This thread begins with Tracy and Trump stuck in a curious sort of trap, their only hope of escape being Infernius who is operating a control panel with around 40 buttons, only one of which will set them free and most of which result in some form of torture or death. The buttons bear the same obscure script as elsewhere which Infernius couldn't read even if it was comprehensible.
Welcome back to the Nuts RP thread, where we're about to go Saw on 2 of the party members!

>>51280Awwww..
Feel free to pop-in anytime.
>>51284*graciously accepts stick*
>>51290Tracy has that skill maxed-out though.
>>51292>not enough for fash-axesShe's been collecting sticks for a
long time though..
>>51298Some asshole burned a portion of the woods though
>>51296That's not what I was planning
>>51293Infernius hears music emanating from the Rusty Duck, en route to the gestapo headquarters.
>>51298I'm not convinced that she's giving away her collection, I just thought she was giving away sticks cuz got candy.
>>51300Actions have consequences. Live up to them
>>51303Shoot!
That sly filly is saving all of the best sticks for herself
Xp>>51304No U
>>51305All of the characters are spell casters to at least some degree
>>51305Good idea anyway.
All of the PCs know a few spells too. Could you make Tracy a wand of Greater Invisibility?
>>51305You can still do that.
>>51303*hums along to the tune an smiles*
>>51311That's the reason why D&D is not a single player game. You're supposed to play in a party and use each other's strengths to complement
>>51310You said gather a crowd, which in her mind means "Impromptu concert!".
>>51313Its fine. The crowd my be more receptive to my message after theyve heard a good song.
>>51314
Still expensive and abusive when combined with sneak attack
>>51317>abusiveAssassins get Greater Invisibility: they get it so they can get auto-sneaks.
>>51312You hear that whistling sound? It's the sound of the point flying over your head.
Yes it's a multiplayer game, but as last weekend shows the dungeon isn't gonna exactly let all the players stay together.
>>51318Not in 50 charges for free. And I seriously doubt they get it with only 1 level
>>51320Not with only three levels in Black guard
>>51316One? Please! "Your Type" was her second song. She'd just finished her first when she <whooof'd> in to greet Norfilly. She's doing a cover of "Like a Prayer" now, and curiously, ppl in the audience are doing the choral accompaniment.
>>51315"Lies! Best spell is DANCING LIGHTS!"
>>51321The Use Magick Device skill (available to all thief classes) could allow her to cast it with an okay roll.
In all technicality, the wand's spell only has to be on you class's spell list to work.
Thez should be a bard instead of a Sorceror.
>>51326I don't care. Your only intent is to break the game. You try at every possible opportunity to break the game in any way you can fathom, where it be from making new shit up, importing new rules, willfully breaking the rules, finding loopholes, or combining many things at once.
You take such strong advantage of this GM's permissiveness it is appalling
>>51328Idk.. she sounds so fun while she's performing..
>>51329Oh stop it.
I doubt I'm the only rogue who thought of using a Wand of Greater Invisibility. A Ring is better in the practical sense.
>>51329You assume GM's permissiveness isn't part of the Game. If I wanted rule-cuckery, none of this could have happened. Yes, there is something to be said for rules, and there is equal to be said for "noss the rules". Not all the rules of course, but not none either.
>>51332It is. It should not be abused to try to break the game. And he does that
>>51330Its her favorite thing to do
aside from Infernius, and you're right, it makes more sense than "sorceror"
>tfw the board thinks sorcerer is spelled with 2 e's >>51333>break the gameHow exactly has the game been "broken"? It still seems fun and playable to me.
>>51335Because you've been kept in check thus far
>>51336I'm sure GM is more than capable of saying "no" himself when he actually thinks something is a real issue.
Relax.
>>51338Refuted, I would totally allow that combination. Nothing would come of it, but it would be fuel for many keks.
Why is this thread at the top of the overboard? We're at like 800 posts.
