>>160880Amber peers outside the window. "Do you know if they surrounded the house?"
>>160882One answers
"No. I don't know. They must have spread out at least along the one side before approaching. They have only come through the front, at least so far."
Amber thinks she sees a griffin on the left side moving up, who is in a black uniform, and is possibly police.
[1d3 = 1][1d3 = 2] >>160883Amber looks for a servant's uniform.
>>160884Unfortunately, that is not easily available. Or at least, she does not see one within like of sight.
>>160885Oh well. Anyway, this window is too obvious, best to move to another room.
>>160886You can also roll search, wisdom modifierThe other two griffins are intrigued by the movement, watching Amber go.
The next room over is a sort of study. It exists in a sort of “tower” section; a round room with large windows and a high ceiling. It connects to another room.
>>160887Is it too late to look for such a uniform?
[1d20 = 16] >>160889Yes and no. Amber finds in a drawer in the kitchen the essential clothing and coverings of a cook.
>>160890Good enough, time to wear that then.
>>160891It is so. The primary piece is a shirt with long sleeves, but there is a headdress and pants if desired. The whole outfit is simple white, and appears to be designed to minimize hair and feather spread.
Be advised: this item of clothing does
not have openings for wings. Amber will be unable to fly or use her wings for other purposes.
>>160892Who needs to fly anyway? Now Amber goes into the study and sees what the other room is.
>>160894She enters into a room that appears to be a guest bedroom. It has windows, although with curtains and a large bed with green, floral patterns, as well as a dresser, and two other doors that branch off from it.
>>160864It is so. Silver presumably carries most, snd gives some portion to Khoi to carry.
Next comes the selection of seats.
>>160897Silver looks at the position of the screen and the rows of seats and figures the middle-most seat are probably the best for viewing the movie, if they're open.
>>160898Silver's philosophy towards the movie experience is very different from Dark Star's...
The exact middle row is taken, but it's easy enough to go just above or below. The theater is not unoccupied, but it is not especially crowded.
The creatures, presumably, take their seats.
>>160899Silver smiles at his date after they sit down.
"This is nice, already. I am excited to see movie."
>>160900She sits down in the sit, pulls up the dress with her magic so it doesn't get caught under her, leans back, and looks around. She makes an uncertain smile, which shows her small fangs and front teeth.
>>160901This just makes him smile more. He places a hoof over hers and holds it.
"You have beautiful smile, Khoi."
>>160895Entering this place would probably feel wrong, if there weren't other intruders at the moment. Hiding under the bed could always be an option, though that would be the oldest trick in the book and Amber doesn't do that. Instead, Amber looks through the other two doorways.
>>160903The door on the left: it's a closet. It has a number of clothes, shoes, sheets and such, and is big enough for a griffin to barely squeeze in, but is no walk in closet. The second leads into a sort of small room with a vanity and leading to a bathroom with a shower. This room is not a dead end, but leads through the bathroom into another room it seems. It's more blatantly a recent addition to the house, with tile walls replacing wood.
>>160904That's odd architecture. Amber goes on through the bathroom.
>>160905Past the shower and the toilet (again, obviously not a part of the original construction of the house, and built for a guest rather than a master bathroom, this enters into another bedroom with shelves, a night stand, a (smaller) window, a bed, a small closet, and a door on the right.
>>160906So it's a shared bathroom. Taking care not to be seen through the window, Amber looks to see what's beyond this door.
>>160907This leads into a hallway. The best guess is that this hallway wraps around the house on the opposite side of where the library and the stairway to the basement is.
>>160908That's convenient, being as far away from the police is wise. Amber walks along the hallway, peering out windows to see if there are any griffons outside.
>>160909No griffins are visible. The sound of steps on wood imply that rooms further down the hallway are boot so empty, however.
>>160910Do any of the windows appear to open?
>>160911In the bedroom, there is one window. It seems that by undoing a latch inside, it will unlock and tilt up to open.
