>>8493I can only speak to a chronic cough
>>8496"Chronic" is one of the names i saw people throwing in the mlp thread. Is he someone who has a vendetta against northern or is it another random name like norre. This feels targeted. They keep throwing red herrings. The person doing this is a clear as day schizo.
>>8498just more bullshit like the norre thing. we've never had anyone of that name around.
>>8503>8PPHHmm, I don't think I will
>>8500Another red herring. This person keeps adopting identities to masquerade as other posters. One identity it likes rainbow dash, another it likes cheerilee, another vinyl scratch. Throwing random names like chronic, norre, bitey.
>>8505regard them. acknowledge them. save the screenshot for posterity.
>>8506weird guy. imagine liking rainbow dash.
>>8505Are you not going to acknowledge the beautiful, beautiful, 8500 number? That’s a mid thousand number. It’s like super dubs.
>>8508Rainbow Dash is best pony you philistine.
>>8511I mean, somepony has to let them know they are wrong.
>>8502>We never had anyone of that name aroundNobody put on the name 'chronic' in the thread, for sure. Using "we" as a general term for all threadposters, "we" didn't have anyone around there who used the name Chronic. That good enough wording for you?
In my experience, "chronic" refers to weed. But apparently an anon has decided to be a problem, so good morning
>>8532>"chronic" refers to weedFirst time I've heard it used in that context, but I'm not part of the dudeweedlmao culture.
>>8494It was the joke I made here. Chronic was a 90's-00's slang for weed, you can hear it referenced in alot of the rap culture from the time
>why would you listen to rap culture from the time>indeed you shouldn't listen to rap culture from the time, unless you really wanted to catch my referenceObviously, "chronic" referring to a persisting ailment or set of symptoms, the 90's decided to correlate the idea of "chronic cough" with the cough derived from smoking copious amounts of weed. Ergo
Damn, being self contained 1 thread at a time seems to irritate some peculiar vindicating anon to no ends, the only point I'd partially agree with some of the haters would be to wait for bump limit before making at new thread at least. I guess he is addicted to drama posting, meta whoring and can't fathom the possibility a namefag/tripfag culture prior to the board /mlp/ that existed on the /b/ thread about ponies. I made it a spoiler for extra annoyance to the vindictive anon, meaning he has to go out of his way to vilify and read post he can ignore with his vitriolic vomit, enjoy.
Good morning everyone. Still putting up with the stalker schizo?
>>8583we're enjoying him while we can. guys like that are fairly ephemeral in these threads.
>>8538We wait until well after bump limit to make new threads. On /mlp/ I was waiting until Page 10, but then someone tried to hijack the thread, so now I'm going to wait until like page 5 after bump limit from now on.
>>8610Unfortunately there's not a lot of Jack Spicers or Insiders these days. Mores the pity, they don't make trolls like they used to.
>>8715
>shilling to tripfags
theyre stupid but not that dumb
>>8676i say just make your new thread as soon as the old one hits bump limit. it's about asserting dominance. retard clowns are going to complain either way. they would bitch if you waited to the point that the new thread you make pushes the old one off page 10. they would bitch if they woke up in the morning and tasted oxygen.
>>8717That's just bot-kun. There's several versions, but one of them posts to the thread at the top of the overboard
>>8720As much as that makes sense, I'm also not going to do that because I don't want to give these assholes a reason to actually bitch to the mods.
>>8722i respect your direction, and you've stated those threads are your project. just be aware that turds like this guy will simply make reasons up even if you go out of your way to not give them any.
>>8733Seconded, never underestimate the ingenuity of people who want to stir shit
>>8734there's something to be said for smashing resistance. give the complainer so many things to complain about, that their NPC brain resets. they're lucky northern takes a softer touch. this group isn't a monolith. we all have our own style of how we do things.
>>8736If I can't maintain the old ideas, then "What would even be the point?", is my response. I care about everypony, even those that come by just to be asshats. I'm not here to make their days more miserable than they already obviously are.
>>8737just because they're being smashed doesn't mean they aren't being loved. it's tough love. but you're right, these people don't need to be any more miserable.
