Post comfy homesteads and how they might be built. This is very much political as independence is vital for freedom. Some questions to get the thread going:
Where would you build your homestead?
What would you grow/produce?
How many people would you have with you?
>>400817Organization and independence are political. This thread could be on either board. Not like mlpol is high traffic these days. Lets have a comfy homestead thread.
Back to the topic at hand
I would want to do mine in the desert either in Hudspeth or Brewster County where solar power is abundant and there are no building restriction and I could build earth ships for myself and other anons wanting to live on the property. I would grow Guayule and prickly pear and research material science projects like cactus leather and sustainable leather. Maybe like 10-15 people on the property. Water would have to be trucked in but it isn't too expensive.
>>400819/mlpol/ is politics and ponies. Farming and gardening is /ub/ and kinda gay imho.
>>>/mlpol/400820 →>solar power and earth mineralsyeah i can see why you would choose desert now.
also wanted to add that those earthships look like hobbit houses from the Lotr movies.
yeah i know those are crafted inside the hills and mountains.
>>400821let see what mods would decide.
>>400821Homesteading is based and redpilled. What kind of cuck doesn't want a based rural community to be a part of?
>>400825I remember pre 2016 /pol/ used to have homesteadimg threads all the time.
>>400825And some homesteading movements like the Catholic land movement and return to the land are about as based as they come.
>>>400832 →Repeating my question about cob construction from the other thread since it's probably more appropriate here. Also, where are some good places in the US besides the desert that have lax building codes?
>>400833Cob is pretty simple but I hear it is labor intensive. Some parts of Alaska have lax building codes but there is no better situation than Brewster or Hudspeth counties.
>>400833Kansas is supposed to have a few countries with lax building codes