>>160912Amber undoes it and climbs outside, checking to make sure it's clear. Does it look like there are any automobiles nearby?
>>160913The short answer is yes. Several are parked outside, never the road
>>160914Do they look like police cars? Where is the car Amber was supposed to take at?
>>160915Yes. There are cars by the road that appear to belong to the police, as well as carts. The car that Amber was supposed to take is pulled in by a tree, over by the driveway, slightly in front of and beside the house.
>>160916Hello! Also
>>160829*with your protection
>>160917Would it be possible to reach that car without being seen?
>>160919"Either way" He says, making a side glance, and trying to not to laugh.
>>160918I think you know what you have to do
>>160920"What have you never platonically shared a room with 2 drunken mares before?"
>>160921"I've never willingly put myself in that situation, no." He says
>>160922Yes, or stealth.
Does Amber have skill points in these? Either way, dexterity
>>160924Unfortunately for Amber, there are two officers outside
[1d20 = 2][1d20 = 11] >>160924>>160925.... But fortunately, they did not seem to hear her
>>160923Dark Night Puts his hoof to his chin in thought
"Why not? They are nice mares."
>>160925There are a lot of police here, and it's unlikely Helm will be able to convince them to leave. Unfortunately, this also means Amber's friends will likely be detained and there is nothing she can do to get them out. It would be wise to drive away, but is the luggage in the car?
>>160927"Don't tell me they just took the alcohol and your room and then didn't give anything in return." He says. At the very end, he looks up to Dark Star
>>160928At least some of it.
"
Pop."
And then
"
Pop Pop."
"
Pop Pop Pop."
>>160929"Well they tried, but i turned them down."
>>160902She looks down to Silver's hoof. Khoi neither grabs Silver's hoof back in kind, nor pulls away, but simply watches Silver's move. Her fur is soft and well kept, as Silver can feel. She briefly moves her eyes up, and says
"Uh, heh. Thank you."
>>160930"Why" He says
>>160932He makes a single nod
"Then why'd you buy then shots and take them up to your room?"
>>160929Best not to tarry. Amber starts the car (probably with the starter handle in the front) and gets in to drive.
>>160934But.... Does Amber know how to drive stick?
>>160933"I'm not sure i understand the question. Baltimare is Dangerous and they had no place to stay."
>>160931Silver is content to sit and wait for the movie while holding his date's hoof, but while he does so he attempts to hear what the other cinema patrons are talking about.
>>160935No, but she's seen others do it. You move it around and you go, right?
>>160936"Alright." He says. "I'll be sure to explain that to your marefriend if she asks." He says, still smiling
>>160938Roll die. Intelligence modifier
>>160939".....I Hope She Doesn't think anything happend."
>>160940>>160943As Amber tries to start the vehicle, she moves the gears, evidently puts the car into Neutral And it falls backwards as it is on an incline, eventually hitting with some force a police vehicle parked inconveniently behind the car.
>>160942"Either she'll never know you took them up there or she'll assume you did
something."
>>160944>>160940Amber hits the vehicle with some force, causing a painful jolt, and making a loud sound.
>>160944>>160945Oops. That will buff out. Time to try again.
[1d20+2 = (2+2) = 4] >>160944"Huh, I used to never understand what my brother meant when He would say "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished." But it think I understand now."
>>160946She almost gets the engine to start. Almost.
But fortunately she manages to get the car off of the police vehicle, and turns it to the left...
Until she hits another police vehicle after.
>>160947Glistening Glass turns to Dark Star and gives him his full attention.
"Dark Star... You don't have to worry at all."
>>160948He Glances Down at the bar.
"I Hope so."
>>160949"I'll cover for you. Hell, those two mares could come back in a year with a foal each asking where they can find the yellow earth pony who used to live here, and I'll tell them all I have is a name."
>>160950 >>160951He Looks up and laughs. "You won't have to worry about that."
He smiles.
"Thank you though. I feel like I can really trust you Mr.Glass."