>>8740he has no point. he's just here to fling shit. he can't even tell you why he hates tripfags so much, and he's had three threads to do it. he's shelled out his empty rhetoric long enough that any pretense of anonymity is gone for him. he might as well have given himself a name if he was going to darken our doorstep this long.
>>8741Oh I know, but public shaming is a particular favorite tactic ^_~
>>8741You keep giving everyone more reasons to hate trips
>>8744you hate tripfags because you lose arguments to them. that's my take, based on observation.
>>8747Not true. He actually likes tripfags, because they grant him a semblence of relevancy, in allowing him to justify ranting about things on the internet.
Remember: You can ascertain far more about a person by observing the circumstances they affect for themselves than listening to what they say.
idk how uuids work it looks like this isnt one poster
>>8750UUIDs are very limited, VPNs or even intermittent cell service can trigger a new ID
Every post in this thread has been me.
>>8747It's generous to call these 'arguments', IMO.
>>8764Let's not speak of what we call the "kid's table" when the kids are asleep Xp
Are you retards incapable of ignoring these faggots' obvious bait?
>>8767Technically speaking, "incapable of ignoring" is an accurate statement. I can't resist the impulse to make them amusing, assuming they aren't by nature
>>8610>>8720>>8733>>8736>>8738>>8741>>8747>>8764Where’s the ponies? I thought you guys moved on from the stupid drama instead of just continually posting about it instead of mares or what you like about MLP
>>8771You realize that this is pony community discussion, right? People here are partaking in talking about the pony community and the absolute state of it, ATM.
We post ponies while doing so. Hell, the post of mine you linked there has three of them.
>>8771you will never see me refer to a pony as a mare. that's a shitty mlp meme.
>>8786Nta but well to be fair they arent ponies, they are mini-horses (size is different)
But yeah when did the mare thing became a thing?
>>8789good example of what happens when autism gets corralled to the point where it starts to eat itself. they want to accentuate the sexuality of the ponies without violating the rules of their blue board.
>>8789I know what mare, filly and colt means
Filly and colt were more or less always in use but i domt recall the word mare from when i was actually active
When did they start calling ponies mares thats what im asking.
>>8793so, sometime in the last couple years.
>>8797i wouldn't know. i don't post there. it's certainly a tell for identifying people who do.
>>8799Alternatively, you're just wrong. Given by the absolute disregard for basic logic as presented in
>>7540 I really shouldn't be surprised.
>>8803this trip banned on 4chan. mlpol doesn't support the same character sets for trips, so there was a chance it wouldn't work.
just out of curiosity, do you have a fist-sized hole in your brain from huffing paint thinner? that's kind of how you're presenting yourself in interactions with me.
Man, wish there were more ponified icons you can use for videogames.
>>8810Like, icons you click on to launch an .exe of a game?
>>8814Could you not tweak the system files of a certain game and replace the icon with a customised image?
>>8815Well ye, just recall someone did ponified icons for some games. But sadly not all of 'em.
>>8816AI generated images are all the rage now - perhaps you could utilise a pony-specific image model to create icons to your taste?
I only ever play STALKER these days. What kinds of games would you like pony icons for?
>>8817Let's seee...I guess Helldivers 2, MGS3, Jagged Alliance 3 and Hunt Showdown
>>8818The only one I'm familiar with is MGS3. Perhaps Fluttershy with Naked Snake's bandana and a cigarette in her mouth?
I'm very fond of MGS2 myself. The original Metal Gear 2 has also captivated me.
>>8814there are sites that will convert any image to an .ico file. that's all icons are.
>>8820Huh, didn't know that. Guess can use those easily thens.
>>8819Lol, ironically I have a few icons that do have the flutterhose. Specially RE4 one and Mass Effect
>>8821i think it's just a matter of them being the right size. 48x48 pixels is how big all mine are. just convert a transparent png that's been resized.
>>8797I forgot /mlp/ is so new, I guess that answers my question, it's something that started happening around the time the bandwagon started.
Not a bad thing, I guess, but I forgot /mlp/ was built on top of cancer.
