I like it. It's just too mushy for a lot of people I think. They want Old Testament God but on their side. It's a beautiful story. If the all-powerful, all-knowing, malevolent, narcissistic God answerable to no one can see the error of his ways and repent, then so can you. It's all about being good going forward, and abandoning the dark past. It also explains the evils of the world all nice and neat like. We were created to be like him, evil, and like him we must find it in ourselves and make an effort to be good. It's nice religion.

Funnly enough the original Symbols for church were the fish representing Jesus and the wheel as it hides a Greek acronym for what the church was back then. I guess the cross was easier to draw and remember and it is also more symbolic of the struggle Jesus had during his life.