[1d100 = 36]Torcuil's faggot crumbles up a piece of paper and throws it away while mumbling "You try and do something nice..."Torc grabs the stuff he needs from the vault, cancels the wand of CMW, presses randomize, and throws the shit in.
You can pick GM; minor, medium, or major. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Wands >>51339I actually thought you would.
It was just a
ironic hypothetical example.
>>51338The problem is that it's hard to anticipate just ezactly what conseqences saying yes to a particular proposition would have. On its face, it may be perfectly reasonable and indeed unobjectionable. but because your entire intent is to break the game, you find ways of combining particular allowances with other things inside and out of the rules in such ways that a deviation has vastly greater effects than previously anticipated. You also ask for so many things that it's easy to boil the frog - to not see just how great of an effect stacking so many new allowances can have
>>51343You and I differ on a fundamental level then.
To me, finding wacky, avant gard ways of haxxing problems with a combination of little things that seemed irrelevant when they were first introduced, is the most fun part of the game for me.
>>51345I've fucking noticed
>seemed irrelevant when introducedNot to you. You plan this shit out ahead
>>51346>You plan this shit out aheadNot very much, tbh, I'm just always considering stuff in the moment.
>>51347I admit I see evidence of that as well
You ask for shitloads of big things
>>51344You cant just ban people you disagree with.
>>51351Did I ban anyone tonight?
>>51344You should attempt to attract a Golden Protector as a cohort, so you can marry Fae off.
>>51353I know but you were tempted to because gm was gonna let tracy do something.
>>51341You assume I haven't done that already
Nigga >>51356Pls use Greater Planar Ally to summon a golden protector to pop Fae's cherry.
>>51359Pretty sire i shouldn't do that if i wish to keep playing.
>>51361Wish my god gave out stuff. I think fae should be removed untill i get something.
I gtg for an hour or so, GM plz check rabbit
>>51362The Cleric is generally agreed as being more powerful than every other class in the game except the druid and maybe the wizard, you have such a bat shit insane strength modifier that you deal more damage than anyone else in the party by a massive magin, you have more hit points than the next two highest players combined, you have a ring of regeneration, you have the best set of ability points of anyone in the party by far, you're allowed to cast spells without having enough wisdom, and you have a full set of followers, very possibly higher than Trumpaladin's, even though you have a lower charisma modifier
>>51363Will do. I'm cooking now anyway, so I'm in and out
>>51364The point still stands mr two suits
>>51367>>51368I was about to chime in until you both started in w/ the "Does too" "Does not" shtick
>>51369My only point is and has been that the guy is
trying intentionally to create easy buttons to situations and show up the rest of the party with advantages, where as the rest of us just play the game
>>51370In case you forgot i never asked for any thing i received.
>>51371Yes. That is my point. You are fine
>>51370Yes, and I have allowed it to such a degree that it allows me to get an idea of what is being overlooked, not considered, and disregarded. Also keks.
If you think its not going to eventually blow up in the face,....
>>51370>show up the rest of the party with advantagesWhat are you talking about? It's not a contest, let alone a PvP game.
>>51375Not that players would PvP even if,....
grumble Crimson Skies grumble >>51370>create easy buttons to situationsThen that means we can go through even harder challenges later-on.
>>51379I do enjoy difficult challenges
>>51383Make a meme of hitler blasting Infernuis.
>>51379Which you will promptly fiat new easy buttons for. Then what was the pint or trying to beau the hand except that we have to play a broken gane? Are you just trying to turn the entire game into you trying to outsmart GM?
>>51384Maybe...
>>51385That makes the game more interesting: seeing if we can somehow slip out of increasingly difficult challenges/puzzles.
>>51381That's a bad idea. There's losing a flight, and then there's fighting Atlas
>>51378I saw that!
>>51385Thats generally what D&D works. The players try to out smart the gm.
>>51386By cheating your way out of it
If you want to show off how clever you are, try to actually be clever. Don't abuse GM's permissiveness