>>8823given that the mysterious MARE do well is one of the most hated episodes in the history of that board, it's not surprising the search results are polluted and useless.
>>8828I don't feel strongly about it, but I'm going to contest your point. My frame of reference starts in '17, so you're welcome to dismiss it, but I see no problem with the term Mare OR Pony. Pony is fun in alot of ways, alluding to the rhythmic nature of 2s (recall the pony pony song I posted a few days ago). On the other hand, Mare is a single syllable, almost like a spoken "Period". Pony pony pony pony mares mares mares mares mares.
>>8830i only noticed when some con did a pony preservation panel hosted by ponibooru. it was the first time i'd been on /mlp/ in years. whatever you want to say is fine. i just think it's interesting that didn't transfer at all to me outside of the board. speaks to how little interaction i have with mlpers.
>>8837Until the 4chan Cup victory a month or so ago, I hadn't browsed /mlp/ since /mlpol/ was deleted off 4chan; I was resentful at the lack of support/participation from them when this board was founded and throughout the years. In spite of this, I NEVER miss a 4chan cup, and MARES-posting is something of a tradition, usually with the sunbeam emoji and the derpy "safest" emoji, which is where I became aware of the Mares meme at all. Additionally, there's the influence of artists such as Vultrex, who provide content that fuels autistic proclivities, and there you have it.

[Embed] >>8837This is a very interesting subject, Smokey. I for one can't believe how hostile /mlp/ has gotten to the traditional fandom terms like Everypony and Anypony.
>>8913jeez, that's sad. some people just want stuff to complain about. the problem with 4chan in general is that pretty much any of the topic boards eventually devolve into a circlejerk of hate. one huge drawback of anonymity that is never discussed is how easy it makes consensus cracking. and since it's easier to hate than it is to love, it's easier to consensus crack a group into hating something than it is into loving it.
>>8914Yup. I often remarked there, "This is 4chan. Hating things is kind of our schtick."
I still don't feel like going back there.
>>8764But enough about what tripshits haven't brought to the table.
>>8747That was another thing about 4chan I was none to fond of.
Mostly I just want to post cute ponies and stuff, not enter into a debate about which mare one would let lick your asscrack.
>>8919indeed. some people get confused and angry when i tell them i enjoy the show without fetishizing it. they scream at me to gen r34 for them.
>>8919>>8920Drama is part of /mlp/ and we should own it.
>>8927I accept that the game exists, that does't mean I have to play.
>>8919I agree. It's best to focus on ponies and community, rather than endless fetishposting.
>>8927Agreed. Speaking of which...
>>8917>"Tripshits"What are you, a baby? What the hell kind of insult is that? Weak.
>>8919>>8920>>8934>Not coomersMaybe you guys aren't so bad after all. Trips are still queer though.
>>8945Trips are a historically relevant part of pony culture, which is the primary reason why we still use them.
>>8792It started on the /mlp/ rewatch stream threads in early 2021 and spread from there, and adding to that, snowpity was something some ESL wrote and it was made into a joke of giving different answers on what a snowpity is to fuck with anyone asking, with the benefit of helping expose offboarders a bit, there is an agreed upon definition adopted later on that is along the lines of "the essence of mare", but those asking will still get different answers like before. That year looking back felt like a sort of renaissance with fresh new content like the first antithology, the birth of snowmares (pic related, was a draw thread delivery of second pic, everyone went crazy over them and it even spread a bit to the wider fandom), the start of game servers like TF2 and GMod, the AI shit before it went mainstream, /mlp/con's second year, that's from what I can remember on top of my head.
>>8830>I see no problem with the term Mare OR PonyOh I see no problem either, I was just wondering when did it start.
>>8954Thanks for the answer!
>the start of game servers like TF2 and GModI think you mean revival, there was a huge overlap between TF2, GMOD, Ponies and electroswing (for some reason).
>>8920>some people get confused and angry when i tell them i enjoy the show without fetishizing it. they scream at me to gen r34 for them.Man, how things have changed...
Remember when clopping was bad and controversial?
People used to "come out" as cloppers. Nowadays its just assumed.
