Here's a thread to act as sort of a hub for the Canadian political scene, otherwise known as "Please God please just let it stop, we keep thinking it can't get worse but then these doped-up foreigners sit in a big wooden room and invent ways to make it worse than we ever thought imaginable"
Elections are coming up. Quick rundown:
The Green party is only sticking around the talk bad about the Orange party.
The Orange Party is no longer giving their votes to the Red Party.
The Red Party is once again more blue than the Blue Party.
The Blue Party has had more members switch over to the Purple Party.
The Purple Party keeps asking me for money.
I'll keep tabs on habbenings and try to explain them cohesively. Feel free to contribute. Please don't laugh at us because our PM made sex with goats legal merely because Allah wills it.

The weather during Canada Day was horrible. Heavy storms, even some tornado warnings in parts. I checked the weather map during the day, and huge storm systems were sweeping across the whole nation.
Hypothetically, if weather control technology existed, using it to suppress public gatherings that would promote nationalistic spirit is something I could see being done.

With wildfires cockblocking a lot of fireworks shows the previous two years, I thought there would be a big push to get out and let loose. Fireworks are even prettier in the rain and much safer. Even with the asinine heat it's still humid. In my city the show would usually happen over a narrow bay. The whole skyline is now condos which really should have contributed to their being a big show because only Chinese immigrants can afford condos and Chinese people love fireworks.

They do indeed control the weather, specifically to piss me off in particular, but they wouldn't need to go to such lengths for the general masses. They would simply need to have every local FM radiohost douchebag chuckle out that the big firework show will not be happening because of it being a danger to public health, or to dogs' mental wellbeing or something. People who were looking forward to the show would say "fuuuuuck man" and then smoke SSRI bongs to forget all about it. It makes me sick. Sick!