>>160952He smiles, looking into Dark Night's eyes
"You're welcome."
>>160953He extends his hoof towards Glimmering Glass
>>160950>>160954Amber is able to start the car and put it into
some kind of gear, moving forward.
>>160955He takes his hoof and shakes it. His shake is firm
"Now remember. Use a condom, hide or keep away your valuables, and don't tell them your real name if you haven't already."
>>160956Excellent, excellent, time to coast down the world, enjoy the sunshine and pretend nothing at all has happened.
>>160956He smiles and shakes his head.
"My Pecker is going no where near them wrapped or unwrapped."
He Laughs
>>160957The front of the vehicle is damaged in several areas, and Amber has the vehicle in a very low gear. So....
>>160958"She'll never even know you talked to them." He says, smiling
>>160959Is it possible to make it go faster? Perhaps by raising the gear?
>>160959"They said they were going to be staying a few days, so if they need anything put it on my tab."
>>160960Do you really want to try that?
>>160961His ears go down
"Are you
sure? You just met them."
>>160962"Well yea. i really wish somepony would had done the same for me, when i was younger, and what could possibly go wrong?"
>>160964He blinks, staring right at Dark Night.
".... I'll cut them off if necessary. Keep your valuables away from them, especially while away."
>>160965"Of Course, i'm not That Trusting. Everything valuable is in my bag."
>>160968Seems legit. Everything is fine. The gunshots are getting further away.
>>160967He nods.
"Don't tell them your real name or birthday. Just in case."
>>160969Amber feels sorry for leaving the other griffons back there, but what could she do? She couldn't go into the library or the police would detain her, and hiding wouldn't work because they would probably search the whole manor. There's no way she would want to be around a gunfight for sure, and she hopes no creature got hurt.
>>160970But now, 9s0he is free. Where next?
>>160971He smiles and nods.
"Damn right."
>>160972"Can I talk to you about something school related?"
>>160972That part, she hadn't thought about. After all, another creature was going to drive. But south is where she is supposed to go, right?
>>160973"Sure" He says
>>160974I'll let Amber think about the destination
>>160975"Ok so theres pony....er Mare, there she isn't exactly a pony. She's a bat zebra hybrid. have you ever heard anything about any others like Her?"
>>160976"A bat zebra?" He turns his head briefly away. "I'm not...
sure if I've ever seen a bat and a zebra hybrid. There's a decent number of zonies though. More so now a days. There's a small population of zebras just a little further west that were brought in as laborers centuries ago, there's a few zebras that have come in over the years as foals of sailors and traders, and of course there's a whole bunch of them who immigrated recently. And of course these have made zonies, though zebras tend to stay with zebras. Bats... they mostly keep to themselves down south, mostly, but they've started moving into the city these past few decades. But a bat zony? I...
think I've seen one? Not sure."
>>160977Dark Star has a look of Disgust as he talks about zonies
"Absolutely shameful, having sex with a zigger."
His expression brightens as he mentions seeing a batzebra
"You've seen one? When was this?"
>>160978"I'm trying to think. I may have seen one, an adult, on the street. And I think I've seen an infant. Honestly it isn't always easy to tell. If they don't have wings they will just look like a zony, and if they don't have obviously visible stripes they'll just look like a pony."
>>160979"They Don't all have wings? and Don't all Zebras have stripes?"
>>160980"All bat ponies have wings, but if one or more of the ancestors isn't a bat pony, the foal might not. It's the same as with pegasi mating with other ponies. Zonies will have stripes, yes, but not always the same amount. If it's a low enough zebra mixture they might just look like ponies. And when you're just walking down the street or looking at them from behind the bar it can be hard to get a good look without staring."
>>160981"Interesting I had no idea. Yea my Brother was a Pegasi. So there are hidden zebras among us? Imposters you could say?"
>>160982"Heh heh, no. Zebras will look like zebras."
>>160983"Zebras , zonies. What's the difference really?"