>>8950ok
>>8959their demoralized brains can't understand the concept of an image existing without its sole purpose being to serve as jackoff fodder.
>>8970don't know wtf u guys are talking about but that pic of sugar bell is cute af
>>8970I just like shitposting the most outrageous shit I can think of
>>8971thanks. sugar belle is adorable.
Its ridiculous how fucked the american economy is. I'm getting my driveway paved so I decided to see how much it would cost me to buy the 3in Holland paver stones from home depot and for about 7800sqft of my driveway it comes out to almost 120k, so instead I called a company in mexico and found the SAME stones for only 22k, plus about 7k for the tarrifs and logistics. And then they want to bring manufacturing back when retarded people in the us think their time is worth more than 7 dollars an hr....
Let me explain to you how fucked the US is using a perfect real-world example.
In my local town there's a Buffet place that I worked at for a while. Shining gem of the town, everyone goes there every weekend, they've kept the same prices and the same food for over 25 years.
Sounds great on paper doesn't it?
Well here's the thing. They can afford to have not changed prices - cuz don't tell me the cost of ingredients HASN'T changed in that 25 years - because with the exception of ONE GUY (other than me) the entire kitchen staff are illegal.
What this guy has been doing is taking the proceeds from not paying for his workers properly and reinvesting it into their bottom line, thus artificially inflating the solvency of the business. Over time, this has a draining effect on other local businesses who eventually go out of business, to the point that the only business that can really compete is the Chinese buffet, who have their own game going. See, they have a family member who works at Tyson, who offers at-cost cases of chicken to employees and family members.
So the chinese are gaming the system one way, the jewish white guy is gaming the system another way, so that no one can compete and everything stagnates.
Oh but don't tell the locals. It doesn't matter that it's all true, all that matters to them is cheap fried chicken and catfish. And crawfish on Fri/Sat

So now you're witnessing this site in more of it's ordinary state. There is an observable group that makes this board their home board even though most posters and lurkers are off doing other things or inhabiting other areas of the internet. Dedicated autists, if things of significance, banter, fun, or whatever occurs, it will be brought here and posted, but (mostly) the incessant drive for fast-paced 4chan shenanigens are things we grew out of. We're also painfully aware (as is much of 4chan now, one hopes) of how artificial a NOT insignificant percentage of the posts there are, as well as who is behind it. It's kind of funny, because all this donkey show hack situation has ACTUALLY done is give confirmation to many/most (if not all) of the speculations, assessments, and predictions about 4chan and moderation from myself and others back when this site was founded.
Mlpol doesn't want to replace 4chan by any means/measure, just to preserve and hold space for some of the finer aspects of the community; case in point, if 4chan got shut down and suddenly there's a whole contingent of homeless horse enthusiasts.

>Twilight's cutie markLiterally the only way you can draw a 6 pointed star that it wouldn't be David's star.
>ChakrasI dunno about this, but I bet that it's not anything that was on anyone making the show's mind.
>>9291>>9240it's worth noting there are 7 chakras, not 6.
>>9301There's also 8 chakras in several forms of ancient traditions. And while there's a bit of artistic license in that tree of harmony image, I can tell you that the artist at LEAST has a decent understanding of the significance of numbers.
For example, the tree alone has some curious coincidences, depending on how you distinguish positions. Those star-spheres hanging from the branches could adopt significance. For example, 9-oclock could be considered a 2, or it could be part of the 14 at 10-oclock. The smallest grouping occurs at the 11-th hour (3) and then you have 4 on one side of 12 and 6 on the other (a combined 10). Next comes 5 at 1-o, 9 at 2-o, and 12 hanging from 3-o (more like 3:30, but meh).
At 4:30-5 we have,... another six. And on the opposite side we have a third 6, ending with 13 for fluttershy.
So either we have: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 9, 10 (if you count the 2 at the top), 12, 13, and 14.
I could probably derive more numbers from it if I kept digging, and I'm not suggesting these details are all deliberate, but some definitely are
>>9305i'm with northy on this, i doubt the creators had anything like that in mind.
