OFFICIAL PONY BREAD. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL PONY BREAD; IF YOU FIND ANOTHER THREAD, REDIRECT THEM HERE!
Every pony equal. Every pony Loved. You don’t have to have a tripcode to be a brony, it’s just for fun.
Love, Tolerance, Friendship and Kindness are the most important things a brony can have, let’s spread some joy and post some ponies!
>>7415are you willing to tell me why you don't like /mlp/ yet?
>>7415>making a new thread when your old thread won't hit the archive for daysWhy?
>>7420>>7417welcome to the new thread!
>>74174/mlp doesn't allow community threads like this one, it goes against the rules. The one where it has to be show related. But it's only enforced against things the mods don't like. Since this thread and the fandom originated from /b/ mods want to whitewash history and ban our threads.
>>7420Because page 7 and a day worth of being autosaged is long enough. You want to make the first 20 posts about it to really make it an official thread?
>>7427>You don't understand, we HAVE to be on the front page 24/7 because...well, just because, okay?!
>>7427>4/mlp doesn't allow community threads like this one, it goes against the rules. The one where it has to be show related. But it's only enforced against things the mods don't like. Since this thread and the fandom originated from /b/ mods want to whitewash history and ban our threads.fair enough, I often thought they should allow 1 community general
>>7420Because it's a tripnigger.
>>7428we're glad you're here.

>>7429What can I say, old habits die hard. You think after about 170 months anons would get used to it.

Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a good day.
I like ponies so much it hurts
72 UIDs in the previous thread.
>>7444I have a lot of phones
>>7441I don't have all my pony memes on my new computer. forgive me anon-sama. and thanks for delivering it.
>>7444That number doesn't account for vpns, fyi
hmm, HDDs aren't supposed to sound like a geiger counter. i don't think i'll be liberating any dolphin porn from this trashpile laptop.
>>7451the last time we could even count UIDs on 4chan was a while back. i think we topped out at 25 or so in the threads on trash.
>>7427It's not against the rules, apparently, because my threads didn't get mod deleted, despite being spammed a lot.
>>7429>>7420Because if you hadn't noticed, waiting for it to nearly fall off leaves it open for bs to happen to it.
>>7432I was trying to make one, and the mods seemed okay with it, even if it was getting a lot of spam.
>>7428>>7435We really are. This is how these work. It's not an insular community, you're more than welcome here.
>>7437>170 monthsOw, my soul.
>>7442Pretty decent one, how are you doin'?
>>7450I'm having this issue myself, though really it's that my storage drive failed, and I'm finalizing my new computer build before getting the data off it and the even older computer.
>>7455>>7451Good to know it doesn't account for VPNs. I remember our throughput back in the day was about 6000 unique posters a day... what a time.
>>7468>waiting for it to nearly fall off leaves it open for bs to happen to it.Yeah, god forbid someone other than the usual tripniggers makes a new thread. Can't let anyone who isn't a member of the circlejerk try to but in where they don't belong.
>>7468I just wanted to say that's the cutest Ronbo Dosh I've ever seen. That's all. :D
>>7470We have tried to let anons do it but they like to delete them and/or they get banned in another thread and all there posts from that IP gets nuked including the OP of our community thread. Smokey has been doing it for a VERY long time and we know it's a solid OP. Get over it nerd.
>>7455Fair. Aside from sessions in the RP threads, we were averaging 7-100/day on average, outside of a happening. Now we're coming in around low 1k
>>7476Sorry, that was posts, not UIDs
i wish twilight wore glasses more
>>7455>HDDs>in 2025The fuck you playing at dude? get a cheap SSD
>>7479this is some old piece of crap that my friend brought me. he found it in a junk pile. i was just searching it for porn, as is the standard arrangement i have with my friend when he locates these things.
>>7476i hope those people stick around once 4chan comes back. i'm certainly planning on it. 4chan had their chance. they treat pony posters like second class citizens when theirs was among the most popular on the site.
found another one.

So have you guys actually produced anything or...?
>>7492Just the fandom, why do you ask?
>>7479I exclusively use HDDs.
>>7492We produced the entire community, sonny. Literally. Think about any old pony image you've ever seen. There's about an 80% chance it was pushed through our segment of the community back in the day and about a 20% chance it was made by Smokey himself.

https://bronies.fandom.com/wiki/Northern_Wind?action=historyHave the edit history on the old pony page that was made for my old OC before I started using it as me instead back in the day, dating back to Feb 2011 (when the wiki was created).
>>7501Welcome back. Good to see you.
>>7502On good days I'm allowed to crawl out of my cell in hell.
How are you doing?
>>7501i'm glad you chose to join us here. you can see i was calling for you in the previous thread:
>>7436
>>7504I know. Hazel and Northy told me about it, but I wasn't doing well. so instead of whine, being miserable and whine for attention. I took it up the ass, meditated and focused on playing with my new airgun.
How are you doing?
>>7505Heya! how are you doing?
>>7506i'm well enough. just working on a few things. i held off on posting the rest of these screwball pics until i saw you again.
>>7503Hard to complain too much. Hope you're feeling better.
at one point we had an "anti brony" pasta that i had edited to include a link to a folder that was supposed to be filled with gore to spam us with. the archive was not, in fact, filled with gore.

