The McDonalds thing was obviously just a cornball campaign stunt of the sort that politicians do every election; everyone involved was aware of this but nobody really cared. The point is not to convince people that the candidate is literally just a regular stiff who works at McDonalds, the point is to showcase the candidate being personable and interacting with ordinary people. Most politicians can't do this without looking cringe and fake. Trump is capable of being friendly without coming across as tryhard and phony, so a stunt like this works for him.

That's why they're all seething, because Trump effortlessly achieved the kind of authenticity that even talented politicians like Obama can only achieve with carefully managed events. Meanwhile they're stuck with a candidate who needs constant coaching just to read her scripted lines, and still comes across as an absolute retard most of the time. They swapped out a dud candidate for another dud candidate, and there's nothing they can do about it because the election is in less than two weeks. Their only options are to either bite the bullet and lose, or else cheat so hard that they retain power but forfeit all credibility. Obama is smart enough to realize this, thus he is now mired in an inescapable quagmire of endless buttrage.

I remember one those, I believe it was Stephen Colbert, who commented on his show on a photo on Donald's feed, which was of him eating KFC on his plane. Stephen Colbert said something like, "Yeah, but we don't use a fork and knife. It's finger-licking food." I'm paraphrasing hard but yeah, they don't like it when the opposition is humanized.
