What great things would you like to achieve sometime in the far-off future or now if only you had more time, money or skills? There are many things one can dream up in spare time to make an impact on the world but whether they are feasible or not is another question. Feel free to post whatever unique ideas you have as long as you don't mind someone better-equipped appropriating it for their own.
McLaughlin Group, Interwebz Edition
When I was a wee lad I watched The McLaughlin Group every Sunday. It was a good aspect of having boomer parents because it gave a good glance into politics. The whole point really was watching it for Patrick Buchanan, and the few weeks he wasn't on the show it wasn't worth watching (comments on Youtube agree with me). He probably redpilled quite a people, especially considering how his left-wing counterpart Eleanor Clift was insufferable. Since then the show has lost its energy as McLaughlin himself died of old age (and replaced by Tom Rogan), but that might just be a testament to its longevity. It has had a winning formula of discussion of events in a legitimately unbiased and casual setting, quite unlike the talking heads segments of news channels.
Given the ease of connecting people on Discord and similar programs I'm surprised no one has tried to make a less Boomerized version of The McLaughlin Group on Youtube, especially given how many e-celebs and philosophers exist on the platform. You could easily fill up six slots, three on the right and three on the left. Although you could have an excellent (arguably better) show with just right-wingers, having popular left-wingers such as ContraPoints and Three Arrows would fulfill several purposes: 1) maintaining an image of being open and fair, therefore grabbing a larger audience; 2) enabling live debate and reducing the need for lengthy "debunking videos"; 3) better understanding what makes the other side tick; 4) making it less likely for Youtube to ban the show for having "evil hate speech." You could also have centrist cucks like Sargoy and bring in e-celebs such as Paul Joseph Watson or activists such as Ron Unz. Obviously deep-seated disagreements would make discussion difficult, and it could work just as well arranging participants from the center to the radical right, as a sort of opposite of the French Revolutionary National Convention.
The point of it all is to bring together some of the brightest minds on Youtube, such as Alternative Hypothesis, Argent, Academic Agent, the Distributist, and Truediltom, to discuss both philosophy and current events. This would boost their respective channels and enhance their popularity. Also, they could better erase misconceptions and bring about better understanding for their audiences. The Killstream arguably did something like this but it had a completely different tone, an all-out brawl versus an intellectual discussion which I intend.
Probably the hardest part about it would be to be a good host. You would need to give a balanced allotment of time to each of the guests without going over the maximum time for each issue. You would also need to quell rising arguments while keeping it entertaining; no doubt this is largely instinctual. You would have to be balanced between the sides, not in the centrist-cuck sense but being open-minded even if you hold strong convictions. Finally you would need to organize it well, giving your guests a few days to gather notes and getting them on in the first place; advertising probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
Despite the difficulties it would be much easier–and thought-provoking–than its TV counterpart and could easily find its way to be a well-known fixture on Youtube as the Killstream became. Of course, with the thought-policing going on it may not even be worth it at this point.
I would put this on Uberhengst but no one posts there, including me.