>>7514But how can it be a circlejerk if anyone and everyone is welcome?

>>7507Yay! evil pone commanding a tank!
>>7508Yeah I am. today was a nice day and I'm happy with my new commission of my girl duchess.
>>7468So you're admitting to being a spamming faggot. And you wonder why nobody likes tripshits.
>>7522have you been having a good 4chan vacation?
>>7524The thread was being spammed by other idiots on the board, not me spamming threads. Pull your head out of your ass and take reading comprehension 101 as a remedial class sometime.
>>7526Yeah! I rescued the cat of a neighbor but the bastard scratched my right cheek really good. it was holy week so I went to church with my mom. Also look at what I got.
>>7499>whoa we're retarded spammersNice legacy retard. you never made any meaningful contribution
i wonder if my banned trip works here
>>7537>retarded spammersWe had one thread on /b/, at all times. It was the most popular place to be in the pony community during all of 2011 (and one of the most popular until it finally got the boot from GR15) and it did a lot more for the community than anywhere else did in that time. That's all that's claimed, and that's what is 100% true.
ah, it's like an old pair of shoes.
>>7533is that the commission? it looks great.
>>7539Nice!

>>7551that should be a fun one. did your neighbor thank you for rescuing their cat? or were you rescuing the cat from the neighbor?
Daily reminder that this is what best pony looks like
>>7567I got a really nice strawberry pudding she baked for me. No. my neighbor and her husband left early in the morning, when I was going to school. but her cats escaped thorough the day. when I was watering my plants, I saw her cat fighting to death a cat that killed one of my stray cats a year or two ago. I ran towards them stop the fight, but they kept trying to kill each other. I grabbed her cat and tossed him away to stop the fight, but he was like a hellcat and got 5 claws on my face, thankfully he ran away back to his house.

>>7593are those good? i've actually never owned a japanese car.
>>7594I've read that they are reliable. we didn't either but after the Corolla and the Versa we are really happy with them the versa is manual and super fun to drive the Corolla is a bit boring tho. too bad manuals are dying.

>>7612thanks, this batch came out really well. the 70's BMW i learned to drive in had an awesome manual. very stiff racing clutch in that car.
>>7575Oh DAMN Joe Satriani. Love Joe Satriani.
I'll make my own contribution to this topic. That reminds me, I need to finish the painting of Rainbow Dash I was doing inspired by this song. Grats. You've got me off my ass.

You guys should RETVRN to your ancestral motherland of 4chan. That's the best place to do your immensely important work of keeping a community thread running.
>>7900I like it here tho, we can run two threads for the time being.
>>7900Nigger, you clearly don't grasp what is happening, even if 4chan does stop choking on their relaunch. Sneed

