>>9160So wait, we bolsheviks get TWO new years? Score for us I say!
>>9097The natural, indigenous religion of Equestria appears to be Celestiaism.
>>9182>Religion>PoniesIt's pretty difficult to imagine anything but Harmony being a cultural precept that ponies would 'worship' in any sense. Harmony Ascendent is probably the closest to a religious tone anything in pony society gets.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82prN2pF9Zo [Embed] My religion is Rainbow Dash.
>>9222>Rainbow Dashwhat was her fucking problem?
>>9222Your religion is ego-centrism
>>9228I wonder who is behind this post.
>>9229Let me spell it out for you
>>9222And Rainbow Dash said, "Let there be awesome", and there was awesome. And Rainbow Dash saw that awesome was good, and She separated awesome from lame. Rainbow Dash called the awesome "cool", and the lame She called "boring."
>>9231You know what goes great with Rainbow Dash? The Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos are the best footballing team ever. There is no one on earth who can do footballs as good as the Denver Broncos. Many others have tried and failed to be as football. You think you can football like these guys? Heh, get in line, cuck. Youd need to get up about 12 hours earlier and spend all morning and all afternoon being football to football like the kings of football, the Denver Broncos. seriously fagoot. If footballing was the olympics these guys would be like the John Elway of football olympics. The Denver Broncos are the alpha and the omega of all footballs, the footballs that came first and last and shall be evermore the football. They own footballs now and forever.
>t. Denver Broncos>>9232Oh look who came crawling from the woodwork now that there isn't a whole gaggle of new-friends for him to get embarrassed in front of
>>9202the show has religious over tone
that is the jacob's tree
twilight's cutie marks is just david's star
celestia and luna can be ether yin and yang or ahura and ahraman
the mane 6 are the chakras
there are other stuff as well
the book that helped me to realize those shit is:https://archive.org/details/signs-and-symbols-their-design-and-meaning-by-adrian-frutiger-andrew-bluhm-z-lib.org >>9242Oh what's that? No clever comeback?
>>9244no. what about the chiefs?
>>9240>Tree of harmonyEw.
>Twilight's cutie markLiterally the only way you can draw a 6 pointed star that it wouldn't be David's star.
>ChakrasI dunno about this, but I bet that it's not anything that was on anyone making the show's mind.
>>9291>>9240it's worth noting there are 7 chakras, not 6.
>>9301There's also 8 chakras in several forms of ancient traditions. And while there's a bit of artistic license in that tree of harmony image, I can tell you that the artist at LEAST has a decent understanding of the significance of numbers.
For example, the tree alone has some curious coincidences, depending on how you distinguish positions. Those star-spheres hanging from the branches could adopt significance. For example, 9-oclock could be considered a 2, or it could be part of the 14 at 10-oclock. The smallest grouping occurs at the 11-th hour (3) and then you have 4 on one side of 12 and 6 on the other (a combined 10). Next comes 5 at 1-o, 9 at 2-o, and 12 hanging from 3-o (more like 3:30, but meh).
At 4:30-5 we have,... another six. And on the opposite side we have a third 6, ending with 13 for fluttershy.
So either we have: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 9, 10 (if you count the 2 at the top), 12, 13, and 14.
I could probably derive more numbers from it if I kept digging, and I'm not suggesting these details are all deliberate, but some definitely are
>>9305i'm with northy on this, i doubt the creators had anything like that in mind.
>>9309The creators no, I'm talking about that specific image
>>9313it was not the point tho
i am talking about symbolism and writers beliefs and interest being put in the show
i think this pony is allegedly Jesus
and so far every kisses in the show were when the characters were getting married which can be because of age rating
but
there is also a scene were lyra and bonbon (two female ponies) are purposing to each others and there is a few frame on a news paper about them getting married
so i do not think it is completely christian show
believe or not the show was progressive and it was ahead of its time
Hi everybody!
I hope you're all having a good day and enjoying the board.

>>9327at first i was like, what other thread? then i remembered it was the 4chan one i've been tirelessly keeping alive for a decade.
