I was the mod that moved the other thread to /sp/ because I see it as just pure shitposting from both sides of the fence on the stance of glimmer posting. So when I post the .gif ( >>66457 (You) ) it was out of a desire to shitpost and let out a bit of anger for doing exactly what OP wanted and then still making a thread that invited the content he despises.

As for banning certain ponies from the board this directly goes against one of the founding rules /mlpol/ had made before MLPOL.NET was created. "The right of the people to keep and bear ponies shall not be infringed" To those of us who devoutly agree with the United States 2nd amendment we know how slippery a slope it can become if you start putting limitations on things bit by bit. and for this reason I don't agree with banning or limiting glimmer to another board or becoming a bannable offense, however when its a thread that can be considered nothing more that a quick shitpost OP then the rules come into play. Low quality threads are freely allowed on /sp/ but not so much on /mlpol/ moving them in that case falls within the guidelines and rules of the site and will be enforced. but banning Glimmer (the pony) herself is not something I personally (as a user and NOT representing the thoughts of the whole staff) support.

I came from both /pol/ and /mlp/ I know how things can go to shit quick and I understand your fears of this happening to our new home but banning a character we don't like because it MIGHT do something isn't the same as banning content that WILL do something. If it reaches a point where threads are spammed with pro-communist propaganda and shareblue levels of shilling then actions will be taken to prevent it. As for now I think many users are overreacting to a cartoon poner.

What concerns me is all the glimerposters that just post glimmer as bait. Bait and shit posting belong in /sp/.

And if Glimmerniggers lose an argument and realize they just can't continue, the generals get bumped, one after the other, using them as slide threads to bury what they can't handle. That's why they're fighting so hard to get this thread banned and me hated, they want me buried, because they know if they put the shill tactics down and had a proper debate with me, they'd lose. They'd lose, and no amount of mental gymnastics could bring their dangerously low self esteem back to that morning's low level.

You can say they act like this because it's who they are on the inside, or you can say they act like this because it's fun for them, or you can say they act like this because shitty halfchan moderation allows it, the point is that they act in a way that is antithetical to open and honest discussion about politics and ponies. Their behavior is childish, shallow, pathetic, self-congratulatory, and petty. Their arguments are antifa shill-tier. Rather than defending their actions or beliefs, they attack people that have beliefs they don't like. A thread was recently made by discordfags for PR, full of samefags trying to control the narrative and trying to get people to see things their way, rather than the way things are in reality. I repeat, there's a group of people on discord circlejerking over glimmer and trying to dominate discussion on this board and dominate this board until it's as shit as 4/mlp/, a place non-hasdrones left behind for a reason.

Rule 11 and the rule against spamming should already cover this, but maybe not. Which case I would strengthen rule 11, apply it to funposts, and move funposts to /sp/. One thread at all times is enough. Even is this one provocative Glimmerthread, barely anyone talked about the actual pony and mostly focussed on drama related events/people, despite going into the effort to make an actual thread specifically for her.

If a Glimmerthread is not supplied with sufficient ponyrelated content (images, greentext, discussion etc) it is fair to assume that is has been created with malicious intent. If MLPOL has any Glimmersupporters at all, they should prove that they can create and maintain a thread for their pony without having to resort to activities associated with traditional Glimmerposting.

I'd be alright with that. A few days ago, I would have said "No, just hurt the extreme ones by banning glimspam shitposting and banning those who engaged in it and said my name/things that are almost my name", but there'd be a strange beauty to it if they were so cancerous, they permanently got all mention of their waifu banned from the site. They want to dominate all discussion using Glimmer and feel like a winrar for once in their lives, and this would be the perfect punch to their nuts.

The later post, detailing various accounts, was from a Swedish IP that seems to have posted only to make that post. The reason you were banned - I assume - is because while there was a reasonable discussion about the Changeling episode, you started in with personal attacks with no evidence or cause, in a manner that deliberately derailed the course of the thread. If you ever feel that the anons you are observing/arguing with are shills, feel free to report the post, thread, or whatever, they're really good about following up on concerns and they can review an anon's posting history. If nothing comes of it, you can be assured that the people who make it their business to keep this place safe and cozy don't see any particular threat; I've flagged people before which turned out to be nothing.
