Donald Trump is banning black rock and others from buying up single family homes. About time.
I'm cynical, but I'm intrigued.
>>402243Pretty much this.
I don't trust this faggot Trump.
>>402242That's one piece of the puzzle. Another is all the Boomers who go out every weekend and buy ten houses to repaint and re-carpet using wetback labor and flip, and twenty more to rent out to those same wetbacks.
Another is tens of millions of wetbacks walking around with $2200/month "UN Humanitarian Refugee Assistance" cash cards burning holes in their pockets. This is paid for with UN dues that are paid almost entirely by the American taxpayer, then laundered through the UN so that people like Biden and the Kenyan can say "Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooo, that isn't US government money!" The wetbacks buy brand new cars and rent apartment after apartment, house after house, driving rent prices and used vehicle prices through the roof for everyone else, putting them out of the reach for everyone who isn't getting UN subsidies. Biden airdropped tens of thousands of Squatamalans on the sleepy little college town where I live. They have filled up the jails and the welfare rolls, and three quarters of them are driving around shiny new Eddie Bauer Edition Ford pickup trucks--usually without insurance, without license plates, and without licenses, and they guzzle tequila and then wrap them around bridge abutments and plow into vehicles stopped at traffic lights on the regular. Rent has more than tripled, and you can't touch a used car under $12000 that isn't a rusted-out deathtrap with 300,000 miles on it.
Maybe the single biggest piece of the puzzle is the enormous Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac government subsidies for every rich kid who wants to buy real estate. These billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars have never created one additional square inch of livable land. What do we call it when more and more cash chases a fixed quantity of desirable goods? "Muh free market" soaks up every nickel of government subsidy money. Prices rise without limit, pumped up by the unceasing government money printing press. Every cent of it is taken by the government at the point of a bayonet from renters who work for a living, to subsidize Boomers buying that third vacation cottage in the Hamptons. Unplug the money machine and housing prices will come back down to what the market will support. Note that in 1900 the average American paid less than 10% of his income for housing, now it's more than half, driven largely--not entirely, but largely--by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac welfare checks for rich kids. This would, of course, make Boomers and landlords cry, so it'll never happen.
>>402245I trust him, not cuz I like him or anything, but out of process of elimination.
I simply trust everyone else less.
>>402242I think this is a step in the right direction, but it isn't enough and will probably do nothing. It's good that people are addressing the fact that corporate landlords are artificially inflating the housing market by taking homes off of the market and hoarding them though.
>>402247Yeah, it's true.
Boomers also sabotage any legislation or building projects that would produce more affordable homes, because they own their homes and see them as an investment instead ofa place to live. Goddamn boomers want to take all of their money to hell with them.
>>402275I roll my eyes at the lolbertarians who clutch their pearls whenever anyone brings up that this is a problem and speculates that maybe, just maybe, there is an implicit contract between the rulers and the governed, under which the State is obligated to protect our interests. No, your landlord isn't a plucky kid fresh out of college who pulled himself up by muh bootstraps. Every apartment complex and fleabag motel with weekly rates that isn't owned by a hedge fund represents serious multigenerational wealth. "Muh government won't let Mr. Shekelberg raise the rent if he fixes the apartments!" Mr. Shekelberg was never going to fix jack shit without the state holding him at gunpoint forcing him to do it, and he's going to squeeze people who didn't inherit a trust fund like he did for every penny he can get out of them, up to the last penny the law will allow, cackling and rubbing his hands in glee the whole while.
If you make muh free markets into an ugly little tin god, don't be surprised to find yourself strapped to the altar. Muh free markets and muh free trade included things like the slave trade. Muh free movement of capital hollowed out every Western nation's economy and turned China into a hostile superpower while simultaneously made us more dependent upon slave labor than the Confederacy ever was, it's just that the laogai factories are somewhere else, where the urban shitlib do-gooders can't see them or hear the screams. Muh free movement of labor is turning your town into a Third World slum while you watch.
If you make a core principle of your belief system letting trust fund babies do whatever the fuck they want, one of the things this gets you is George Soros.
>>402276As a fascist my counter point to libertarians is that since the market has never been 100% free, they shouldn't invoke "free market" as an excuse for letting Jews consolidate wealth. Kikes are only able to build massive amounts of wealth because of the government. The government protects their property rights. The government enforces ownership. The government creates law and order so that their tenants don't just murder them. The government enforces IP laws. The government creates a civilized society orderly enough to make businesses profitable. The government organizes electricity and water infrastructure that allows for urban development. The market was never "free" I'm the first place: it was a long-lasting system of state policies made to encourage business and protect property (which is a good thing); and since the state functionally uses its power to enable their businesses to exist, it is more than justified in using that same power to promote the interests of our people, or at least to protect them from openly-predatory business practices.
