Also, every time one of those threads popped up, the post count went to the cleaners. The demoralizing effect is undeniable. Complainers only shit the place on, but to my opinion, shitposters are the real engine of any imageboard, even the ones posting newfaggotry.

My observation has been that activity is up lately, I assume we've gotten an influx of people from the DataByte/PCL drama. In any case, doomsayers have been wailing about how "mlpol is dying" for as long as the site's been around, and thus far it hasn't. Seems to me that if it was going to die it would have done so by now.

Before you go fishing, you should focus more on the higher priorities: making threads. If you attract people here while there aren't any new/active threads on the catalog, the new posters will just leave.
/mlpol/ needs more threads, and good threads (but also fun shitpost threads), not defacto-general threads or "random X" threads, but single-topic, individual threads about news topics or even just randumb horse fun. New conversations need to be started. Anyone who actively uses this site could do more to make threads here.

I have been. 30 of the threads on the catalog are mine, and I'm not saying that to brag, but to say that I can't be putting content on this board all by myself, not because I don't want to but because I don't want to suffocate the board by turning it into my personal blog. I know there are good posters on this board, because lots of you guys chine in on conversations in my threads and give insightful viewpoints, so why don't you guys make more threads of your own?
