>>9375Honestly, season 9 felt like a miracle compared to season 8.
Season 8 deserves a museum exhibit called "How to ruin a successful series!"
But season 9, at least, tried to give the story a proper ending.
Of course, tons of questions were still left unanswered.
King Sombra basically turned into a magical phoenix, dying and coming back stronger every time!
And the villain trio? Turned into stone... which in mlp lore just means "Take a nap, you'll be back someday for sure!"
Now, the worst part: the Young Six.
These guys showed up out of nowhere and suddenly became the heroes!
They only had two seasons, and spent half their time sneaking out of school or losing their homework.
There was no real buildup, no deep story behind them.
Yet somehow, in the final episode, they got a fancy stained-glass window in Twilight's castle, right next to all the true legends!
And what was on it?
Them fighting some weird creature in space...
But we never found out what that creature even was, or why that event was important.
It felt like pure show off: "Look! New heroes too!"
And guess what?
The future of Equestria wasn't even about them!
It was Luster Dawn and her friends who actually carried the legacy forward.
So what were the Young Six exactly?
Just a stupid poster saying: "Diversity and friendship!"
Meanwhile, the show had already taught that lesson way better with hearth's warming eve and the pillars.
Season 9 crossed the finish line, but the Young Six felt like a football team that got a gold medal without even playing a match!