Hey, I'm back. Sorry about bein' gone all day. How is everyone doing?
>>8069They're back on /trash/
>>8069just getting ready for bed.
Jk guys, we are moving to leftypol ;)
>>8076>leftypolGoodbye and don't let the door hits you in your way out.
why do leftists even bother having a pol? theirs is the approved normie ideology. they can just say what they believe on a regular site and not get banned.
8ch seemed pretty alive enough for furfags to move there. Not that I went there fursonally. I sample this place infrequently enough that my Nyquist bandwidth could easily miss 4c's downtime.
and before someone chimes in with "but we believe super EXTREME lefty views." just wait five years and they'll be mainstream.
>>8089i eventually settled here because i found some of people were already around. it's pretty nice here. it lets you upload mp3 files which is fun.
That sounds problematic for the same reason audio is disabled on /b/ webms
>>8091i like it since i have a lot of rare mp3 files.
>>8092Tell me about them.
All I've got is 2009 music rips from youtube.
>>8093some are old enough to have been traded on napster. but i also do have a lot of youtube rips.
>>8094Napster. Kazaa. Limewire. I was on the internet when these were popular, but did not get into them.
My way of reliving that WinXP era is by watching anime of the time. For some reason, their art and music styles capture that era well.
>>8096those places were fun. i forget which one had a chat feature. i think it was napster. totally unmoderated, had a lot of good drunken flame wars on that. i also unintentionally trolled a lot of people by disconnecting my shitty dial up connection when they were in the process of getting some file from me.
You all speak like furries. You all act like furries. You all think like furries.
That's because I am a furry.
>implying I am not a furry
>>8102You're not alone, but don't get it in your head that this is a furry safespace, it very much is antagonistic to furries, and thats how we like it
>>8108Uhm, the prevailing users of the site
>>8108The Royal We, man, the editorial.
>>8111No no, I mean the site. The site is adversarial to furries. They only put up with me because I know where the bodies are buried
You fags should take this bullshit to xitter or bluesky. It's just as public, so you can't complain about it not being open to everyone.
>>8125You're awfully accommodating
>>8120Or what?
Apologies gents
>>8120No seriously, what do you intend to do to discourage this behavior? Surely you thought to operate from a position of power before making demands? Oh, you didn't? Did you not check the sign on the door? Have fun with all that.
Will any of you Anons be returning to /trash/?
It's so funny how the migration went. At first I was excited for an influx of new users, but /mlp/ and the other boards are back up. I wonder if anyone who arrived will bother to stay.
>>8142>Will any of you Anons be returning to /trash/?Never went there in the first place.
>I wonder if anyone who arrived will bother to stay.I shan't be going back to that gilded cage.
>>8143Sorry, I keep forgetting there are tripfags here and should have specified. I was curious if these threads would be deemed redundant now that /trash/ is back.
>I shan't be going back to that gilded cage.At any rate, I hope you enjoyed yourself here. I'm happy we had some new blood here, if only for a small while.
>>8144>I was curious if these threads would be deemed redundant now that /trash/ is back.I imagine they will be used less and less over time, as it appears most of the posters have gone home. Time will tell, I suppose.
>At any rate, I hope you enjoyed yourself here.Thoroughly enjoyable, just need to figure where I'm gonna put the coffee table. I'm staying.
>>8145>Thoroughly enjoyable, just need to figure where I'm gonna put the coffee table. I'm staying.Hooray! What's your favourite board, Anon?
>>8142this place will be a more stable hangout considering it isn't at constant risk of being buried under a deluge of furry porn. redundant maybe, but who cares. the threads at trash were once just a redundant bunker when we were hosted at 8chan. i didn't even see the value of setting up there at first. the janny leaks however proved, it's actually the last bastion of unjannied ruination on 4chan. only one guy was watching, and he takes a hands off approach.
>>8147All of them! Saddens me that /cyb/ is so dead though. Not a popular topic for some I guess?
>>8149>8chanI really do miss the original. During its heydey I used to visit boards like /christian/ fairly often. That was nearly ten years ago, isn't it funny how fast time goes?
Anyhow I hope we get to talk more and share interests regarding ponies. I hope you're having a great day.
>>8153/cyb/ is amazing. I think it used to be a hidden board at first before it became normalised. I loved the thread involving the work of cyberpunk author Tsutomu Nihei, who was the writer and artist for BLAME!, one of my favourite comics.
Do you have any cool technology-related interests? I love robots and AI.
i move that we table the age old debate over tripfaggotry once again without acknowledging that, yes, it is in fact a valid way for groups to maintain a cohesive structure across multiple platforms over many years without ever having to register accounts or divulge their actual identities.
the real question is, if my cat wants to eat dog food and my dog wants to eat cat food, why do i have to buy two different kinds of pet food? clearly they have the same taste. let's open the floor to debate on the morality of cats eating dog food.
>>8154eh, they had us corralled over there. it was cozy for sure, we had a cyclical thread so no one ever had to bake. but that place also had some dark secrets, and more intrigue than i cared for us to be caught in.
>>8154>I loved the thread involving the work of cyberpunk author Tsutomu Nihei, who was the writer and artist for BLAME!, one of my favourite comics.I'll need to check that out, cheers lad.
>Do you have any cool technology-related interests? I love robots and AI.Just tech in general. Right to repair, OPSEC etc. I like AI, if I'm the one hosting the models,, unfortunately a lot of companies will use AI in everything they can. I was round a friends earlier today to help them repair their TV (turns out they had unplugged the ethernet) and I saw a little 'AI Enabled' notification pop up in the corner. Took a closer look at the remote and there was a little microphone near the top. Had the cunt apart and desoldered in 10 minutes.
>>8155I don't really have an issue with tripfagging, it's mostly the fact that I was taught to never utilise it (or avatarfagging, for that matter.) Tripfags and avatarfags are part and parcel of the subculture and it doesn't really bother me, inasmuch as these sorts of social threads don't rustle my figurative jimmies. If the mods tolerate it, then I can be told to give a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut. A flying fuck at the moon, if you will.
>the real question is, if my cat wants to eat dog food and my dog wants to eat cat food, why do i have to buy two different kinds of pet food? clearly they have the same taste. let's open the floor to debate on the morality of cats eating dog food.I'm not certain if you're being serious or not, but I read that it's ill-advised to give cats dog food and vice versa, if only because nutrient requirements will go unmet. I think you could get away with a few times if you were lazy (or desperate,) but I was told to never feed cats dog food, lest they go blind or worse. You could argue that with all the filler and otherwise ersatz materials used for pet foods that both are basically interchangeable, but I'd not risk it.
>dark secretsAnd then some. I felt upset at seeing it go, but perhaps it was for the best.
>>8156Mate, let me know if you need any pointers regarding Nihei's work. I would recommend you read NOiSE, BLAME!, NetSphere Engineer and BLAME!Squared to start. There's also a motion picture that loosely adapts part of the seminal manga itself with its own little changes you might find interesting.
>Right to repair, OPSEC etcI like these too. I wish there was a mobile phone that you could purchase spare parts for and load Linux distros onto, with physical killswitches. Like a pinephone but not as esoteric and more accessible. OPSEC seems like a super deep subject and it's mildly intimidating, but part of the fun regarding technology is how we adapt to and reverse engineer various concepts before applying them meaningfully. Moreso since privacy is becoming more and more scarce.
>Had the cunt apart and desoldered in 10 minutes.Impressive, and good on you for looking out for your friend. I hate newer TVs and computers in general and want to keep my current rig as long as humanly possible.
>>8163the dog will eat out of the garbage if i let her, but i was shocked to see the cat seemingly picking at the dog's food bowl while the enormous dog towered over her, waiting patiently. she will only eat certain things. maybe it was just a dominance display.