>>9328I check that thread 1st, since its in danger of sliding, but if its been bumped recently I go over this board before anything else
>>9329thanks for all your help.
>>9330Eh, its a gesture of appreciation from me. ^_~
>>9331much appreciated. how's it going?
>>9337It's a 4, but it will get better when I start cooking in a bit
what's the deal with that Lazarus anime?
>pic unrelated
Has anyone been up to anything cool or interesting lately?
I haven't built any models lately, so I purchased pic related at a hobby store I frequent.
my phone updated itself overnight, and now is letting me know about all the cool new AI features i'll have to instantly turn off. thanks for trying to reassign my power button again.
>>9352you're lucky to have a shop like that around.
>>9354I really, really do not enjoy mobile phones updating and using "AI" to underscore its pitifully obsolete features. Maybe I really like having a simple phone that needn't be outfitted with needless slop for once.
Do you like science fiction models, Smokey?
>>9356yeah, i've built a few of them over the years. lately i've downloaded a few different kits to print out with my 3d printer, but getting all the parts prepped seems like it's going to be a nightmare.
A mention of science-fiction was made, and it made me think of my pet theory, certainly shared by a few, that Equestria exists in a post-heat_death universe.
One of the places you see that explained in uncomfortable detail, is the web comic, now fairly hard to find officially, "the night the magic died"
What's the common opinion around here of why the sun is so easy to move around without catastrophic consequences to the poor earth ponies?
>>9358And may the Fourth be with you.
>>9357What filament material will you be using? I know people have leaked entire gunpla moulds before. Third party firms that dealt with resin are taking this approach as well, and the results are fantastic.
Also, I wouldn't sweat parts preparation - 3D printing is out of my wheelhouse, but trimming flash, sanding, gluing and test fitting isn't as difficult as it seems. Just please wear your half-mask and goggles if you work with resin, as the resulting dust can give you cancer.
>>9358Could you elaborate?
>>9359>>9360Reee hee hee, not notice what day it is. Unaware that the 4th today is.
>>9360But I like her! Especially, y'know...at night when we're all in bed.
>>9361>Could you elaborate?Post, meaning after, heat-death, meaning there's no pools of heat left anywhere with which to do work, such as raising the temperature on the surface of the planet.
The stars died long ago. Maybe the unicorn magic pulled from their underpinnings, accelerating their demise, but no matter. The sun went out long, LONG ago.
The unicorns have created a false sun, just above the atmposphere, and for kicks we add some sparkly dots to the heat shield. The shield is needed to slow how fast our ground cools since six miles up its a quarter of a Kelvin above absolute zero. The dots are to remind us there used to be other suns, too. Of course the commoners just think they're real stars, and name the constellations after the seasons when the alicorns chooose that arrangement.
The commoners need something to believe in, so we don't exactly correct them.
[Read more] >>9363That's an interesting perspective, but isn't Equestria capable of industrial civilisation in some respects? If one can assemble and look through a telescope, or use higher magnification lenses at an observatory, wouldn't that demonstrate any cosmological shortcomings?
I wanted to write that the existence of magic itself has fundamentally altered the nature and perception of reality itself so as to permit a geocentric solar system, but I think this idea lacks depth and nuance compared to your theory.
I'm reminded of my favourite book, The Night Land, wherein the last dregs of pure humanity are mustered inside a gigantic glowing pyramidal citadel called the Great Redoubt. For a novel written at the turn of the last century it had some fascinating workarounds for a universe increasingly devoid of sunlight and even stars, replete with horrifying creatures that slowly encroach on mankind's domain. What you've written seems like a much more optimistic (albeit duplicitous) answer to heat death.
>>9361i'm using PLA. i tried using ABS and PLA+ but didn't have much luck. there's little lines on everything a 3d printer makes, and depending on the size of the print and the material, they can be really obvious. there's ways to get rid of them, it's just extra work.
>>9366PostHeatDeath Anon, saying "PETG"
I've got a couple nice prints, and have never had good results from PLA, and PLA+ killed my printer once. But PETG is really nice.
Pictures if I find them ... I should have a few.
