>>35482*continues grinning at thez*
>>35485"W... what?" she blushes and looks around.
>>35484He flashes a cheesy grin. "Alas, I couldn't find it so I went with Chai."
>>35486"... Chai is good enough. I've been out trying to keep edgy blue stabby pone from killing people"
Looks away for a moment
"Only moderately successful....
What did I miss here? I take it you convinced Infernius and the other guy you weren't going to run or something?"
\r
>>35487"better, he agreed to help get our gold back."
>>35487"Yes, I have graciously accepted their pleads to aid you in your quest to strike back at those nefarious villains who have absconded with your rightful treasure
that I get 5% of." Cheesy grin.
[1d20 = 5]>>35491Her face squints for a moment. <whooof> and she kicks his hooves out from under him, and walks off whistling innocently.
>>35492"
why"
>>35490Detect alignment on this guy
"How are you going to do that and why should we trust you?"
>>35495True Neutral
"With style and finesse, I can assure you!" ^_^
>>35496"he seems like good guy."
*still lying on the floor*
[1d20+23 = 34]You know what? Can I add in a sense motive? Do I need to talk for him for a hell of a lot longer to get anything?
>>35496"How long had you been in Port Barry before we found you?"
>>35496I'm also going to have to have an awkward conversation with Trollestia that will make all of Torcuil's communications with her seem like masterpieces of social interaction
>>35498"Oh you found me right off the bat,... habibi, but you didn't figure out who it was until well after we'd done our business. I mean,... before those dreadful thieves came and absconded with your goods!"
>>35500"Uh huh. How did you lead them to us?"
May as well cast zone of truth
>>35501"We came here tracking the pirate Korak, we didn't even know about you until after we were all settled in." True
>>35502"Where did you come from?
What were your previous interactions with Korak?
How did you then learn about our gold?"
>>35503He sighs consolingly. "I know, you'd love to think that this ship is entirely yours and that no one has
ever used it or knows anything about it, but thats simply not so. Whats more, you went around throwing coin for every trinket we showed you. It doesn't take a genius to realize "Oh hey, maybe they have it in the floating crystal that happens to have an expansive vault that I've never been to before."."
"As for where I come from, that's a very long story that perhaps I'll tell you once I've rested a bit. Some ghastly miscreants had me encased in solid metal for days! Can you imagine?" he says with almost imperceptible sarcasm.
>>35504"I see. I thought you had used magic on the gold I presented you, but what you tell me tells me much as well.
You used this facility before? Can you tell me something, anything, about the previous party and their adventures?"
>>35505"We have additional rooms upstairs that are fairly nice, if you would like one"
GM, before you leave, can I approach Trollestia on an occasion to do it alone? >>35506"I can tell you many things! he assumes a cavalier pose. "But not now. A wonderful evening to you," he says bowing slightly.
>>35507>Approach Trollestia aloneLike, now?
>>35508If he'll let him, Trumpaladin escorts Darkementer to a room
>NowYes...
>>35512Thez wanders in, sees Infernius still lying on the floor, sighs and smiles. "You big oaf." Placing her hand against him, <whooof>.
>>35507Tracy is in the stables, playing with her birds.
After feeding her birds, Tracy plants two of her poles outside the entrance for aesthetics, and gets to work on preparing the fiend corpses, out in front of the stables.
>>35517After butchering the fiend coprses and packaging them in the freezer (the tower does have a freezer, right?), Tracy heads down to the forge to see if those dimerterium shackles were ever finished, and busies herself with making moar knives.
Could she make a few punching daggers barbs/hooks in them to get stuck in her targets' bodies after a Sneak Attack? Pic Semi-related.
>>35520Trumpaladin wants a knife too. A utility knife that can be used to skin hides, draw blood, cut rope, or be used as a dagger when grappled.
"Can I'z have a knife too please?"
*offers knife*
"All my good ones were in my bag at the dome.. I wonder whatever happened to them.."
>>35522*Takes knife from pony*
*Pets pony*
"Don't worry, we'll retrieve them. Even if we didn't, there is much you can make here"
>>35523I wan't planning on having her kill her immediately.Chargers don't advance as cohorts, fyi.
They advance by character class."..~Hmmm..! Well, I'd like to have another crack that place to see what's inside anyway. I already registered, so I think I'll just 'skip' the line next time..."
>>35525When then? It's almost the same in terms of HP, just subtract 8 for +~76HP"As best as we understand the Emperor's scheme, Cardishore is in on some grander conspiracy. We'll return, that is for sure. Given the risks it's best not to do it alone. We have a damned fine lead on those Drow, I suggest we follow that first"
>>35526"They seemed pretty loaded. I wouldn't mind snooping around a bit to see what everyone's so interested in."
pic unrelated
>>35527"Didn't you hear? We already know what they are seeking. they are seeking fame. Validation from others."
>>35520If she crafted those partly out of dimerterium, they could make a great SB for mages and monsters with annoying magick abilities. She only needs one set of shackles now that her dungeon is kill anyway, so may as well make use of the material.
Are there any kind of non-magical weapons like that? Ones made to get caught in an enemy's body for residual damage? In open-world games, weapons that caused enemies to bleed-out were always nifty to me, especially for large or fast targets.
>>35529What is an SB?
You mean like a barbed weapon that causes its target to slowly bleed to death after being hit? That sounds most useful against animals and most useful as an arrow to be shot from a bow. Most targets are either soft enough to kill in one round or are hardy enough that they have all sorts of immunity and damage reduction
>>35530>SBSilver bullet: a crippling attack that nerfs the crap out of an otherwise powerful target
Yeah, it would be best for arrows, but idk how to make a crossbow she can use yet. I just thought of a small dagger that'd be so hooked it'd be difficult to tear up without messing-up the target.
Also, I got those dimerterium ingots a while back, and I want to use them for something.
>>35529I expect there to be a lot of high-tech magical bullshit in Cardishore. It wouldn't hurt to have a nice anti-magic shank to throw in the gears for a Disable Device check.
Dimerterium is the best. I wish they had more options to use it in the Witcher III. The story gave me some ideas though.
>Dimeterium Shackles
The problem is, Lenos hasn't been seen since Kiynen showed up,... and he's the only one who could pull it off atm.
>knives/daggers
Knock yourself out
>>35533She was just seeing if they were laying around since the time she asked (months ago). They're not as important to her now since her dungeon is kill though. Tracking daggers/darts would be more useful at this point, especially if they can interfere with creature's magick abilities.
>Lenos hasn't been seen since Kiynen showed upI ship it.How long has he been gone? About a week give or take?