>OPSECFor most people, yes, it is quite a deep subject. It requires an amalgamation of different skills with every word and action, depending on how much you want to offset leakage. It's certainly more difficult than doing nothing, and as we saw with COVID, people are more than happy to trade freedom for convenience.
>good on you for looking out for your friend.I advise people I appreciate to be aware of the technology and intentions of corporation services they are using, and encourage them to limit it if not outright drop it. My family blew a gasket when I ditched WhatsApp the moment they brought out that AI assistant, then asked for alternatives after they realised their amazon app notifications were influenced by their conversations...

>>8174>NetSphere Engineer sounds very Lain. If you could provide a chronological order, that'd be useful. I just did son. I anticipated this question, hence why I suggested NOiSE (the prequel to BLAME!) BLAME! itself, then the other two. Netsphere Engineer is eerily reminiscent of Lain if it were taken to its logical conclusion - it takes place well after BLAME!, as does BLAME!Squared. The last two are one-shots that give you a perspective of this world after the protagonist, Killy, embarks on his mission to salvage mankind. If all this whets your appetite, also check out Nihei's other works, like Knights of Sidonia (which became a kickass anime series, would recommend twice over as well.)
>wiphoneInstant favourite, thanks bruv.

>>8222I dunno man, maybe I really am. Sometimes I think I've gone soft or have become out of touch. I'm not entirely inured to the drama you're describing, but these guys have been fairly tame. >>8396Some aspie followed us over from /mlp/. He got obliterated in a debate with Northern Wind and made some big show about leaving here a couple threads ago. Then he tried to sneak back in but was easily identified by his odd dialect. He's our new thread pet. I call him Friendo, but he also has a couple garbage names he's given himself that don't matter.
what did you guys do to make this "chronic" person so mad?
>>8493I can only speak to a chronic cough
>>8493never heard of him.
>>8496"Chronic" is one of the names i saw people throwing in the mlp thread. Is he someone who has a vendetta against northern or is it another random name like norre. This feels targeted. They keep throwing red herrings. The person doing this is a clear as day schizo.
>>8498>random namescript detected
>>8498just more bullshit like the norre thing. we've never had anyone of that name around.
>>8500>authoritive voice>weVery organic

>>8500
>>8503>8PPHHmm, I don't think I will
>>8500Another red herring. This person keeps adopting identities to masquerade as other posters. One identity it likes rainbow dash, another it likes cheerilee, another vinyl scratch. Throwing random names like chronic, norre, bitey.
>>8505regard them. acknowledge them. save the screenshot for posterity.
>>8506weird guy. imagine liking rainbow dash.

>>8502>We never had anyone of that name aroundNobody put on the name 'chronic' in the thread, for sure. Using "we" as a general term for all threadposters, "we" didn't have anyone around there who used the name Chronic. That good enough wording for you?
In my experience, "chronic" refers to weed. But apparently an anon has decided to be a problem, so good morning
>>8532>"chronic" refers to weedFirst time I've heard it used in that context, but I'm not part of the dudeweedlmao culture.
>>8494It was the joke I made here. Chronic was a 90's-00's slang for weed, you can hear it referenced in alot of the rap culture from the time
>why would you listen to rap culture from the time>indeed you shouldn't listen to rap culture from the time, unless you really wanted to catch my referenceObviously, "chronic" referring to a persisting ailment or set of symptoms, the 90's decided to correlate the idea of "chronic cough" with the cough derived from smoking copious amounts of weed. Ergo
Damn, being self contained 1 thread at a time seems to irritate some peculiar vindicating anon to no ends, the only point I'd partially agree with some of the haters would be to wait for bump limit before making at new thread at least. I guess he is addicted to drama posting, meta whoring and can't fathom the possibility a namefag/tripfag culture prior to the board /mlp/ that existed on the /b/ thread about ponies. I made it a spoiler for extra annoyance to the vindictive anon, meaning he has to go out of his way to vilify and read post he can ignore with his vitriolic vomit, enjoy.
Good morning everyone. Still putting up with the stalker schizo?
>>8583we're enjoying him while we can. guys like that are fairly ephemeral in these threads.
>>8538We wait until well after bump limit to make new threads. On /mlp/ I was waiting until Page 10, but then someone tried to hijack the thread, so now I'm going to wait until like page 5 after bump limit from now on.
>>8610Unfortunately there's not a lot of Jack Spicers or Insiders these days. Mores the pity, they don't make trolls like they used to.

