>>8108Uhm, the prevailing users of the site
>>8108The Royal We, man, the editorial.
>>8111No no, I mean the site. The site is adversarial to furries. They only put up with me because I know where the bodies are buried
You fags should take this bullshit to xitter or bluesky. It's just as public, so you can't complain about it not being open to everyone.
>>8125You're awfully accommodating
>>8120Or what? Apologies gents
>>8120No seriously, what do you intend to do to discourage this behavior? Surely you thought to operate from a position of power before making demands? Oh, you didn't? Did you not check the sign on the door? Have fun with all that.
Will any of you Anons be returning to /trash/?
It's so funny how the migration went. At first I was excited for an influx of new users, but /mlp/ and the other boards are back up. I wonder if anyone who arrived will bother to stay.
>>8142>Will any of you Anons be returning to /trash/?Never went there in the first place.
>I wonder if anyone who arrived will bother to stay.I shan't be going back to that gilded cage.
>>8143Sorry, I keep forgetting there are tripfags here and should have specified. I was curious if these threads would be deemed redundant now that /trash/ is back.
>I shan't be going back to that gilded cage.At any rate, I hope you enjoyed yourself here. I'm happy we had some new blood here, if only for a small while.
>>8144>I was curious if these threads would be deemed redundant now that /trash/ is back.I imagine they will be used less and less over time, as it appears most of the posters have gone home. Time will tell, I suppose.
>At any rate, I hope you enjoyed yourself here.Thoroughly enjoyable, just need to figure where I'm gonna put the coffee table. I'm staying.
>>8145>Thoroughly enjoyable, just need to figure where I'm gonna put the coffee table. I'm staying.Hooray! What's your favourite board, Anon?
>>8142this place will be a more stable hangout considering it isn't at constant risk of being buried under a deluge of furry porn. redundant maybe, but who cares. the threads at trash were once just a redundant bunker when we were hosted at 8chan. i didn't even see the value of setting up there at first. the janny leaks however proved, it's actually the last bastion of unjannied ruination on 4chan. only one guy was watching, and he takes a hands off approach.
>>8147All of them! Saddens me that /cyb/ is so dead though. Not a popular topic for some I guess?
>>8149>8chanI really do miss the original. During its heydey I used to visit boards like /christian/ fairly often. That was nearly ten years ago, isn't it funny how fast time goes?
Anyhow I hope we get to talk more and share interests regarding ponies. I hope you're having a great day.
>>8153/cyb/ is amazing. I think it used to be a hidden board at first before it became normalised. I loved the thread involving the work of cyberpunk author Tsutomu Nihei, who was the writer and artist for BLAME!, one of my favourite comics.
Do you have any cool technology-related interests? I love robots and AI.
i move that we table the age old debate over tripfaggotry once again without acknowledging that, yes, it is in fact a valid way for groups to maintain a cohesive structure across multiple platforms over many years without ever having to register accounts or divulge their actual identities.
the real question is, if my cat wants to eat dog food and my dog wants to eat cat food, why do i have to buy two different kinds of pet food? clearly they have the same taste. let's open the floor to debate on the morality of cats eating dog food.
>>8154eh, they had us corralled over there. it was cozy for sure, we had a cyclical thread so no one ever had to bake. but that place also had some dark secrets, and more intrigue than i cared for us to be caught in.
>>8154>I loved the thread involving the work of cyberpunk author Tsutomu Nihei, who was the writer and artist for BLAME!, one of my favourite comics.I'll need to check that out, cheers lad.
>Do you have any cool technology-related interests? I love robots and AI.Just tech in general. Right to repair, OPSEC etc. I like AI, if I'm the one hosting the models,, unfortunately a lot of companies will use AI in everything they can. I was round a friends earlier today to help them repair their TV (turns out they had unplugged the ethernet) and I saw a little 'AI Enabled' notification pop up in the corner. Took a closer look at the remote and there was a little microphone near the top. Had the cunt apart and desoldered in 10 minutes.
>>8155I don't really have an issue with tripfagging, it's mostly the fact that I was taught to never utilise it (or avatarfagging, for that matter.) Tripfags and avatarfags are part and parcel of the subculture and it doesn't really bother me, inasmuch as these sorts of social threads don't rustle my figurative jimmies. If the mods tolerate it, then I can be told to give a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut. A flying fuck at the moon, if you will.
>the real question is, if my cat wants to eat dog food and my dog wants to eat cat food, why do i have to buy two different kinds of pet food? clearly they have the same taste. let's open the floor to debate on the morality of cats eating dog food.I'm not certain if you're being serious or not, but I read that it's ill-advised to give cats dog food and vice versa, if only because nutrient requirements will go unmet. I think you could get away with a few times if you were lazy (or desperate,) but I was told to never feed cats dog food, lest they go blind or worse. You could argue that with all the filler and otherwise ersatz materials used for pet foods that both are basically interchangeable, but I'd not risk it.
>dark secretsAnd then some. I felt upset at seeing it go, but perhaps it was for the best.
>>8156Mate, let me know if you need any pointers regarding Nihei's work. I would recommend you read NOiSE, BLAME!, NetSphere Engineer and BLAME!Squared to start. There's also a motion picture that loosely adapts part of the seminal manga itself with its own little changes you might find interesting.
>Right to repair, OPSEC etcI like these too. I wish there was a mobile phone that you could purchase spare parts for and load Linux distros onto, with physical killswitches. Like a pinephone but not as esoteric and more accessible. OPSEC seems like a super deep subject and it's mildly intimidating, but part of the fun regarding technology is how we adapt to and reverse engineer various concepts before applying them meaningfully. Moreso since privacy is becoming more and more scarce.
>Had the cunt apart and desoldered in 10 minutes.Impressive, and good on you for looking out for your friend. I hate newer TVs and computers in general and want to keep my current rig as long as humanly possible.