If businesses use their businesses to prey on their fellow countrymen, the state should just let them have a "free market" and withhold all of its protection: their property should no longer legally recognized. Their IPs are public domain. Nobody should investigate or prosecute if their executives are murdered. Nobody should stop their property from being vandalized. Nobody should protect their shipping vessels from pirates. If they have squatters, they'll have to force them out themselves.
>>402280I don't think so. Most what he said and done turned to be lies and half-assed attempts that turn to nothing burgers or outright shit.
Anti usury laws? He is actually doing something based.
>>402341That's actually kinda nice. Hope it's real. Not that I can benefit, I actually pay my credit card debt. But I did experience a period of unemployment in the past, and that's when 20% APR really hurt.
It's more of a ragebait than anything else; by beating Democrats to the punch on these sorts of policies, Trump effectively takes away another talking point and invites some dumbass to somehow paint "curbing kike credit company power" as a bad thing.
Fuck this two faced nigger
>>402880I found the vid. Fuck you with a ten foot pole lol
>>402881My ID changed, shit. Also, link is this one:
https://youtu.be/kAimMtJWOhs?si=GIBUSYoV2YzOt0WTSeems the gist is that Trump wants to lower the interest rates to mitigate loss of property value for pre-existing owners. Is it good? I dunno, but it's hell of a lot more nuanced than "I wanna make houses expensive for lulz"
That thumbnail really does an injustice, what the fuck.
>>402882He's pricing out the youth from homeownership so the boomer parasites can continue to have prosperity. Fuck orange nigger.
>>402887...by lowering mortgage payments so more people can afford to take the house loan? Doesn't matter what price it is so long as the monthly payments are payable, and houses are generational assets so even the kids can inherit it and continue paying off mortgage if they must.
If anything, the usual method of "forcibly build more houses" hasn't worked since eisenhower (and even then it produced suburbs so soulless it might as well be soviet brutalist apartments), so I'm pretty open to literally any other idea at this point.
>>402888We have those foldable houses that can be built cheap. Just legalize putting them on plots of land and the housing crisis would be solved. They won't do it though because boomers don't want their property values to fall.
>>402889>semi-portable houses>somehow this affects real housesI guess it is a step above the RV, but these foldables seem to fall under that category cuz it's anything but permanent residence. There's also the fact that housing is primarily the state's responsibility, and it's state zoning chicanery that fucks up the local housing market. I've seen firsthand the sheer night-and-day difference between states and sometimes between counties. The feds can make sweeps but it's really the state that determines if a house is 500k or 1mil.
Last thing, I argue it's becoming increasingly disingenuous to blame it on boomer houseowners. Maybe back in 2008, but we're almost 2 decades past 2008. You walk in your average suburb and it's not comprised of geriatrics. Hell, the modern retired old folk are more likely born in the 60s, Gen X if anything.
>>402889>We have those foldable houses that can be built cheap. Just legalize putting them on plots of land and the housing crisis would be solved. We already did that, and it's a fucking scam. Convincing people to build "mobile" homes on plots of land they don't home from which they could be evicted at any time was predatory and usurious.
>>402897Just let people put their mobile homes on land they own. As of now mobile homes have to be in trailer parks and people can't fully own their homes.
>>402903If I own land I might as well just build a real house at that point.
Also
>how do we solve the housing crisis, ie, severe supply shortage of houses + price crash so no one wants to sell houses?>Oh, just buy land and do it yourselfVery viable option for little ol' zoomer me.
>>402903>on land they own. That's the first hurdle. People can't afford land.
>>402904The mobile homes are a lot cheaper.
>>402906Lots + mobile homes are cheaper than a traditionally constructed house by a long shot.
>>402910not really a lot cheaper. Marginally cheaper. Could get used ones for a lot cheaper though, and most of those will be good enough for a while.
>>402904There are cheap ways to live on property without too much issue without a house or trailer. A larger car could be enough. Some states don't care what you set up for a house so could do a temp. straw bale house and dig a hole for a traditional outhouse. Build things more correctly from there as you have time. Places like oregon you are screwed, they will jail you for doing something like that.