theyre stupid but not that dumb
>>8676i say just make your new thread as soon as the old one hits bump limit. it's about asserting dominance. retard clowns are going to complain either way. they would bitch if you waited to the point that the new thread you make pushes the old one off page 10. they would bitch if they woke up in the morning and tasted oxygen.
>>8717That's just bot-kun. There's several versions, but one of them posts to the thread at the top of the overboard
>>8720As much as that makes sense, I'm also not going to do that because I don't want to give these assholes a reason to actually bitch to the mods.
>>8720>Just be a nigger who cares about the rest of the board lolexD
>>8722i respect your direction, and you've stated those threads are your project. just be aware that turds like this guy will simply make reasons up even if you go out of your way to not give them any.
>>8733Seconded, never underestimate the ingenuity of people who want to stir shit
>>8734there's something to be said for smashing resistance. give the complainer so many things to complain about, that their NPC brain resets. they're lucky northern takes a softer touch. this group isn't a monolith. we all have our own style of how we do things.
>>8736If I can't maintain the old ideas, then "What would even be the point?", is my response. I care about everypony, even those that come by just to be asshats. I'm not here to make their days more miserable than they already obviously are.
>>8737just because they're being smashed doesn't mean they aren't being loved. it's tough love. but you're right, these people don't need to be any more miserable.
>>8736You sound like a commie.
>>8739Do validate that point
>>8740he has no point. he's just here to fling shit. he can't even tell you why he hates tripfags so much, and he's had three threads to do it. he's shelled out his empty rhetoric long enough that any pretense of anonymity is gone for him. he might as well have given himself a name if he was going to darken our doorstep this long.
>>8741Oh I know, but public shaming is a particular favorite tactic ^_~
>>8741You keep giving everyone more reasons to hate trips
>>8744you hate tripfags because you lose arguments to them. that's my take, based on observation.
>>8747Not true. He actually likes tripfags, because they grant him a semblence of relevancy, in allowing him to justify ranting about things on the internet.
Remember: You can ascertain far more about a person by observing the circumstances they affect for themselves than listening to what they say.

We post ponies while doing so. Hell, the post of mine you linked there has three of them.
>>8771you will never see me refer to a pony as a mare. that's a shitty mlp meme.
>>8786Nta but well to be fair they arent ponies, they are mini-horses (size is different)
But yeah when did the mare thing became a thing?
>>8786>>8787>mare /mâr/>noun>1. An adult female horse or the adult female of other equine species.>2. The female of the horse and other equine quadrupeds.

Man, wish there were more ponified icons you can use for videogames.
>>8810Like, icons you click on to launch an .exe of a game?
>>8814Could you not tweak the system files of a certain game and replace the icon with a customised image?
>>8815Well ye, just recall someone did ponified icons for some games. But sadly not all of 'em.
>>8816AI generated images are all the rage now - perhaps you could utilise a pony-specific image model to create icons to your taste?
I only ever play STALKER these days. What kinds of games would you like pony icons for?
>>8817Let's seee...I guess Helldivers 2, MGS3, Jagged Alliance 3 and Hunt Showdown
>>8818The only one I'm familiar with is MGS3. Perhaps Fluttershy with Naked Snake's bandana and a cigarette in her mouth?
I'm very fond of MGS2 myself. The original Metal Gear 2 has also captivated me.
>>8814there are sites that will convert any image to an .ico file. that's all icons are.

