planet while needing to prevent the Scarrans from getting the information.
So, that wormhole knowledge that this John has is going to be unlocked and used to build something dangerous.

Hey everyone, just a quick heads up. I'm moving, and today was the only day with decent weather where I was able to get a truck, so I won't be available to stream. On the off chance that I end up finishing before the usual time I might be able to pop in for a portion of whatever you guys end up doing, but since I will still have to set up my internet and computer after getting all of my furniture unloaded, it isn't tremendously likely. So, you guys will most likely be on your own tonight, and we will resume our usual program next week.