Otherwise places like Butte Montana have cheap old houses that are fine to live in.
>>402911>>402910The issue isn't just land, it's land that situated in locations near the places people can find jobs. Those places are universally expensive.
The problem is spreading to rural areas too, as remote work has actually only increased demand and inflated prices across the board.
>>402912I argue that the long-term solution is condos, which operate similar to houses but with the compactness of apartments, especially in cities or city outskirts. The problem is, again, retarded state zoning bullshit and red tape. I see so many empty lots that are hoarded by some real estate entity that literally cannot be developed in any direction cuz the city, county, or state has a thousand ways to say no.
>>402914>I argue that the long-term solution isburning it all to the ground, starting with the federal reserve. Why play along with a (((system))) that's designed to fuck you over?
The only correct, final solutions lie past rivers of blood and mountains of corpses.
>>402917Yes, cuz it worked out so well for russia back then, innit.
>>402922Ah, so it's alright for kikes to do it to others, but when others do it "it doesn't work"?
Fucking weird how only kikes are allowed to actually fuck shit up while the cattle just thinks and prays.
I tire of hearing you bitch impotently about jews and how every bad thing ever is the jews and calling everyone who isn't so frothing mad at jews a jew.
How about you enlighten me about some potential solutions. I see this shitty nation like a poorly maintenanced engine: clunky, old, probably a hazard, but fixable, perhaps upgradeable, and not-yet replaceable. If replacing is the only way, we'll need to do some "shopping". Do recommend a potential replacement, sir, cuz you're so adamant about tearing out the engine. I'm geniunely open to some ideas here.
>>402924Similar situation over here, but it's more or less the same problem. It's worse i Ireland from what I hear. Greedy cunts are the problem, whether they happen to be kikes or not is moot.
>I tire of hearing youDo you make a funny voice when you read his posts out loud?
Jewish, jesuitic and freemasonic parasitism is hardly an engine. If anything, it is a thief stealing your fuel in plain view, while holding you responsible. The greatest lie that they have ever told is that 'thieving corrupter who gorges on the blood of circumcised infants' is an essential role that cannot be left vacant. After all, how did America survive without central banking, mass immigration and countless other abominations in the past?
>>402926I don't exactly understand what the fuck you're typing, but America can certainly survive without central banking. The federal reserve is actually a relatively recent thing (1913). Before it was up to states to figure it out. It's probably far more complicated these days what with fiat currency and every nation finding new exotic ways to spend money they don't have, but the concept is still doable.
>>402928It is doable, but it would require governments at both the federal and state level to massively downsize, because they would no longer be able to endlessly fund programs they can't afford. Huge swaths of useless bureaucrats with high-figure jobs would suddenly be out of work. That's why it will never happen.
>>402925>whether they happen to be kikes or not is mootYeah let's not think about blood/genetics and how it affects behavior, including greed, along with everything else. It's just them immoral cunts, don't think about the race "matey". It's not like jews have been enforcing their scummy worldview upon everyone else everywhere they go, with the help of physical/mental poisons
and especially rape and trauma based on it, their staple. Not like us being born into a kiked up world affects our behaviour off the bat and we end up having to unkike our own thinking for years upon years.
Why don't you record yourself reading my posts in a funny voice and post it here, on some other board or in another thread? I'll even make a response in the same vein. Unless you're afraid of your voice getting glownigged. Mine got glownigged about 10 years ago anyway so not much to lose there.>>402928>I don't exactly understand what the fuck you're typingYou're either a kike being facetious/feigning ignorance or incredibly retarded. Probably both. Maybe some other kind of a semite? There are a couple other kinds aside from jews and arabs. I just don't believe that you're on this particular website and simultaneously somehow don't understand what he said there.
You've been arguing in favor of keeping and playing by the rules of something that puts you at a severe, permanent disadvantage. Unless you're a semite. Then you'd want that filth to stay up, of course. It's as if you want others to be distracted into thinking about how to please the judaic human-cattle-farm system instead of thinking of how to shit on it.
Also what exactly is your reason for not capitalizing the word "jew"? Just curious. My assumption is that you're a jew tying to fit in in a le ebil nozi place. Of course you'll deny that either way but I must ask - do you think you're fitting it? It'd be too bizarre if there wasn't at least a couple smug, pretentious JIDF dolls or something of the sort residing in a place like this. >>402930>do you think you're fitting in?A fucking typo. Again. Just noticed.
I 'ate making typos. Need to stop maing tpos. Fck.