>>8819Lol, ironically I have a few icons that do have the flutterhose. Specially RE4 one and Mass Effect

>>8797I forgot /mlp/ is so new, I guess that answers my question, it's something that started happening around the time the bandwagon started.
Not a bad thing, I guess, but I forgot /mlp/ was built on top of cancer.
>>8823given that the mysterious MARE do well is one of the most hated episodes in the history of that board, it's not surprising the search results are polluted and useless.
>>8828I don't feel strongly about it, but I'm going to contest your point. My frame of reference starts in '17, so you're welcome to dismiss it, but I see no problem with the term Mare OR Pony. Pony is fun in alot of ways, alluding to the rhythmic nature of 2s (recall the pony pony song I posted a few days ago). On the other hand, Mare is a single syllable, almost like a spoken "Period". Pony pony pony pony mares mares mares mares mares.
>>8830i only noticed when some con did a pony preservation panel hosted by ponibooru. it was the first time i'd been on /mlp/ in years. whatever you want to say is fine. i just think it's interesting that didn't transfer at all to me outside of the board. speaks to how little interaction i have with mlpers.
>>8837Until the 4chan Cup victory a month or so ago, I hadn't browsed /mlp/ since /mlpol/ was deleted off 4chan; I was resentful at the lack of support/participation from them when this board was founded and throughout the years. In spite of this, I NEVER miss a 4chan cup, and MARES-posting is something of a tradition, usually with the sunbeam emoji and the derpy "safest" emoji, which is where I became aware of the Mares meme at all. Additionally, there's the influence of artists such as Vultrex, who provide content that fuels autistic proclivities, and there you have it.

>>8837This is a very interesting subject, Smokey. I for one can't believe how hostile /mlp/ has gotten to the traditional fandom terms like Everypony and Anypony.
>>8913jeez, that's sad. some people just want stuff to complain about. the problem with 4chan in general is that pretty much any of the topic boards eventually devolve into a circlejerk of hate. one huge drawback of anonymity that is never discussed is how easy it makes consensus cracking. and since it's easier to hate than it is to love, it's easier to consensus crack a group into hating something than it is into loving it.
>>8914Yup. I often remarked there, "This is 4chan. Hating things is kind of our schtick."
I still don't feel like going back there.
>>8764But enough about what tripshits haven't brought to the table.
>>8747That was another thing about 4chan I was none to fond of.
Mostly I just want to post cute ponies and stuff, not enter into a debate about which mare one would let lick your asscrack.

>>8919>>8920>>8934>Not coomersMaybe you guys aren't so bad after all. Trips are still queer though.
>>8945Trips are a historically relevant part of pony culture, which is the primary reason why we still use them.
>>8792It started on the /mlp/ rewatch stream threads in early 2021 and spread from there, and adding to that, snowpity was something some ESL wrote and it was made into a joke of giving different answers on what a snowpity is to fuck with anyone asking, with the benefit of helping expose offboarders a bit, there is an agreed upon definition adopted later on that is along the lines of "the essence of mare", but those asking will still get different answers like before. That year looking back felt like a sort of renaissance with fresh new content like the first antithology, the birth of snowmares (pic related, was a draw thread delivery of second pic, everyone went crazy over them and it even spread a bit to the wider fandom), the start of game servers like TF2 and GMod, the AI shit before it went mainstream, /mlp/con's second year, that's from what I can remember on top of my head.
>>8830>I see no problem with the term Mare OR PonyOh I see no problem either, I was just wondering when did it start.
>>8954Thanks for the answer!
>the start of game servers like TF2 and GModI think you mean revival, there was a huge overlap between TF2, GMOD, Ponies and electroswing (for some reason).

Its ridiculous how fucked the american economy is. I'm getting my driveway paved so I decided to see how much it would cost me to buy the 3in Holland paver stones from home depot and for about 7800sqft of my driveway it comes out to almost 120k, so instead I called a company in mexico and found the SAME stones for only 22k, plus about 7k for the tarrifs and logistics. And then they want to bring manufacturing back when retarded people in the us think their time is worth more than 7 dollars an hr....
Let me explain to you how fucked the US is using a perfect real-world example.
In my local town there's a Buffet place that I worked at for a while. Shining gem of the town, everyone goes there every weekend, they've kept the same prices and the same food for over 25 years.
Sounds great on paper doesn't it?
Well here's the thing. They can afford to have not changed prices - cuz don't tell me the cost of ingredients HASN'T changed in that 25 years - because with the exception of ONE GUY (other than me) the entire kitchen staff are illegal.
What this guy has been doing is taking the proceeds from not paying for his workers properly and reinvesting it into their bottom line, thus artificially inflating the solvency of the business. Over time, this has a draining effect on other local businesses who eventually go out of business, to the point that the only business that can really compete is the Chinese buffet, who have their own game going. See, they have a family member who works at Tyson, who offers at-cost cases of chicken to employees and family members.
So the chinese are gaming the system one way, the jewish white guy is gaming the system another way, so that no one can compete and everything stagnates.
Oh but don't tell the locals. It doesn't matter that it's all true, all that matters to them is cheap fried chicken and catfish. And crawfish on Fri/Sat

So now you're witnessing this site in more of it's ordinary state. There is an observable group that makes this board their home board even though most posters and lurkers are off doing other things or inhabiting other areas of the internet. Dedicated autists, if things of significance, banter, fun, or whatever occurs, it will be brought here and posted, but (mostly) the incessant drive for fast-paced 4chan shenanigens are things we grew out of. We're also painfully aware (as is much of 4chan now, one hopes) of how artificial a NOT insignificant percentage of the posts there are, as well as who is behind it. It's kind of funny, because all this donkey show hack situation has ACTUALLY done is give confirmation to many/most (if not all) of the speculations, assessments, and predictions about 4chan and moderation from myself and others back when this site was founded.
Mlpol doesn't want to replace 4chan by any means/measure, just to preserve and hold space for some of the finer aspects of the community; case in point, if 4chan got shut down and suddenly there's a whole contingent of homeless horse enthusiasts.

