Silver passes a few more houses, and houses with minor water damage still visible on the first few feet, with a small saloon being the last building on Old Mecc before Main and Old Mech Trail Roads merge and make the bend southwest and ultimately towards the break between the Unicorn and Upper Unicorn ranges. Silver has seen the trail that follows the creak northwest and the path around the hill.
Looking at the dairy plant, he finds that the situation is in many ways like that of the grain elevator down south, with trucks on the side and in front. What is new is the anti-tank gun that faces towards town, and the anti-tank gun that faces away from town, down the valley. The latter is partly behind a truck so as to obscure its presence. Silver can see a number of riflelines have taken up on the roof of the building, as well as around it, around trucks. If Silver is still looking at the Dairy processor, he can see two alleged ponies walk outside... though both carry the changeling machinepistol around slings on their backs. One wears the markings of an Equestrian First Lieutenant. The other wears the markings of a First Sergeant.
Silver is able to go back to his ponies, and they go to the creek, walking on the trail back. The ponies walk around the hill, before starting to climb the hill

The same is true of the anti-tank gun that is visible on this side, which faces down the road. There is a metal shield across the front of it, but as Silver's group has a view down the side, Silver can see it has a full group of three alleged ponies manning it.
Silver can see four alleged ponies by the trucks with rifles. There is a Changeling machine gun, right behind the first truck, and sort of between the two trucks. It looks like this position would be at least partly hidden by the truck if viewed travelling east down Old Mecc. This position is on the ground with two alleged ponies lying prone: a machine gunner and an assistant machine gunner. There is another pony by the truck with a submachine gun.
Nearby both are the two in officer uniforms, walking together between the dairy plant and the trucks, looking at the trucks, and pointing at things.
On the north side of the plant, Silver can see a couple of the alleged ponies looking through a window on the plant. This side of the plant is brick with a few windows, unlike the windowless white colored sections on the west side. Outside is an alleged pony with a submachine gun (changeling make), and four rifleponies. These are standing out in the open. Most importantly, they are looking out in the direction of the hill, in the direction of Silver's ponies, albeit thus far looking at an area lower on the hill.
On top of the plant, there are the three towers. Three changeling drones - not disguised as ponies, but blatantly changeling drones with insect wings - fly up towards the top of the steel cylindrical towers. They have rifles. Another two drones are on top of the roof with a rifle.

At the gun, the alleged ponies remove the cartridge from the gun, one of them tossing the live round far away, while another loads it. The machine gun by the truck trains onto the ambulance, though there is no firing.

Several changelings are shot and take wounds. One changeling - only one - falls down, one of the two creatures on top of the roof towards the northwest edge. It is hit with a hail of machine gun bullets, and its disguise fades away, leaving it as a mangled bug.
At the Anti-tank gun, the gunner and an assistant are hit with bullets. All three creatures try to pull away from the anti-tank gun to run for cover - that being, behind the truck. The third one has to stop, to pick up his rifle that is leaning against the anti-tank gun
The Machine gun that was aimed at the ambulance has its gunner get up, start to run, then go back for the gun, starting to pick it up. It's assistant gunner is shot, stands up with belts of ammunition, and staggers. Both remain in the open.
The pony by the truck dives back into the truck. Of the four rifle ponies by the truck, one is hit not once but twice, and is staggered out in the open. The other three run over to the second, nearer truck to hide behind it as cover.
Of the two ponies in officer uniforms, one of them yells:
"Grabe dich ein und lass sie nicht passieren! Lass sie dafür bezahlen!"
This one opens a door and runs into the building. The other pony in officer's uniform runs over to the truck to hide behind its back
The response is very different over on the North side. The creature with the submachinee gun dives forward into the brush, and yells
"Vom Grat. Zuerst von unten. Sie haben mehrere Maschinengewehre. Unbekannte Nummer. Unterdrückendes Feuer."
From inside the building, there is a
"Dadadadada" as a machine gun opens into the hillside. It fires from through an open window.

The drone in the grass - still wearing the form and uniform of a pony, mind you - is the same drone that launched the grenade that injured two ponies, perhaps killing one of them. He is prone in the low grass and next to sage brush, so it's not the easiest shot to make. Nevertheless, Silver thinks he's hit him