>>9309The creators no, I'm talking about that specific image

i am talking about symbolism and writers beliefs and interest being put in the show
i think this pony is allegedly Jesus
and so far every kisses in the show were when the characters were getting married which can be because of age rating
but
there is also a scene were lyra and bonbon (two female ponies) are purposing to each others and there is a few frame on a news paper about them getting married
so i do not think it is completely christian show
believe or not the show was progressive and it was ahead of its time

Has anyone been up to anything cool or interesting lately?
I haven't built any models lately, so I purchased pic related at a hobby store I frequent.
my phone updated itself overnight, and now is letting me know about all the cool new AI features i'll have to instantly turn off. thanks for trying to reassign my power button again.
>>9352you're lucky to have a shop like that around.
>>9354I really, really do not enjoy mobile phones updating and using "AI" to underscore its pitifully obsolete features. Maybe I really like having a simple phone that needn't be outfitted with needless slop for once.
Do you like science fiction models, Smokey?
>>9356yeah, i've built a few of them over the years. lately i've downloaded a few different kits to print out with my 3d printer, but getting all the parts prepped seems like it's going to be a nightmare.
A mention of science-fiction was made, and it made me think of my pet theory, certainly shared by a few, that Equestria exists in a post-heat_death universe.
One of the places you see that explained in uncomfortable detail, is the web comic, now fairly hard to find officially, "the night the magic died"
What's the common opinion around here of why the sun is so easy to move around without catastrophic consequences to the poor earth ponies?
>>9358And may the Fourth be with you.
>>9357What filament material will you be using? I know people have leaked entire gunpla moulds before. Third party firms that dealt with resin are taking this approach as well, and the results are fantastic.
Also, I wouldn't sweat parts preparation - 3D printing is out of my wheelhouse, but trimming flash, sanding, gluing and test fitting isn't as difficult as it seems. Just please wear your half-mask and goggles if you work with resin, as the resulting dust can give you cancer.
>>9358Could you elaborate?
>>9359>>9360Reee hee hee, not notice what day it is. Unaware that the 4th today is.
>>9360But I like her! Especially, y'know...at night when we're all in bed.
>>9361>Could you elaborate?Post, meaning after, heat-death, meaning there's no pools of heat left anywhere with which to do work, such as raising the temperature on the surface of the planet.
The stars died long ago. Maybe the unicorn magic pulled from their underpinnings, accelerating their demise, but no matter. The sun went out long, LONG ago.
The unicorns have created a false sun, just above the atmposphere, and for kicks we add some sparkly dots to the heat shield. The shield is needed to slow how fast our ground cools since six miles up its a quarter of a Kelvin above absolute zero. The dots are to remind us there used to be other suns, too. Of course the commoners just think they're real stars, and name the constellations after the seasons when the alicorns chooose that arrangement.
The commoners need something to believe in, so we don't exactly correct them.
[Read more] >>9363That's an interesting perspective, but isn't Equestria capable of industrial civilisation in some respects? If one can assemble and look through a telescope, or use higher magnification lenses at an observatory, wouldn't that demonstrate any cosmological shortcomings?
I wanted to write that the existence of magic itself has fundamentally altered the nature and perception of reality itself so as to permit a geocentric solar system, but I think this idea lacks depth and nuance compared to your theory.
I'm reminded of my favourite book, The Night Land, wherein the last dregs of pure humanity are mustered inside a gigantic glowing pyramidal citadel called the Great Redoubt. For a novel written at the turn of the last century it had some fascinating workarounds for a universe increasingly devoid of sunlight and even stars, replete with horrifying creatures that slowly encroach on mankind's domain. What you've written seems like a much more optimistic (albeit duplicitous) answer to heat death.
>>9361i'm using PLA. i tried using ABS and PLA+ but didn't have much luck. there's little lines on everything a 3d printer makes, and depending on the size of the print and the material, they can be really obvious. there's ways to get rid of them, it's just extra work.
>>9366PostHeatDeath Anon, saying "PETG"
I've got a couple nice prints, and have never had good results from PLA, and PLA+ killed my printer once. But PETG is really nice.