>ChakrasI dunno about this, but I bet that it's not anything that was on anyone making the show's mind.
>>9291>>9240it's worth noting there are 7 chakras, not 6.
>>9301There's also 8 chakras in several forms of ancient traditions. And while there's a bit of artistic license in that tree of harmony image, I can tell you that the artist at LEAST has a decent understanding of the significance of numbers.
For example, the tree alone has some curious coincidences, depending on how you distinguish positions. Those star-spheres hanging from the branches could adopt significance. For example, 9-oclock could be considered a 2, or it could be part of the 14 at 10-oclock. The smallest grouping occurs at the 11-th hour (3) and then you have 4 on one side of 12 and 6 on the other (a combined 10). Next comes 5 at 1-o, 9 at 2-o, and 12 hanging from 3-o (more like 3:30, but meh).
At 4:30-5 we have,... another six. And on the opposite side we have a third 6, ending with 13 for fluttershy.
So either we have: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 9, 10 (if you count the 2 at the top), 12, 13, and 14.
I could probably derive more numbers from it if I kept digging, and I'm not suggesting these details are all deliberate, but some definitely are

and so far every kisses in the show were when the characters were getting married which can be because of age rating
but
there is also a scene were lyra and bonbon (two female ponies) are purposing to each others and there is a few frame on a news paper about them getting married
so i do not think it is completely christian show

I haven't built any models lately, so I purchased pic related at a hobby store I frequent.
my phone updated itself overnight, and now is letting me know about all the cool new AI features i'll have to instantly turn off. thanks for trying to reassign my power button again.
>>9352you're lucky to have a shop like that around.
>>9354I really, really do not enjoy mobile phones updating and using "AI" to underscore its pitifully obsolete features. Maybe I really like having a simple phone that needn't be outfitted with needless slop for once.
Do you like science fiction models, Smokey?
>>9356yeah, i've built a few of them over the years. lately i've downloaded a few different kits to print out with my 3d printer, but getting all the parts prepped seems like it's going to be a nightmare.
A mention of science-fiction was made, and it made me think of my pet theory, certainly shared by a few, that Equestria exists in a post-heat_death universe.
One of the places you see that explained in uncomfortable detail, is the web comic, now fairly hard to find officially, "the night the magic died"

The unicorns have created a false sun, just above the atmposphere, and for kicks we add some sparkly dots to the heat shield. The shield is needed to slow how fast our ground cools since six miles up its a quarter of a Kelvin above absolute zero. The dots are to remind us there used to be other suns, too. Of course the commoners just think they're real stars, and name the constellations after the seasons when the alicorns chooose that arrangement.
The commoners need something to believe in, so we don't exactly correct them.
>>9363That's an interesting perspective, but isn't Equestria capable of industrial civilisation in some respects? If one can assemble and look through a telescope, or use higher magnification lenses at an observatory, wouldn't that demonstrate any cosmological shortcomings?
I wanted to write that the existence of magic itself has fundamentally altered the nature and perception of reality itself so as to permit a geocentric solar system, but I think this idea lacks depth and nuance compared to your theory.
I'm reminded of my favourite book, The Night Land, wherein the last dregs of pure humanity are mustered inside a gigantic glowing pyramidal citadel called the Great Redoubt. For a novel written at the turn of the last century it had some fascinating workarounds for a universe increasingly devoid of sunlight and even stars, replete with horrifying creatures that slowly encroach on mankind's domain. What you've written seems like a much more optimistic (albeit duplicitous) answer to heat death.
>>9361i'm using PLA. i tried using ABS and PLA+ but didn't have much luck. there's little lines on everything a 3d printer makes, and depending on the size of the print and the material, they can be really obvious. there's ways to get rid of them, it's just extra work.
>>9366PostHeatDeath Anon, saying "PETG"
I've got a couple nice prints, and have never had good results from PLA, and PLA+ killed my printer once. But PETG is really nice.
Pictures if I find them ... I should have a few.
>>9366I don't really mind it. When I build kits I have to remove seam lines by using adhesive and a hobby knife/sanding block, I have to trim flash on moulded parts, I have to prime, paint, varnish, et cetera. Is it time-consuming? Yes. Is it autistic? Absolutely. Is it fulfilling? I would think so. In a way I think such fine, meticulous work confers character.
From there you start looking into things like kitbashing, scratchbuilding, panel lining...one reason why I haven't caught on to 3D printing is because I find it less satisfying and predictable than plates of polystyrene, glue and polyester putty. At some point I want to involve CAD suites and vernier calipers. Maybe even a slide rule.
>>9367i've heard good things about PETG, i just haven't tried it yet.

