From what we know of the story, Cardishore is a center of enemy activity, probably as more or even more than the Court City. ho knows what you could encounter. All sorts of magic barriers and other things are possible.
I kind of want my character to infiltrate by disguising himself as seeking to host a reality TV series....

I'd assume it can't cure Geas, because if it could, the Thez would have have her's removed by it by now. I'd assume curses function similarly, and so can't be removed by it. As for negative level drains, I am really not sure

Well now, there are mass-production machines down in the 'basement (the area between the top and 'bottom' pyriamid, AKA the forge) for making scrolls and potions in quantity, as well as a number of other machines that are more specialized and particular than the ones in the library do NOT ask me "What kind of machines", rather ask "Is there a machine that does blurrrr"

So if I am understanding you correctly, I can ressurrect all of the pirates, have them work at the machines producing items on commission, then sell the items at a special Trump Magical Item retail outlet that fills the void left over by the Drow being kicked out of town, trade a substantial portion of the items to Sparintenar for their manufactured items, and then sell those items in Port barry or where ever we can ship them to?

That's correct, though you'll need a certified magical technician to calibrate and maintain the machines. The machines are - for the most part - a hook allowing players to be creative about getting around limitations on crafting and item production. Nothing too fancy, there'll be no mass production of uber-ness +80 swords of murder, but mass-producing masterwork swords is feasible.