>>8090>It's nice hereI agree. This place ain't bad.

>pinephonehttps://www.wiphone.io/ comes to mind.
>OPSECFor most people, yes, it is quite a deep subject. It requires an amalgamation of different skills with every word and action, depending on how much you want to offset leakage. It's certainly more difficult than doing nothing, and as we saw with COVID, people are more than happy to trade freedom for convenience.
>good on you for looking out for your friend.I advise people I appreciate to be aware of the technology and intentions of corporation services they are using, and encourage them to limit it if not outright drop it. My family blew a gasket when I ditched WhatsApp the moment they brought out that AI assistant, then asked for alternatives after they realised their amazon app notifications were influenced by their conversations...

>triptard on /mlp/ claims to be a oldfag and tries making a “community general” that mimics /b/-/soc/ faggotry>make fun of tripfag, janny gets triggered, I eat a 3 day b&>multiple anons use the same name as the tripfag and pretend to be him, which is hilarious as he gets more and more infuriated>watch the tripfaggot lose his shit when a new thread is made by anon despite the thread he’s in also being started by anon>AAIIEE REPORT THE HECKIN IMPOSTER ITS NOT FAIR WAAHHH!!! >4ch immediately goes down shortly after which is coincidental timing >>8222NTA, but no u. Outside of this thread, there is no tripfagging, and outside of staff
I'M the only one who namefags, and thats only when anon wants to try and play some sort of stupid "hurr we're anonymous" game. No one is trying to insert a tripcode into your butthole, you could just avoid the thread entirely.
>>8228he must still be butthurt about not being able to misdirect us into a troll thread so he could delete it. oh man, NO ONE ever thought of that before. it was the one thing we didn't plan for. i bet he legitimately felt like a genius when he came up with that plan. golf clap for his two functioning braincells.
>>8249He's gonna get more butthurt if he keeps on. Playtime is over, we're not the refugee camp anymore.
>>8250he has to prove how not butthurt he is by following us across two chans and pitching a pants-shitting tantrum over the concept of talking with names. imagine even trying to explain this guy's grievance to a normie. that's why i love imageboards.
>>8228>>8249>>8250>self faggingI’m sorry you started the thread as anon, then threw a tantrum when another anon started the same thread as anon.
>>8261You really aren't any good at this
>>8272lol, better make that one braincell.
>>8261Hey, moron. Starting the thread as anon was an effort to not make it about me. You and your dipshit kind are now demonstrating that tripfagging is necessary to avoid your dumb shit. Congrats, now the thread gets less anon because of (you), lol. As I said back on 4chan though, I'm gonna give it a few days for the regulars to come back.
>>8289>are now demonstrating that tripfagging is necessary to avoid your dumb shit.I think Reddit is more your speed, friendo.
>>8174>NetSphere Engineer sounds very Lain. If you could provide a chronological order, that'd be useful. I just did son. I anticipated this question, hence why I suggested NOiSE (the prequel to BLAME!) BLAME! itself, then the other two. Netsphere Engineer is eerily reminiscent of Lain if it were taken to its logical conclusion - it takes place well after BLAME!, as does BLAME!Squared. The last two are one-shots that give you a perspective of this world after the protagonist, Killy, embarks on his mission to salvage mankind. If all this whets your appetite, also check out Nihei's other works, like Knights of Sidonia (which became a kickass anime series, would recommend twice over as well.)
>wiphoneInstant favourite, thanks bruv.
>depending on how much you want to offset leakageI'm more interested in obfuscation and spoofing myself. I can't escape nation-state security (not that I'd be of interest anyhow,) but I'd like to better sidestep wannabe hackers and other skiddies. Just enough to rend myself from complete normalfag status.
>My daily driver is a 20 year old 32bit laptop I found in skip. I love the prospect of dumpster diving. Preventing waste and encouraging efficiency borders on obsession for me.
>>8222I dunno man, maybe I really am. Sometimes I think I've gone soft or have become out of touch. I'm not entirely inured to the drama you're describing, but these guys have been fairly tame. I've been in the presence of self-important namefags before, and the experience left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I promised to never treat people that way, be they anonymous or not.
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good day.
Vid unrelated.

>>8368I know, right? It's pretty ridiculous how small the clique trying to fuck with my thread really was.

>>8396Some aspie followed us over from /mlp/. He got obliterated in a debate with Northern Wind and made some big show about leaving here a couple threads ago. Then he tried to sneak back in but was easily identified by his odd dialect. He's our new thread pet. I call him Friendo, but he also has a couple garbage names he's given himself that don't matter.
what did you guys do to make this "chronic" person so mad?