>>9451yes please. how's it going?
>>9453Doing great. Anyways, story time. Back in my days, I befriended the local schoolyard seagulls over the year by giving them food from the random student trays littering all all over the place, it was so bad it went on the news. I was just chilling with my friend when this literal stereotypical popular bully girl using her connection to squash other starting to fling shit at us and trying to use her tenure to get her ways, little did she knew back then, I spoke the language of seagulls. I tell my friend not to worry, I got this. I take loaf of bread, wave it around toward the literal army of seagulls loitering around, aim it toward that annoying cunt and throw it at her. I shit you not, all the seagull flew toward her, it was a literal tornado of seagulls converging like an inverse scone toward their target. She was screaming her soul off, having seagull shit on her head, fleeing the encounter back inside the school. After the incident, I was nicknamed the seagull king to not be trifled with. I always had disney princess power with my calm body language and slow movement. It is a memory I hold dear of how ultimately, chaos and animal bounding can pierce the hierarchy of society into my favor.

i noticed it breaks the auto update on the thread when i upload audio files. tested on the two systems i load this thread on.
>>9469>when i upload audioMy personal experience has been it always breaks when "I" post, never you some other Anon posts.
Two ways around that, click 'update' *then* click 'reload' along the bottom, or mash F5. Or wait until someone responds to you because that will show both their reply and the post of yours they're replying to. Or close the thread do work, sleep, eat, you know live your life, then come back and look at the thread anew.
I was going to 'break' the thread by posting "bad apple" redone using show clips, recoded after downloading from Tridashie's YT) but even shrunken it's 32MB and I don't want to choke this small site.
Yet.

>>9529Uncontestably, but yes, bump-criteria doesn't fit like it does on /trash/.
Appreciating (truly) the appeal of "Where's the thread at, gotta bump it", this is a place where you needn't feel any compulsion to do so. I'll still bump the shrine-thread, but this is more a space where (carrying the metaphor) you could make sand-sculptures in peace
>>9530yes, i do understand this is a slower site. i was mainly checking to see if it had broken or something. good to see it's still going.
IS it all still bumpin' here?
>>9678Nah, bump limit seems to be 400
i saw an AI-summarized outline of a youtube video during my eternal doom scroll through hell. it said "we can't ignore the sad truth of guy fieri's life anymore." apparently the man is a drunk.
i beg to differ on the video's assessment. guy fieri could have a tequila-fueled crash out on the sidewalk in front of me, and i would step over him with my primary concern being to not get puke on my shoes. the real question is, when did the words any and more become fused together as one?
>>9681Surely you're familiar with the world's smallest fiddle

>>9763I'm okay. I'm glad this thread is still here, it's nice to meet up and chat with people once in a while.
Have any of you migrated back to /trash/?
>>9764yeah, we're on trash too. it's not a big deal to have two threads, especially when this one doesn't need much attention to stay alive. the thread on trash actually started as a backup of our thread on the original 8chan, long ago.
>>9764There's this amazing feature with modern browsers. You can have tabs open at multiple sites at the SAME TIME! I know right??
>>9693I don't mind it either. I am curious how this thread will diverge, if at all.
>>9766I'm aware, Anon. I just never visit /trash/ unless oddly specific and esoteric subjects need be explored, and it's been a mighty long time since I needed that board as a reference. Furthermore, /mlpol/ has been my stomping ground for years now. I feel like I would be imposing on the /trash/ thread if I did visit.
Besides, it's nice to bump threads like these and check in.
>>9768Ah. Well, there's more activity in the /trash/ thread, on principle that it needs to be bumped periodically
>>9681>guy fieriI used to live in Ferndale. Guy grew up there. In high school he would get drunk and ride his dirt bike up and down main street at midnight. He was generally disliked before he became famous. I've never met him, his mom is nice though.
He used to like coming to the Ferndale Fair every year. They put up a big poster of him once, for his visit, and I remember some kids drew a bunch of dicks all over it with Sharpies. There were cocks on his cheeks, they were pissing in his mouth. Big black dicks were jizzing in his ears. They took it down the next day.
>>9870Guy Fieri always came across as a insufferable douchebag. Glad to hear my discernment is working

>>9877that's all people want, bias confirmation. no one wants to be told the thing they like is bad. they want grease-filled shit fried in liquor and server in a dish that's on fire. and the portions big enough that if they finish it, it's free.
